We have Catrina Lennox who has a history with Niall MacHendrie, Laird of Dundaire. They met and fell I love in London! Catrina without a reason broke her engagement and fled to the Highlands!
Niall has his own secrets and tragedies in the 2 years they parted!
He lost his brother Robbie and has been trying to fulfill his dying wish! This takes him to Rose Cottage where he encounters Catrina and more secrets!
If these two would talk more another encounter with their mutual nemesis would not had Niall shot!
This was a quick steamy read of revenge and second chances! Bravo and well done! This is a part of the Christmas Scandals Anthology!

Part of anthology book Have Yourself a Merry Little Secret.

Catrina is determined to catch highwayman The Christmas Rebel, who seduced and left her late sister with a child and many secrets.

Niall is the Laird of Dundaire is devastated by his brother's death - and his deathbed confession. Charged with making things right, he travels to Rose Cottage, but before he can make amends, he is accosted by Catrina dressed as a highwayman.

An enjoyable story of secrets and love.

What a delightful story, I enjoyed reading how the author used the Scottish broug in the speech of the characters. Is there another story of Moria and Robbie? Who are they Cat and Niall? What an interesting twist that is brought out at the end.

Confusing first chapter makes little sense.

So many spelling/grammar errors I have up marking them all. Example below:

Another story in this collection where the prologue was too long. I generally liked this story and Niall's character but also had issues with it. Why did neither of them EVER reach out to the other before this reunion? For people supposedly so much in love it made no sense. There were some other issues such as the barn scene (sorry if it's as cold as the author described, no way would two people get completely naked). But it was still one of the better stories in the collection.

Found some of the plot a little confusing and all of the characters needed better communication skills but overall I enjoyed the story.
