2nd book in this series and I continue to enjoy. Gabe Devlin, Priest with a military background ends up in another mystery involving murder and other crimes. There are special forces at play that no one can understand. It's a quick read, but holds my interest and if I did not have to go work, I would finish in one sitting. Some characters are predictable, but there are still some twists and turns I do not always see coming. Having lots of fun with this series and reading book 3. I bought all four on an Amazon amazing deal whim, glad I did. It's turning out to be a good summer read.

Man’s Salvation

I really enjoyed this book, it’s full of everything, murder, mystery, suspense and misdirection because everything is not what it appears to be.
Many only criticism is that whoever did the proof reading didn’t do their job properly because there are a few sentences that contradict each other, you’ll understand what I mean by this when you read the book. Happy reading.

I am enjoying this series - even if it is along the same lines as Jack Reacher/Jack Widow et al. However it is a vigilante with a spirituality about him. A priest who has lost his way, helping others as he goes along with a mysterious spiritual thread running through. The storyline was good with a few twists.

My only gripe is the proof reading/editing. Some big errors including the police officers late husbands name changing from Greg to Mike.

A brilliant book

Gabe Devlin is a priest with some special skills which he picked up before becoming a priest. His travels take him to a small town where parties are held for the rich and drugs are traded for secrets. Gabe has a bit of a supernatural thing also going on. I couldn't out this book down it was that good.

very interesting.

I am about to start book three of this series. I have really enjoyed the stories although much of it is not very believable.
The stories are very interesting and I would recommend the books to any adult who enjoys a good story.

Father Devlin is interesting

Devlin makes the books worthy of the read. More of him and less of the thrills would be even more satisfying for me. It's the quiet moments between him and other characters that pack the punch. Please keep them coming Mr Carver.

Good series

This series gets better and better, I like gabe, and the people he meets. I also like the extra 'edge' he has. Will definitely read another.

Book two as brilliant as the first

Compulsive reading whilst giving the reader an insight into this shamefully distorted world we have created for ourselves. Right book three next.

The Salvation Man

This is a novella concerning a troubled priest who solves deadly crimes. It is fast paced and has considerable action. I enjoyed the suspense and happy ending.

Good, not great

The first book was fantastic. This one was really boring in parts, but had good story sprinkled in. Won’t give up on this series yet. I hope the next one is better.

Book Two of the series builds upon aspects of the first. A detective/priest weeding out crimes with an investigator’s skill set merged with spiritualism.

Another gripping read

You feel like you are in the story right there as one of the characters or maybe an observer. A brilliant read indeed.

Devlin

Brilliant read, seriously getting to like Devlin, terrific character, a fella you want on your side, not a man you want to mess with

Not as good as the 1st

Having read the first novel, I thought I would give this one a bash.
The story seemed more rushed and conclusions to story arcs happened relatively quickly in comparison to the first. Still a easy read that does make you want to read “one more chapter”.
