NOTHING STAYS BURIED FOREVER

Alex Queen is many things. A single mother. A struggling freelance network engineer. Behind on her rent.

She is also a very angry woman.

For years now, that anger has been pushed down, compressed into little boxes she stores inside herself, as she struggles to make ends meet for her and her young son.

But when a desperate job brings Alex into contact with an ancient evil, Alex will discover that the shadowy magics of the world have a way of opening the boxes we all try to keep shut, emotions even darker than anger, more powerful than rage.

With her back against the wall, Alex Queen is about to discover just what strength she carries within her blood. A power that may be strong enough to save her, or destroy everything she holds most dear.

A gripping short story that is full of twists, turns and things not appearing as they seem. A very mysterious and thrilling tale unfolds here. The story is truly page turning and I enjoyed it immensely. The combination of characters and plot in this short story kept me on the edge of my seat. Very gripping and interesting read. Definitely some of the best I've read.
