This was a fantastic addition to this series. It's up there in the top books that I've read from the individual color team books. Zane really amped up his Zaneness in this book and I was here for it. He just gets better and better with every story.
Evette and Gabe had some fiery hot chemistry. And Gabe had some of the best "explanations" aka Alpha speak of any of the guys.

I read. I squealed. I cried. I swoon. The end.
Seriously though, I would love to sneak a peek into Riley Edwards brains and poke around, I'm just in awe that time and time again, this illustrious author never fail to bring her best works to the table. Gabe is a complicated character with a truly heartbreaking backstory. His horrendous childhood experience shaped him into the man he is today. I said it time and time again that Riley Edwards creates the best tortured Heroes. She is also a whizz at pairing them with the perfect heroine. Here we have Evette who is loyal to fault and one who pushes Gabe's buttons. I love them together and boy, did Riley Edwards put them through the wringer (you have to read the book to find out more).
One of the major reasons why I LOVE this book is .... Zane! I have my Zane and spades in this book. How I love Zane and his sarcastic self. He dominates every scene that he's in it. So thank you Riley Edwards for that!
Now, I'm counting down to the next book in this series and I just know this one will be a doozy.

Gabe and Evette have an instant connection when she comes to Z Corp for help. Evette researchs information she should not and now someone is trying to kill her. Special Forces books often follow the same type of pattern but Riley changes it up a bit her. Evette is strong and will do anything to keep Gabe safe. This book picked up some of Kyle story but can easily be read as a standalone. Zane is his usually sarcastic self leading to humor throughout.

I say this alot but I will say it again, Riley cannot write a bad book. Gabe and Evette is 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hot. The perfect balance of intensity, drama, love and soul searching you can't go wrong with. Top it off with some good humor and Zane Lewis and you won't put this one down till you are done. Wonderful addition to the Blue Team series!

Brava! Riley Edwards for creating yet another stellar addition to the Blue Team series. This book lacks nothing. It has drama, humor, hard hitting action, edge of your seat suspense, romance and steaminess. You may even get a bit teary eyed. Evette London is inquisitive, tenacious, intelligent, feisty and courageous.Gabe Harris is all alpha with a take no prisoners attitude when it comes to those he's protecting but he's still trying to outrun and compensate for a past that haunts him. Zane is ever present in all his sarcastic glory.
The old saying "curiosity killed the cat" certainly applies to Evette. She's been digging into people and places she shouldn't have and now someone is trying to kill her. She turns to Z Corps for help. It becomes an all out team effort to figure out the who and why of the danger. Her attraction to Gabe is immediate as is his. But he tries unsuccessfully to keep her at arm's length. When he does give in it comes with specific conditions. Evette agrees knowing her heart may be on the line at the end of their road but she's betting that the journey will have been worth it.

