PROS: ◇The art was stunning, especially in the 2nd half. ◇Short webtoon (88 eps) ◇The sci-fi elements ◇That it was a retelling (of sorts) of a classic sci-fi story. If you know the original story, you get an idea of how it was going to go.This story was still its own.
CONS: ◇The pacing dragged some in the middle. ◇The foreshadowing there wasn't enough for the reader to be able to put together. ◇The villian luck for most of this plot (98%) No spoilers, but wow, it was stressful to read at times.
Overall, I am glad I picked it up. All my coins went to this webtoon 😅 Do I recommend it? Not really. I had a lot of problems with. Can't get into it without spoiling but a one-time road for me personally.
Content Warning: ◇Fade to black scenes (3x) ◇Strong Language (about 8x)
⚠️Trigger Warnings⚠️ ◇Grief ◇Death ◇Murder ◇Cheating ◇emotional abuse ◇Lose of a child
What a wild ride of a first season. It went from a Scifi romance to action thriller and to an amalgamation of all and boy did I love it.
Soon Ki (who is also the co writer of the webtoon), 'Another Love' is sooo good at writing m/f romances! (Finally 😅😂 jk).
Although the exposition of the clones district may have felt rushed, they made up for it during the final episodes. I'm ecstatic to see what they cook up for the second season!
(Irene C S Reyes commented in one of its episodes: "This thing is looking like Blade Runner and iRobot has a child who likes Evangelion... I love it!" I haven't watched iRobot but the mention of Blade Runner and Eva pretty much sums up my thoughts.
And the Orpheus/Eurydice parallels as unintentional as they are destroyed me [crying shaking throwing up])

I have no idea what to rate this. I think I love this story about a clone tester who falls in love with their test subject, but the twists are so numerous and thrown at the reader so fast I can't decide if it's the worst thing I've ever read, or if the many questions about the morality of creating sentient AI make it a work of sheer genius. At this point I have to keep reading to figure out the answer.
It was interesting at first by involving a women Yuri who’s marriage is on the rocks and creates a love clone named Victor. Their romance was fast paced but cute. However I ended up skimming over the pages as it got to be boring pretty quickly for me to continue…..
Ummm….3.5 stars? This story is absolutely, completely, and utterly bonkers. Not to mention that I find the general premise ✨terrifying✨ but the art was nice and it was…entertaining?
In conclusion, I hope y’all rich people don’t pursue clone technology to fix y’all’s loneliness. Thank you.
I DON'T EVEN KNIW WHAT I JUST READ,, IM STILL NOT CONVINCED THEYRE NOT BOTH CLONES,, AT THIS POINT THEY MIGHT ALL BE CLONES,, I WAS SO WEIRDED OUT AT THE BEGINNING AND WAS HONESTLY GONNA DROP THIS BUT NOW I HAVE TO KNOW
(end of season 2) what did I even just read??? this was so deep??? but so so weird???? I think it was good??? I'm mostly just confused

Pros: - Tons of plot twists that keep you invested - Gorgeous art - Fun premise
Cons: - Doesn't always make sense - Too many characters and plotlines - A prescient villain who is always 10 steps ahead of the main characters, never falters, and is completely deranged.
Didn't understand what was happening half the time..... Confused is an understatement for what i was...... But good twists, although i hope i hadn't seen the spoilers in comments😖
The sad thing is that, had I rated this during season 1, it would've been 5 stars. It was so interesting, with crazy turns, and I loved it then. But at some point during season 2, everything just started to get too convoluted and hard to follow and I started losing interest. It wasn't really interesting anymore by the time it ended. Maybe it would've been better and easier if I wasn't reading it on a 1 episode a week basis? Idk, it just kind of lost me.
