Hot and exciting. Kimberly Kincaid’s latest novel has a great balance between all the feels. There’s slow burn sexiness, wonderful banter and camaraderie, and a whole lot of heart stopping drama. I was biting my nails one moment, smiling and fanning myself then next. In Too Deep was a hard book to put down as I kept turning pages with its fast paced, gripping plot.

Luke Slater has spent the last ten years taking care of his sister and grandmother while building armor around himself to keep everyone else at arm’s length. Keeping his distance from his fire engine mates had not been a difficult task. Asking him to partner up with Quinn Copeland on ambulance duty is an entirely different monster. Not only because she’s the sexiest woman he’s ever laid eyes on, but because when their first shift goes FUBAR at the hands of a vicious gang leader, his need to comfort and protect surface with vengeance.

For the past five years, paramedic Quinn Copeland has had the honor and pleasure of calling the men of women of Station Seventeen her family. Except the incredibly attractive but closed off fire fighter and EMT trainee Luke Slater, who she’d never see as a brother because the attraction she feels towards him is undeniable. He’s also the only person who’s able to calm her paralyzing fear after facing a pitiless murderer together. Will they be able to get over their fear and outmaneuver this threat?

Kimberly Kincaid has succeeded in delivering another thrilling romance. Even though the romance is a slow burn, the action begins right from the start and doesn’t let down until the very end which was magnified by including the villain’s point of view. It was as scary as it was brilliant!

But let’s talk about the romance. Quinn and Luke were perfect for each other, they’re both first responders but have polar opposite personalities. She’s outgoing and is friends with everyone. He’s quiet likes to keep to himself, so it was such a pleasure to see how their budding relationship develops into one of openness, trust and ultimately love which was deeply rooted by the extenuating circumstances they faced. The moment when Luke’s walls completely crumble when Quinn finally voices her fear is absolutely moving. Add to that the amazing chemistry between them that only made it made it better.

Kincaid and Station Seventeen fans like myself will also enjoy having the entire gang back along with the Intelligence Unit. I can’t wait to see who is up next!

In Too Deep is book #3 in the Station Seventeen series by Kimberly Kincaid. It is a standalone any romantic suspense lover will enjoy. Told from various points of view with a happy ending.

4.5 stars

I was thrilled to be getting the next Station Seventeen book. So far, Kimberly Kincaid impressed me with her writing skills, her knowledge of the profession and with the way she writes romantic suspense. Yes, there were some liberties taken with protocol but, it was for the best. Sometimes you have to overlook something for the greater good. But, I wasn’t the least bit surprised that In Too Deep impressed me in the same way that Skin Deep and Deep Burn did.

I loved Luke and Quinn’s story. They had, not only a love of helping people, but an appreciation and commitment for the job that totally impressed me. Even when things went FUBAR, their first concern was helping the patient … dedication – and that showed throughout the story.

Luke and Quinn handled their situation in their own ways. Luke was a loner, he kept things close to the vest, his job was to protect and serve, not let anyone get to close and to make sure Quinn made it through this ordeal. Quinn was open, loving, had a bevy of friends and her first concern was protecting the family that she loves. She wasn’t handling having a killer stalk and threaten her and Luke and those close to them. But, Luke soothes her, calms her and she can’t fight the attraction that she feels for him. She also can’t believe that he chose her to finally open up to, show her the side of himself that he kept hidden and admit his feelings. When they do come together, it’s explosive and the love that they have been denying themselves shines through.

Luke and Quinn were surrounded by so much love. The Station Seventeen crew couldn’t be more supportive and concerned once they found out what was going on. Luke’s family was wonderful – I loved Momma Billie and Hayley. They were strong, independent woman who loved Luke fiercely and didn’t fold when trouble came knocking at their door. Who would have thought that it would be Hayley that saved the day?

Kimberly Kincaid wrote a beautiful romantic suspense. She showed us how wonderful things could be if you open up and trust the people around you to have your six. She didn’t let the action slow down and she made us feel the pain, suffering, concern and love that both Luke and Quinn were dealing with. It was wonderful how she made sure we understood their feeling and why they had them. Quinn was written as an unstoppable woman who was determined to overcome her fear. And, Ms. Kincaid did an amazing job of bringing Luke out of his shell and showing us the true man that he was. I was honored to read and review this story and am looking forward to more from everyone at Station Seventeen.

