Let's be honest. Virus is the most actual theme of these days. Even for us, adults, is very hart to understand what is happening around us, so imagine how difficult and strange it should be for the children. Do you agree with me? Than maybe Panda Demick by John Shay and Jenny Zandona's sweet illustrations,is the right book for you! It's a heartwarming story about a little panda and friends learning to heal and unite in response to a new unseen circumstance. This book is the child-friendly, optimistic way how to face and discuss with your little one actual, not easy situation in the world.
I must say I loved the illustrations! But I am not so sure about the words... I understand that this story is for kids, but... I do not know, really. I think the situation we are living is so serious that it demands even more care when talking about it with kids. It looks that people who are saying: "Thank Goodness this happened! Now we are goin to udnerstand life and bla bla bla..." and well...
Excellent 5 Stars and to be able to give someone else the opportunity to share this book with a nurse in a children's unit was an awesome add-on! This gave me hope there are still kind and thoughtful humans in the world still.
I won this through Goodreads' First Reads. It's a very cute story about a panda and the positive things that have come from the pandemic. The illustrations are beautifully charming and very warm.
