Tru Blanchard has been trying to get back on her feet but for every step forward she takes a step back. She works hard but can't seem to get ahead. Noah Anders notices Tru instantly and knows she is going to be his, the problem is Tru is gun shy and not sure she wants to take a chance on Noah. Noah though is not going to let her get away when she runs and he is going to do everything possible to protect her, can Tru find her happily ever after or is she bound to get burned?
This was fun but I think I needed to go back and read in order. A bit rushed in spots but overall entertaining.

The Viking and the Maid
Noah Anders has joined the Steel Patriots, this hunky, socially awkward Nordic God is all man. After a similar incident to what happened to Ghost and the team, he was forced to retire from SOG Special Forces, Sweden. Now he has a chance at being part of a brotherhood again. And maybe a chance at forever with the woman of his dreams. Continuing with the COG plotline from the preceding book and the hunt for Thomas Xi. Ace discovers Suzette's friend, beautiful, smart Tru Blanchard is in more trouble than she realizes. Noah has to keep her alive and convince her that he could be the Viking of her deepest fantasies. Failure is not an option, when you find the one.
I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure with the Steel Patriots MC. More amazing characters, more tension, more love. What's not to like.

I really do like this couple
This is a great couple. Noah is this fierce on the outside softy on the inside Viking- literally-a very stoic Swedish Special forces. Tru is a nice person. No other way to put it, she’s good. Works hard, has suffered greatly in her young life. The aspects between the couple are the best part of the story. The parts of the story dealing with Thomas Xi, evil bad guy were slow, clunky. Sometimes it would really pick up- tru’s info delivery to the board was clear and succinct. Many of the team meetings really dragged- I mean meetings? You know what I mean? They are all boring in general no one wants to actually sit through them. Skim through that stuff you’ll be alright.

Noah was so awkward with Tru at the start and really took a long time to win her over and convince her he wasn't weird, it was kinda great. It was a good thing that Tru went with Noah back to the Steel Patriots clubhouse, as her life was quickly spinning out of control all due to one stupid man that already screwed her over and now continues to do so from the grave. It was crazy what they all found out Tru was "left" and then what they all learned as they investigated more.
The mission at the end was fun, loved seeing the guys do their thing and how they were received by those still active.
Things turned out great for Noah and Tru, they found their HEA, but with how this one ended, I'm worried about someone else now. Good thing the next book is all ready to go for me.

Great!
I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty great book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of compassion, kindness, Bing truthful, and finding your true love. I really enjoyed Tru and Noah's story I think they were a very different couple but they made it work. True she'd showed great courage after she started believing in herself again. And Noah finally started to understand the camaraderie of his brothers. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.

Sweet love story with a twist
First of all, this is a great book in this amazing series. I love all of the Steel Patriot family. But, I have to admit that Noah has a piece of my heart. I loved the character. His big heart and love for Tru is do beautiful. The author has created a great plot and storyline that depicts corruption and greed and the horrible things that people do to gain power. I couldn't put the book down.

Wow another amazing story and I love how Noah was with Tru and realized that he needed to be less caveman and more patient and understanding. Really hated what she endured while in college, but very glad that the evil bastard got what he deserved. So truly sad that these innocent children all suffered from cancer because they truly evil and greedy monsters. The adore Tristan and looking forward to reading his story. Happy reading.

Hot!
Here again we find the ladies relating to another how they came to be with the Steel Patriots. I found that was good as it was hard to remember how the gals got to each guy. And Noah, omg! There is a Viking who is not only protective but romantic and caring as all get out. I loved it and the action keeps going. Can hardly wait to read Tristan 's story.

Viking
Noah a hero like his brothers but being all alone most of his life he needed to loosen up. Then Tru walked into his life. He knew like the rest of his brothers she was the one. Tru story was unbelievably sad but she is a strong survivor. Her and Noah were meant for each other.

Love this series
So much excitement . This series is one of my favorites. Mary Kennedy is a brilliant story teller. The danger,excitement and the great HEA make for perfect books. Can't wait for the next in this series.

This offering was refreshing and well written, there wasn't a bunch of unnecessary child abuse, not a lot of graphic sexual abuse and surprise, surprise it was still a great story and a good read.

Wow
Wow this story was very emotional for me, every time Noah was visited by someone who had passed I couldn't stop crying lol I don't know why but those scenes just brought all sorts of emotion out on me. I really really good read.

I really enjoyed this addition to the series. Noah’s past gave him a sweet vulnerable side but yet confident and strong. I think Tru was a perfect fit for him.