The crew from Station Seventeen are back and Kimberly Kincaid delivers one hell of a ride again. One that will leave you breathless, hot and bothered and creating a draft from turning the pages so quick. This book was flipping fantastic, I loved it so hard.

Are you ready for rookie Luke Slater and paramedic Quinn Copeland’s story? Who are we kidding of course you are. Trust me dear reader this is a book you don’t want to miss.

I will admit to letting out a shriek when it was announced that this was the main couple for this book. Going in, I was excited just because it was a Station Seventeen book, but what I found was yet another amazing read that had me falling even more head over heels for this crew and this authors writing.

I was totally hooked from the first pages with its light banter that lulled you into thinking it was going to be a completely different type of book. Then bam, the action starts and the holding your breath begins and doesn’t let go till the end when you turn the last page with a satisfied sigh because the author has delivered yet another stellar book. Be forewarned, there are a couple of parts in this book where I was literally holding my breath till the next passage played out. It’s so, so worth the risk of passing out though.

Kimberly Kincaid has given us the reader a book that has the perfect blend of humour, suspense, romance, action and character building that is not only perfect for series reader but newbies to Station Seventeen.

Not to mention that the author can write one hell of a bad guy. Just wait till you meet Ice, the bad guy of this book. I will not say more about him other than he still gives me chills thinking about him.

One of my favourite things about this book was how we get to see Quinn and Luke open up and realise that you don’t have to keep everything to yourself. There is one very small line in the book that Quinn utters, that no kidding just about broke my heart. “I’m scared”. THAT was the line when I knew I was totally lost over this couple and their story.

I loved seeing Quinn and Luke break the shells around their hearts and to let someone in. The fact that they had smoking hot chemistry only made it better. And okay, way hotter when they decide to give into that chemistry. But that said, while they are hot together, their connection is so deep that when they trust the other they truly trust. It really shows in the tender scenes and will make you fall harder for this couple as they do the same.

For fans of the series and really why aren’t you? Yes, you get to see the rest of the crew from Station Seventeen and the Intelligence Unit. It’s almost like visiting family again. Plus we also get to meet Luke’s family whom I absolutely loved.

To be really honest, the biggest reason I love this book and the series is because it perfectly blends everything I love in romantic suspense with a heaping dose of family and ALWAYS leaves me thinking about the book at odd times long after I finish it. This was no different and I for one can’t wait for it to happen again with the next book.

This was the first of the series that I wasn't super into. The romance did not give me all the feels like the previous books. I think it's time for me to take a break from this series.

Kimberly Kincaid’s Station Seventeen isn’t just a bunch of firefighting men who go out to battle the blazes, although the mention of bunker gear, sexy times involving dirty firemen and fire-heroics is probably enough for many readers. But Kincaid serves up a hefty dose of good ol’ romantic suspense where characters from law enforcement and emergency responders mingle and rally around each other to get the plot going. Not only is this right up my smelly, cat-littered alley, but I love it when a story surprises me…the good way.

‘In Too Deep’ just had one of those great combinations that did it for me: a solid, believable suspense plot, likeable protagonists who don’t cross TSTL lines and sufficient twists and turns that just ramp up the tension. It was thoroughly addictive as a result and I hadn’t expected to like Luke Slater and Quinn Copeland as much as I did along with the interaction of the secondary characters that helped pad out the narrative and shape both Luke’s and Quinn’s contrasting characters. Kincaid’s handling of these interactions was top-notch and it was balanced quite nicely with the unfolding drama that got more intense and riveting as the pages went on.

While I appreciated Kincaid not making light at all about the younger man (rookie) and the slightly older woman (an experienced paramedic), what impressed me most was the way Kincaid tried to level the characters by giving Luke the bigger, calmer voice of reason and Quinn, a character who in turn, didn’t use her age or professional experience to belittle him. I liked their similar backgrounds, their latent attraction and chemistry, which was why the short rift and the easy resolution between them at the end felt forced and written for the sake of creating conflict, when there was already plenty enough to go around.

Overall though, ‘In Too Deep’ exceeded my expectations once it was established that the plot wasn’t going to revolve around a decision that could have made Quinn look like a TSTL heroine. The book was absorbing enough that I didn’t want to put it down, which made me impatient by the end for what Kincaid already has up her sleeve for the next book in this series.