This story is edgy, full of suspense, danger and arousing sexual excitement from beginning to end. Gabe Harris is this larger then life alpha hero who has no desire to have a relationship and family due to the demons he faced growing up which effects him still. Gabe has always been frugal as he invested wisely all his life and has become very wealthy, in doing so buys everything he desires to make up for the struggles he and his mother had to endure. Loved the wit and camaraderie between Gabe, Zane and his Z Corp team with his bold convection to protect Evette. When Zane tries to push Gabe to admit his feelings for Evette things will get heated when he learns the part Zane wants Evette to play. Gabe and Zane continue to argue until strong willed Evette butts heads with Zane as she stands by Gabe's side. Now information is shared and new facts are being gathered regarding the corrupt government officials, rebel forces and Abrams part in all of this chaos. 5++++ amazing stars for this fabulous addition to series. Gabe has it all ~ sizzling intensity, pulse-pounding action, edge-of-your-seat suspense, serious attitude (in the best way), major laughs, some teary-eyed sweetness, overload of alpha yumminess, and hot-flashing chemistry!!!
Well-meaning actions resulting in deadly consequences is something that Evette London finds out the hard way when she goes poking around the dark web trying to find information related to her friend, Kalee’s, capture and return from the dead. Evette was an investigative reporter and she was big on the who, what, when, where, and why of it all; especially when it came at the expense of her friends and justice being served. She could not turn off her inquisitiveness and needed answers so she went digging and got way more than she bargained for. She wanted to someone to pay and that someone was going to be her if she could not get help. Being that she accidentally put a target on her back along with a few other friends, including Anaya who was with Kyle in Maryland, she makes a cross country dash from her apartment in California to land on the doorstep of Z Corps seeking help from Kyle and his team. Information is shared, explanations provided, assignments given and they’re off to unravel the mystery that Evette stepped in and protect her from further danger with Gabe Harris front and center as her protector. From the insta-connection these two shared it’s gonna be a heck of a ride and all sorts of combustible.
I love all the Z Corps characters and I really enjoyed getting to know Gabe and Evette. He is most definitely the definition of a hero and his past is overwhelmingly sad. Though his past does not define him, it had a hand in shaping certain actions and feelings that he has a hard time resolving. Gabe has to take a long, hard look but when he finally gets himself sorted with the help of Zane and his other teammates, it’s amazing to see. I liked how he and Evette interacted and how he treated her, precious but not fragile, acknowledged her strengths and relied on and trusted her completely when it mattered most. Evette, I thought was awesome from the beginning. Yeah, she messed up being nosy and not letting something go but she cared so deeply for her friend and wanted to see someone pay that she got herself in too deep. She was smart, levelheaded, thought things through and was determined to not back down no matter the cost. I absolutely loved when she went head-to-head with Zane and I loved their interactions and conversations at the end; makes me like Zane even more. This girl has some serious grit and it was awesome to watch her shine. The entire book was fabulous from beginning to end and the ending itself was perfect for these two.
Gabe can be read as a standalone but for richer reading experience, I recommend starting with Owen’s book, the 1st in the Blue Team Series. All the guys are introduced and you can become more familiar with the backgrounds and setting. The other women (Evette’s friends), two are from Susan Stoker’s Seal of Protection: Legacy series. Since Edwards’ Blue Team series is written in Stoker’s Special Forces: Operation Alpha World with cross-over characters, you can find their stories in Securing Kalee – book 6, (Phantom and Kalee) and Securing Piper – book 7 (Ace and Piper), and finally Anaya and Kyle can be found in Edwards’ Gold Team series – Kyle, book 3.

Oh my I'm in love and I haven't got past chapter 1. Z Corps, red team people, gold team people, heroines, so exciting.
I absolutely love Riley's stories that takes me to dangerous destinations and/or situations.
I just smiled and smiled as the h delved in to what I know is Susan Stokers world, then Riley just so expertly meshed it all together and away I went.
Although this is standalone, I was glad I knew the stories of the other characters mentioned. Especially when crazy funny innuendos started flying from previous stories.
From the start the chemistry between H and h is off the charts, and is an absolute comical scream as they try to keep it tempered as I learn of the military scenario. Yvette is plucky, strong and smart and my admiration for her grew as the story unfolded.
I met Gabe in Owen's story and he seemed a serious dude, but here, he turns out to be a witty character with a terribly haunted past.
And then came the romantic steam..shut the front door!!! And what scenes they were.
The bond that Riley lays out between the band of brothers is emotional, endearing, loyal, and their blood for eachother runs true.
The suspense builds as each piece of the puzzle is slowly put together by the alphas. And what a gripping gut wrenching situation it is, my heart picking up speed as the antagonists poked holes where they could find them, everything was laced with emotion.
Z was just as obnoxiously gorgeous as ever and I had to laugh out loud, despite the dire situation. The satire and dry wit throughout this book was a hoot. Riley's writing was and is, absolute brilliance.
Family always plays a strong role in Ms Edwards novels and this one doesn't disappoint. On a side note.
While Riley's "Next Generation " and "Triple Canopy " series stayed stateside and had suspense and action, both series delved into the persona and relationships of characters in each novel, with, in my opinion, the 707 team being the equivalent of one man Zane Lewis.
This book stays close to mission status like the red and gold teams and I just enjoyed listening to Riley's clever writing in regards to technical military missions and skills .
And now, to Sebastian York and Janine Granda. Pure perfection. If a gal has to listen then this is as close to ultimate as you can get.

