About the author

Adrian O’Donnell left home at 16 years old to join the army in the late 70s serving in the Queens Regiment in various countries around the world. A further challenge called when he was 24 years old and he joined Her Majesty’s Prison Service serving in some of the most difficult prisons in the UK. Retiring in 2016 after 32 years service, he took the opportunity to work in the Middle East advising overseas governments in security procedures. He is married to Jo and presently living in a small village in SW France. They have a large family of five sons and four grandchildren. High Risk is the first of a series of novels based on Adie’s real life experiences.

Thrilling sequel to 'High Risk'. A bit less fast paced, but more in-depth look in to the characters. Less pace, but every page keeps you on the edge of your seat. Even in the more peaceful parts you wonder if hell could've broken lose one page ahead.. excited to read the third part.

Brilliant book. The second in a series. They are set in and around prison life from the perspective of a prison officer. It both brutal and captivating. Once you start, you can’t put it down.

Great read, fabulous storyline on both book 1, and 2, . And Martin Cale. 😊
On to book 3, can’t wait.