An awesome addition to Station Seventeen. In this story we meet Luke, rookie firefighter fills in on the ambulance. His partner is Quinn, a kick butt paramedic who is also very sexy. They run some awesome calls including a call with a gang leader, Ice. Ice, soon threatens their lives. I must say he is just evil!!

Kimberly Kincaid delivers a story that has plenty of romance, intrigue and plenty of suspense that will keep you turning the pages. She shows the true brotherhood of the fire department. Great chemistry and romance between Luke and Quinn, their relationship brought them both out their shells.

I highly recommend this book, along with the rest of the Station Seventeen stories. Can be read as a stand alone.

Things really heat up at Station Seventeen when rookie fire fighter Luke Slater fills in for an injured EMT and gets to spend a lot of time with the very sexy EMT Quinn Copeland. He needs to stay focused on the job and not the woman. but fighting the attraction between them proves to be difficult. especially after a horrifying call has them in a gang leader's cross hairs.

In Too Deep is a fantastic read filled with a great romance and a ton of action and suspense. Definitely a book for the must read list. I highly recommend it..

Surprisingly, I didn't mind this one. I've struggled a little with the prior ones, so I was definitely nervous going into this one. I liked both Luke and Quinn.

I think the thing that bugged me the most was the actual crime that happened. It wasn't hard to figure out how it would all play out. I would've loved something that gave a little bit more of a mystery.

I did like that the romance between these two didn't have such a huge slow burn. It had just enough that it worked for me.

This was a solid 3 for me but I'm bumping to a 4 specifically because of the epilogue. FINALLY, the author gave us an epilogue that was for the current couple and not for future books. Hopefully it's not a one off and we can expect this going forward with the rest of her books.

This is the third book in the series but I found it quite easy to read as a stand-alone.

Luke Slater is a rookie fire-fighter on Engine 17 in the city of Remington. On the side he is also studying to be a paramedic.

Quinn is the second seat in the Remington ambulance attached to Engine 17, when her partner Parker injures his hand and is off duty for a while Luke is rostered as temporary replacement. On pretty much their first call they are kidnapped by members of the Viper gang and forced to look after one of their gang who has been shot by members of a rival gang. Quinn and Luke are eventually released but the leader of the Vipers, Ice, threatens to come after them and their friends and family if they breathe a word of what happened and who they saw.

This is kind of a mash up between romantic –suspense and a flat-out sexy firefighter romance and it didn’t really work that well for me. There was quite a good plot but I did feel at one point that Ice brought everything on himself, if he had just walked away and not tried to frighten Quinn and Luke then things wouldn’t have spiralled. Similarly, although Quinn hid it well she definitely had TSTL tendencies which, given her EMT training appeared rather stupid.

Also, is it the adrenaline? Why do two people who have lusted after each other from afar but remained professional because there is too much at stake suddenly throw caution to the winds when their lives are threatened? Halfway through this tense, gripping thriller we stop for copious amounts of sex over and over again, I get that Quinn and Luke aren’t the detectives and can’t do the investigation themselves but it does seem odd.

Just to pile on the woe, Luke and Quinn both have shitty childhoods and angst-ridden back stories which I don’t think were necessary for the plot. Given the other stuff that was going on I think it could have been dispensed with frankly. Yet Luke apparently is zen enough to help Quinn get over the trauma of being kidnapped and threatened at gun-point - he knows just what she needs, yes of course, sex IS always the cure, right?

My only other criticism is that I found the other characters to be fairly indistinguishable. I couldn’t tell if they were cops, detectives or firefighters, grunt or superior officer they were just a morass of names.

I would still give one of this author’s books a try, she wrote some gripping thriller type stuff and maybe it was just the balance in this particular book that I found to be wrong. Edit - I have actually read several of Kimberly Kincaid's books before in different series and enjoyed them.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Edited for typos.

Romantic Suspense is a hard genre to write and to read at times. There are factors that every single one gets judged upon:

Romance to suspense/mystery ratio. How much time does the author spend on the romance? How much time is spent developing the suspense/ mystery? Many times, a reader will encounter an instalove situation, and while that can be enjoyable, some readers feel that it’s just not realistic. For me, an enjoyable romantic suspense book must have a well- developed conflict and bad guy. Otherwise, it isn’t as enjoyable.

