This book is the written by one of my favorite politician, writer and political analyst. The murder of 6 young boys in Chaurjahari Rukum due to caste based discrimination led me into the mental stress for so long. Then I got to know about the writer of this book, who is Mr. Bishwo Bhakta Dulal, famously known as Aahuti. He was previously involved in the CPN Maoist Party but after the alliance of CPN Maoist and CPN UML, he left the CPN Maoist Party and started his own Scientific Socialist Communist Party of Nepal. He is also a good writer and the Political Analyst. He articles and interviews can be easily available in national and international news portal.

The book "Jaat Barta" deals from the origin of caste in Nepal to present condition about how the caste and its effect is prevailing in Nepal. The book is divided into 26 chapters. The first section of the book deal with the origin of caste system in Nepal as well as in the South Asia. He has also clearly described how the caste system has been directly affecting the dalits and minor castes in Nepal. He has also stated that Caste based discrimination is prevailing in between upper caste and lower caste, but also with the people from the same caste. The caste based discrimination is shown as the major problem of the nation building. The middle section of the book deals how the present condition of casteist society is working. The writer has described the major topics like Dalit Movement in Nepal, Reservation or Quota for the minorities, Religion and Change in Religion to avoid the caste discrimination, Intercaste Love and Marriage, Changing surname and jobs, Constitution of Nepal and existing rules for dalits welfare, Role of NGOs and INGOs, Dalit Literature etc. The last part of the book deals with the planning for ending caste based system in Nepal.

The book is enriched with a lots of historical evidences as well as recent scenario. So I request every one who have serious desire to end the caste based discrimination in Nepal.