This is book 2 in the Blue Team series and while it could be read as a stand alone, I recommend reading the previous books before reading this one. This book builds on not only the previous book but it also builds on Kyle's book in the Gold Series and some of the books in Susan Stoker's series! Evette London knew better than to poke around on the dark web. But when her friend Kalee came home from Timor Leste after being presumed dead, she couldn't let it go. She had to know who was behind what happened to her friend's and why it happened. But when she comes across something that no one wants known, now someone wants her out of the picture. So she runs to the person she thinks can help her. And when she meet's Gabe, she knows her world has changed again. Gabe always knew he wasn't the forever kind of guy. But when he met Evette, something in his brain took a hiatus. From the minute she showed up at Z-corps and announced someone was trying to kill her, he knew it was his mission to keep her safe. And when he learned her reason's why, it just made him like her even more. Now he has to keep her safe, even from herself.
I absolutely loved this one!! I loved how it tied into not only Riley's previous books but also into Susan's series! Evette is exactly the type of heroine that I love! She has a passion for justice, especially for the people she cares about. But she also has a brain and isn't afraid to use it. Gabe comes across as this man who can only be on the teams and no relationships, never realizing that the love of a good woman would make him better. Gabe pretty much has everything - the end! Time after time Riley Edwards blows me away with her incredible characters and gripping stories, you keep thinking she can't better the last one then she simply knocks it out of the park yet again. I love all things Z Corps and I love, love, love Gabe, it is an absolutely brilliant addition to the Blue Team Series. There is gripping action and suspense, plenty of heat, loads of humour, teary moments a good dose of angst and best of all a smart, overthinking, gritty, gorgeous heroine and the absolute epitome of a hero who have an instant electric connection. Oh, and the fabulous bonus there is so much Zane/Z in this book, it made me so happy.
Investigative journalist Evette London doesn't just want justice for her friends Kalee and Anaya after all they have suffered she wants revenge but her digging has put a target on her back and also, she fears those of her friends. This lands her on the doorstep of Z Corps in Maryland who do what they are genetically programmed to do and sweep her up into their protection. Reading, almost watching Gage and Evette's relationship evolve was magic, their connection was instant and living through their ups and downs was quite heart stopping at times, when danger strikes each must find the strength to support the other when they need it most. The man Gabe is and the actions he takes are deeply coloured by a heart-breaking past, he acknowledges it and doesn't let it completely define him but it takes his team mates and Z with their own brand of counselling to help him finally clear his head. Evette is an information junkie, she processes it, analyses it and over thinks it, she is also brave, bold, determined and loyal. Gabe wants to give Evette everything, for Evette Gabe is everything and the two of them are one of the best couples Riley has ever produced.
I enjoyed Gage from start to finish, it's a brilliantly written story with all the elements I love, plus Z Corps feature quite heavily (bonus) with all their usual banter but the complete stars are Gabe and Evette who are simply brilliant!

The man Gabe is and the actions he takes are deeply coloured by a heart-breaking past, he acknowledges it and doesn't let it completely define him but it takes his team mates and Z with their own brand of counselling to help him finally clear his head. Evette is an information junkie, she processes it, analyses it and over thinks it, she is also brave, bold, determined and loyal. Gabe wants to give Evette everything, for Evette Gabe is everything and the two of them are one of the best couples Riley has ever produced.
I enjoyed Gage from start to finish, it's a brilliantly written story with all the elements I love, plus Z Corps feature quite heavily (bonus) with all their usual banter but the complete stars are Gabe and Evette who are simply brilliant!

She was investigating the situation in Timor-Leste and her friends kidnapping, out for revenge and justice but what she finds she can’t handle on her own and gets the men of Z Corps involved. Gabe and Evette
This book was unexpectedly amazing. I have loved every book I’ve read by Riley Edwards, but I have never laughed more than I did with this book. I shouldn’t have been surprised since Gabe is supposed to be the good of the group, but what did surprise me was the humor coming from Zane. Zane was a big part of this book. He’d sat on the sidelines through the Gold Team series but his return in this book was epic. His character has changed so much over the interconnected series and I love that he fits into the plot of every book.
Evette might go down as my favorite heroine in a Riley Edwards book. I know I’ve said it before but her character was absolutely amazing. She was funny and smart and loyal and she loved Gabe with a ferocity that rivaled the men of Z Corps.
Gabe and Evette have an instant connection that cannot be denied. Gabe tries to fight it because he doesn’t believe he wants permanent, or the responsibility of permanent, but Cooper and Zane really put things into perspective for him.
The way Cooper was introduced into this series and this team was perfect. His budding relationship with Gabe was fun to read and his antics in getting Gabe and Evette to open up to each other brought another element of lightness to this book.
The topic of homelessness and hunger was touched upon in this book. And it was done perfectly. You never know what a big, strong, alpha male is hiding beneath the surface, and Gabe’s backstory proved that.