2. The female main character. A strong heroine is not only desired in a compelling romantic suspense novel but absolutely necessary. However, often the heroine is labeled the damsel in distress or oft nicknamed TSTL (Too Stupid To Live). We all have read those characters, they hear a noise in the garage, go check it out, and OMG…she gets kidnapped! Once said DID (Damsel in Distress) is taken or finds herself in some kind of trouble she breaks down, cries a lot, makes very little or no effort to get herself out of the situation. In a nutshell, she waits for the hero to ride in on his white horse and rescue her.

Let’s be honest, these are all valid criticisms. Well, they used to be. I know that at least in my experience these kinds of heroines are becoming fewer and far between. That’s not to say that they aren’t still out there and that there is something wrong with reading and enjoying those characterizations, I don’t mind them enough to not read a book because of it.

DIDs are becoming fewer and farther between it’s because the authors I read, consistently, like, Kimberly Kincaid are writing strong, capable and kickass heroines. In Kincaid’s newest release, In Too Deep, she delivers not only a loving and very caring heroine but a woman who stands up for herself and those around her when the going gets tough. Oh yeah, Luke Slater is totally swoon-worthy, too.

Quinn is an easy to like female character who does not fall prey to those worn out romantic suspense downfalls; she’s a rational human being who feels fear and sadness and expresses it. In fact, while helping with rookie firefighter, Luke, with his EMS training, she has developed quite a crush on him.

“But between Slater’s broad, muscular shoulders and the killer combination of his light brown skin and piercing blue eyes that were gorgeous enough to render a girl’s panties useless, she really couldn’t deny the truth. The longer she and Slater worked together, the more she wanted to turn that bad idea into a very. Very. Good. Time.”

She always makes sure that she treats him in a professional manner and that he is getting the most out of his training and she also recognizes that he somewhat of a closed book.

While training to be a firefighter, Luke decides to add EMS training as well and Quinn, who is helping him, is the one woman he cannot keep at arm's length. Luke purposely keeps to himself, while devoting himself to caring for his grandmother and younger sister. After losing his parents when he was younger, he tends to focus on taking care of others and on NOT connecting with other people on a deeper level any more than he has to. He is not an alpha jerk, by any means, he protects himself from enduring anymore heartache and pain. The chink in his armor is Quinn. She is funny, caring, smart, sexy and tough and Luke respects her.

“And that was the problem, right there. He was a dumbass. He didn’t just like Quinn in a casual friends, good co-workers, she’s-helping-me-with-my-training kind of way. Nope. He was attracted to her. From the minute he’d clapped eyes on Quinn on his very first day as a rookie, Luke had had this reckless desire to kiss her.”

The tipping point for Quinn and Luke’s feelings occur when they are forced into a very dangerous and harrowing situation involving a local gang leader. Frankly, I was surprised that Kincaid dove in so quickly and placed her main characters in such peril. But by doing so, it sets up the momentum for the rest of the book and how Luke and Quinn deal with what happened to them. Not mention how they take care of each other during the kidnapping is moving.

Slater splayed his fingers wider, each fingertip pressing in that firm, quiet way of his. His chest rose and fell against hers, his left side flush with her right. Somehow, Quinn inhaled again, matching the rhythm of his breaths. They would be her last ones. Slater’s too, and—“Easy.”

Like the touch, his whisper was calm, steady. Shifting just slightly, he wrapped his other arm around her rib cage, his mouth coming to rest just shy of her temple. “There. Breathe.”

Another sometimes used criticism is the use of sex as a fix all. Hero and heroine are scared, angry, jacked up from adrenaline, so some time beneath the sheets will magically cure what ails ya. Kincaid does not push her characters in that direction. Quinn and Luke recognize that as good as might feel; it’s not the answer. Plus, for Luke, he’d be letting Quinn into his circle of trust and that is a big no-no.

Meanwhile, the suspense aspect is humming right along. Many of the Station Seventeen and law enforcement officials that have been seen in previous books are working on the case that Quinn and Luke find themselves right smack dab in the middle of. Ice, the gang leader that kidnapped them has aligned himself with a real big bad who traffics guns. Ice has no desire to see that opportunity go south. Therefore, Quinn and Luke must be eliminated or even worse their friends and family members are in danger.

Back to the sexy times. When Quinn and Luke do consummate their feelings for each other and give in, it feels perfectly natural. They’ve cultivated a partnership through Luke’s EMS training, so the feelings they give in to, are in no way considered instalove. And once they break the seal on the sexytimes, well, it’s on like…well, not Donkey Kong but, they enjoy themselves A LOT.

While In Too Deep is the third book in the Station Seventeen series, it can be read as a standalone easily. I’ll warn you though, once you read one book in this series, you’ll want to binge read them all!

If you’re in the mood for a whip-smart, well- paced, super sexy (fans self) romantic suspense novel with a loveable and swoon-worthy hero and a kickass but caring heroine, In Too Deep is precisely what you need.

A new romantic thriller from Kimberly Kincaid and the firefighters and medics of Station Seventeen. Quinn Copeland is partners with Parker Drake on the ambulance and Luke Slater is a rookie firefighter finishing up his EMT training. His goal is to work the ambulance, and after a Parker has a freak accident he gets the chance. Luke and Quinn have been circling each other with hidden feelings, both with heartache in their background. Danger, suspense, and mind numbing fear bring them together. Now, they just have to survive......

I enjoy Kimberly Kincaid's books and series I have read. The Station Seventeen series is about a fire station and paramedic teams. This is a natural environment for adventures, as well as investigations occurring due to arson. The world provides a great setting with many fit young men and women, and with a real life feel of ordinary people trying to help others and save lives. No wonder it's a hot bed of romance! There's also the camaraderie of the team.

The series is usually more contemporary romance but In Too Deep tips into romantic suspense.  Luke is trying to become as skilled as he can learning to be a paramedic as well as a firefighter. He's the strong and silent guy who isn't going to ever give out his heart again to be broken. He keeps to himself and takes care of his grandma and younger sister.  But he's attracted to Quinn, a paramedic involved in his training. She's as open as he is closed and has found her home and family with the people at Station Seventeen.

Events put them in a brutal situation and they spend more time together, developing real feelings for each other. It's engaging to watch them grow closer and deal with all their feelings through the difficult situations they fight to survive. They have both the comfort of a partner and the sizzle of sex. Recommended.

Paramedic Quinn Copeland thinks of her station mates as family, but working alongside Station Seventeen rookie, Luke Slater, is different. For one, she doesn't think of him as a brother; and when they find themselves in the crosshairs of a brutal gang leader, she finds herself trusting Luke more than anything. So, with lives on the line and impossible choices to make, will Quinn do the right thing for everyone so she and Luke can have a chance at happy ever after; or will their fears of losing everything and everyone important to them put their shot at forever in jeopardy?

What a superbly-crafted, spine-tingling, fast-paced read Ms. Kincaid has delivered in this third book of her Station Seventeen series, which combines painful pasts being exposed; putting one's trust in the right person; and the importance of family together to make this a story that I could not put down. The way this story started drew me into this story immediately, as Luke works hard to be the best firefighter he can be, but isn't afraid to tease his fellow station mates a little, as long as he doesn't let them get too close in terms of learning more about him than everyone already does. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine began working together that this story really comes alive, as Luke and Quinn were in for a wild ride when it comes to trusting each other and keeping everyone they care about safe. Will everything work out? Will they be able to keep those they love and care about safe?

As for the dialogue, it was completely captivating and intense due to the main characters back stories and the incidents that put the hero and heroine on notice to not cross a gang leader. The dialogue also had me reading quickly, determined to discover how far Quinn and Luke are willing to go to keep everyone safe? Will they handle things themselves or will they put their trust in their friends? Furthermore, the heroine is resilient, brave and I liked how protective she was of her friends, because they're the only family she has. I also liked how hard-working she was and how she handled everything she and Luke go through, no matter how terrifying things get. While the hero, he's had it tough through the years with losing those he loves and I could understand why he fears interacting with his station mates more than he already does. Because getting to know them as tight as Quinn does means risk if something happens to one of them. However, in saying that, I loved that he let the heroine in and how protective he was of her, especially in the moments when it was palpable that Quinn wasn't coping with what happened to her at the hands of a dangerous gang leader.

Overall, Ms. Kincaid delivers another thrilling romantic suspense in this book where the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance exhilarating and illustrated how much Luke needed Quinn in his life; and the ending had me concerned for one of the main characters when it comes to the danger and their need to do everything in their power to protect those they care about. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up wonderfully, because of how things turned out for the hero and heroine, as the pair working together was the best thing to happen to the two of them; and because of what becomes of their partnership as paramedics. I would recommend In Too Deep by Kimberly Kincaid, if you enjoy romantic suspense, the friends to lovers trope, or books by authors Scarlett Cole, Jennifer Bernard, Kaylea Cross and Sandra Owens.

A perfect blend of romance and suspense!

I wasn't actually expecting the amount of suspense that was here--several scenes literally had me on the edge of my seat throughout; obviously I was too distracted by that fantastic cover (and Luke) to have read all the way down on the synopsis. Or maybe I did read all the way down, but just forgot--again, I'm blaming that cover. The muscles! The blue eyes!

Either way, I'm not complaining.

I loved Luke and Quinn, both of whom live to take care of people while shying away from being taken care of themselves. Quinn is without family of her own so she's made her own among the friends she's found at work; Luke has two remaining family members and they're the only two people he lets himself be close to. In seven months at Station Seventeen, he's built up an armor around himself; he's put in extra shifts and extra work in order to get his paramedic license on top of being a firefighter but has kept himself carefully separate from his coworkers. But of course he's noticed them, especially Quinn...

Ms Kincaid did a great job balancing the romance and the suspense here. Just when I was fully pulled in to the romantic aspects of Quinn and Luke's relationship, she'd do something to bring the danger they were in back to the forefront and have the hairs on the back of my neck standing straight up. The drama at the climax--ack!--was intense. Fortunately the ending made it all more than worth it...

In Too Deep is the third book in the series, but would work fine as a standalone. Prior to this I'd only read one of the series novellas-- Deep Check , the one with the hockey player in it, of course!--and wasn't at all lost. The men and women of Station Seventeen (and Precinct Thirty-Three) make up a fantastic family, and I can't wait to read more from the series soon!

Luke Slater is the newest rookie at Station Seventeen, and no one really knows anything about him. He keeps everything close to the cuff, as his past has taught him if people don't get too close, then it won't hurt when something happens to him. And he has a deep compulsion to take care of everyone, albeit at arms length. But even though he lets no one too close, somehow, Quinn, a paramedic scales those walls easily. Quinn Copeland's station mates are her family, and she would rather die than let anything happen to them, which makes her basically the Mama Bear of the station, as she doesn't trust too many people to keep her family safe. However, when she & Luke are caught up in something dangerous, she has to start trusting him to help keep them safe, even though he's impossible to read, and this dangerous situation is keeping them close to each other, making a strong attraction becoming harder to deny. Plus, there's a cold blooded killer on their trail, which means they must face their fears in order to stay alive. In Too Deep was heart pounding excitement cover to cover with the intense suspense. Like the intensity level of danger around every corner kept the f-bombs dropping plentiful. Quinn was a great, fearless heroine, who would do anything to keep her family safe who I absolutely LOVED, and while Luke took care of everyone, there were times with his tortured yumminess that I wanted to shake him. But when they finally gave in to their sparks, the fiery flames lit up the sky with panty meltin' sexy times. And the cast of secondaries made for serious comedic relief which kept me laughing. Kimberly Kincaid has such a talented & addictive writing style that I'm kicking myself for coming late to the Station Seventeen party, so CANNOT WAIT to read past & future stories in this series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Oh My, What A Rush!

I don’t want to compare any of the Seventeen books because they all are amazing but I have to say, by far, In Too Deep is the best!

I couldn’t read fast enough to satisfy my brain! Luke is a real enigma that is slowly revealed in the most intricate manner. As his personality is revealed he becomes every woman’s ideal man..tall, dark and utterly handsome along with extremely motivated and intelligent. He is also very sensitive to those around him. Quinn is a very dedicated paramedic. Her entire world and motivation is to help people, good or bad. She is extremely good at her job and she is also a very compassionate woman.

These two people experience a horrifying encounter with one of the ugliest and evil monsters that roam our streets. The fact that they could even function afterwards is commendable to their training and their strong characters. This story has spine chilling suspense that makes you feel the immediate fear that the paramedics experience when faced with a life threatening situation. It also makes you feel the anger for the arrogance Ice projects in his egomaniac personality.

I absolutely love how this story evolves and how Luke and Quinn overcome their all consuming fear of death when threatened by this evil, cold-blooded monster.

I also love how Luke takes care of Quinn and how this story easily combines the twists and turns of a hot, consuming attraction into a sexy, toe-curling relationship! I totally love how this story comes together. It’s not immature or cheesy. It’s well told, edgy, and realistic. I loved it!

Wow this was a 5-Alarm read all the way through!
I love this series by Kimberly Kincaid and this book in particular has everything you could possible want in what I would call a hybrid of contemporary romance and romantic suspense!!
Between the sexual charged energy between Luke and Quinn, to the nail biting edge of your seat suspense in the terrifying events that occur in this book it was positively amazing!
I can't say enough about this fantastic storyline that kept me up extremely late because I just simply could not put it down. The smokin' hot sexy times between Luke and Quinn were enough to set my Kindle on fire. I guess if that happened the sexy men from Seventeen would have to come rescue me!
I love Shae, she rocks! All the other secondary characters in this story are just so well written, you can't help but want to know more about them.
Quinn and Luke are simply perfect together. They fought their attraction at first but there was no stopping that fire from burning so hot! They make such excellent partners both on and off the ambo. Luke gives Quinn strength and courage to face her fears after the extremely scary call they go on together. He is there for her and tries to help her deal with her obvious PTSD which she is not willing to admit to at first. She is forced to see a doc for help and eventually opens herself up to that process and finally gets the help she needs. I like Dallas or should I say Dr. McHot. Can he get his own book?
Quinn gives Luke the strength to deal with what happened to them but to finally open up and share his demons from his past with her. By doing so he is finally able to open himself up to having friends too after not really allowing himself to be close to anyone but is sister and grandma for so many years.
I hope there are plenty more books coming out of this firehouse because I am just loving these characters so much and want to get to know them better. The extraordinary comradery and bravery
these men and women show just in this book alone is incredible.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

In Too Deep

Smoking hot and suspenseful read

Veteran Paramedic Quinn and rookie firefighter Luke are go on a call that isn't what it seems and puts everyone in danger. Moving at an incredibly fast pace, keeping me on the edge and written in multiple POV including from the bad guy made this easy to fallow and easily one of my favorites in the series. Each story is a standalone but it’ll make sure we get visits from the previous two books. I really enjoyed the personalities and personal back stories of Quinn and Luke. The one thing I’ll say to any potential reader is that even though these two people have chemistry in the entire book the author doesn’t forget to show the importance of a well written book from page one all the way to the end.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, suspenseful, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks you Netgally for letting me read and review.

Rookie firefighter Luke Slater has also been getting paramedic training, and Quinn Copeland is helping him with the latter. When Quinn has to replace her partner as lead paramedic, she chooses Luke because they’re short-staffed and she knows Luke is up to the task. Quinn has had a crush on Luke ever since she saw him, but he is so closed off, she doesn’t know if he even likes her. Oh but he does. On their first call together, things go terribly wrong: they’re met at the scene by an armed man whose brother was shot by a rival gang, and if he dies, well…

Kimberly Kincaid certainly knows how to write a great suspense! The beginning was so full of tension, I was actually scared. Quinn and Luke are faced with a terrifying situation, which worsens by the minute and Ms. Kincaid made so realistic, that I would never consider becoming a paramedic! There were a few little things that bothered me though. Luke’s keeping to himself was a bit annoying at the beginning, but that worked out fine eventually. On the other hand, I found Quinn exasperating with her pigheadedness in denying that she was suffering from PTSD after her ordeal. I know it’s real, I know it doesn’t disappear at the drop of a hat; I know it’s normal and perfectly understandable, but I found tedious her maintaining that she was “fine” while she was not, and that it went on and on and on. Another thing, that is minor and I’m probably the only person who was distracted by it, but is it really necessary to know everybody’s eyebrow colour when describing said eyebrows’ movements? (golden brown eyebrows? grey blond eyebrows? Why). Also, I felt the first sex scene lasted much too long and disrupted the pacing. I had to try and get myself into the story after that, and I was terribly eager to see how it would all go, the suspense I mean.

All in all, IN TOO DEEP is a very solid suspense story with a complex plot, quite a few twists, obviously steamy sex scenes, and naturally very well written. And Shae is as wonderful as ever!

Station 17 will never be the same.
In this thrill a minute suspense story Kimberly Kincaid shakes up a whole lot more than just shift schedules. When her usual partner suffers an on-the-job injury, Quinn Copeland ends up paired with the rookie she's been lusting after ever since he arrived at the Firehouse. When their first solo call goes drastically wrong, their lives and those of everybody they love will hang in the balance.
In Too Deep alternates between steamy hot romance and ice cold terror, all at a mile a minute pace that will keep you guessing until the very last page.
I loved Quinn and Slater. Their sweet and steamy relationship is a roller coaster ride. The Station 17 crew provides a strong supporting cast and Momma Billie and the brave, quirky teenage Hayley are well developed and totally endearing. Pitted against the warmth and love of the Station 17 family is a villain who is ice cold, self-centred, completely focused and totally, irredeemably evil - a man you will love to hate.
Kincaid's stories never fail to delight and entertain. In Too Deep can proudly take its place along with the rest and I can't wait to find out comes next.

A wild action-packed story from beginning to end. Quinn and Luke are the perfect couple, each having histories that provide instant understanding and attraction without overdoing any relationship reservations. The bad guy was one I loved to hate, always popping up to keep the tension growing and the story moving. That was tempered with the usual camaraderie of the Station 17 crew – which I love. They add a family aspect to all the chaos. And finally, Kimberly Kincaid’s romances wouldn’t be complete without the flaming hot romance perfect for a firehouse. Loved it.

In Too Deep by Kimberly Kincaid
Station Seventeen #3

Quinn Copeland has worked at Station Seventeen for five years when her partner is injured and Luke Slater, rookie fireman and EMT training to be a paramedic, becomes her new partner. The two have been very aware of one another since their first encounter but neither has acted on the chemistry between them…until…they are suddenly thrust into a situation that threatens not only them but all those they hold dear. Both have suffered losses in the past and do not want harm to come to anyone they know and care about in the future. As they deal with the aftershocks of their experience, work with those in charge of an investigation, continue to work together and eventually become more than work only partners they also have a ruthless murderer to contend with as he begins to circle in on them and those they love. This book is action-packed and deals with issues such as suicide, loss, PTSD and assault – it ends on a positive note and does not require the reader to have read previous books in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Barclay Publicity for the ARC – This is my honest review.

There’s no “ice” between Luke and Quinn… HOT, HOT, HOT!!

I really want some home fries… and a hot firefighter/paramedic … after reading Kimberly Kincaid’s 3rd book in the Station Seventeen series, In Too Deep! Kimberly Kincaid’s quippy writing style never fails and her characters are always fun to engage with! It was refreshing that Quinn and Luke never denied their feelings for each other… there was heat from the first chapter and neither of them pretended to each other that they couldn’t be together. The impassioned attraction between the main characters, the camaraderie with all the other residents in Remington that we’ve grown to love, and the suspenseful action that moves the story toward its climactic end (and I don’t just mean the characters’ climaxes)... culminate to another fun-to-read, feel-good book!

This is the first book I’ve read in the Station Seventeen series, and I absolutely loved it!!! The suspense elements had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next. Quinn was a kick butt heroine. She didn’t let anyone intimidate her, and even with her fear of what was going on she did what she felt was best, and came out on top. It was awesome seeing her bring Luke out of his shell, and how their relationship grew. Luke is sexy, broody, and has a bit of a vulnerable side. These two heat up the pages, and I can’t wait to see what Kimberly Kincaid has in store for us next!! This is definitely a must read!!

WOW!! I think my heart rate needs to come back to normal after such an emotional journey. I loved steamy chemistry between Luke and Quinn and the nail biting suspense was perfect! I also enjoyed learning a little more about Quinn and Luke's backgrounds which were heartbreaking and affirming. If they would let me, I would give this story 10 stars because that is what it deserves!

Luke's philosophy is to defer when someone will ask him a question that he doesn't want to answer. It's always worked well for him until Quinn and him are kidnapped. Then it's harder to keep things from Quinn than he thought it would be. Where as Quinn has a harder time trusting and sharing. Which makes it even more sweeter when she finally does open up to him.
In too Deep, kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning until the very end.