Extraordinary!
Sebastian York and Janine Granda bravo to you both for this performance and Riley this has become my favorite book, a true Romantic Suspense story!
Meet Evette London, a reporter for a Non-Partisan Media Group called “The Wire". Her curious nature is what makes her a good reporter, but it is also what gets her in deep trouble. She sets out to find out what happened to her friend who was captured by rebel forces and In doing so someone sets out to kill her.
She reaches out to her friend Anaya's husband and his Alpha Z Corp Special Forces team for help.
That is how she meets Gabe to who feels an automatic pull towards Evette. At first, they both fight their attraction towards one another but Zane, Gabe' friend and boss intercedes to get Gabe to admit his feelings. Once they finally give in the heat level turns way up to Inferno magnitude and they both fall hard and deeply in love.
This book is well written and narrated I had a hard time putting it down! Loved it!

I love this series and how each new team adds so much to the world that the author has built, but listening to them on audio just adds another level to these stories and brings on the feels!
This book has everything, and by that I don’t just mean a hot as heck hero whose bossy side made me sit up and pay attention!, a plucky heroine who not only knows her own mind but is strong enough to save herself, a storyline that makes you gasp and sigh in equal measures, but also more crossovers into Susan Stokers world which just make me squeak in excitement. The depth that all this was portrayed in by the narrators was just phenomenal. Sebastian York really drove home the pain Gabe felt about his past and Janine Granda was wonderful as Evette, her voice was perfect as this heroic person who was more than capable and didn’t let fear hold her back.
I got Gabe, and as more of his past was uncovered I felt his pain and understood his reluctance and difficulties. So I loved Evette even more that she could not only see through this hard shell but that she was willing to work to give him everything, even if it meant she might get broken along the way.
Zane in this book brings not only his usual humorous sarcastic self but also a softness that I don’t think I have seen since his own story 🥰
All the feels and steam for days make this one heck of a read and we are only 2 books in 😆

Do you know what happiness is? For me? It’s having one of your favorite authors release 2 books within weeks of each other. Now in my last review for this author, I likened her writing to a “literary masterpiece”. Since I didn’t get any “are you crazy” responses to my review, I’m going with y’all agree with me. Now I’m sticking with that whole literary genius/masterpiece theme for this review also. Let me explain why…

Boy, this book had me on the edge of my seat. It's been a while since I've picked up a Riley Edwards book and all of the adrenaline from reading one of her books was back. Gabe is action-packed from the moment you pick up the book and man did Gabe and Evette have me ducking myself from all the electric sparks flying between these two.
Evette London finds herself in trouble and there is only one place she knows that can help her. So when she flys across the country to talk with Kyle, her best friend's husband, she didn't expect to be thrown into the middle of an entire team ready to take charge and protect her. And when her eyes lock with a certain gorgeous dark-haired, built, ex NavySEAL - she all of a sudden had this calm that she most definitely should not be feeling.
Gabe Harris can't explain what's happening, but suddenly he has this extreme need to keep Evette safe. There's this pull that he's never had before and he's going to make it his mission that not one hair is hurt on her head as long as he is with her.

Gage and Evette - she rescues him right back
This is the second book in the Blue Team series and it has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, dangerous heart stopping action, painful pasts, strong friendships, and quite a few chuckles, all set against the backdrop of the Z Corps Agency. Evette comes crashing into Gabe’s life in the lobby of Z Corps. She is on the run from someone trying to kill her because she dug too deep researching a story so she ran to her friend’s husband who works at Z Corps. From the first sentence, the excitement and danger does not let up for the rest of the book except for the loving moments between Gabe and Evette that are beautifully woven into the story. Gabe, like all of the alpha males at Z Corps fights his HEA with everything he has but once he embraces it it’s a beautiful thing. I especially loved that Evette was not a damsel in distress, she was just as fierce as Gabe which made them a phenomenal team during the dangerous moments. Gabe and Evette’s love story has all the feels - fear, strong friendship, redemption, tears, and so much all encompassing, nurturing, protective love. With Gabe, Riley Edwards once again proves she’s fantastic at crafting a beautifully paced, exciting military romance. I am excited to hear what happens next for the members of Blue Team.

Gabe is the second audiobook in Riley Edwards’ fantastic Blue Team series. I am quickly falling for the men of Blue Team. These protective, swoonworthy men have captured my heart. And oh my gosh, the banter! I swear, I’d listen to this series for the banter alone! When you throw in the captivating romance, steamy love scenes, and heart-pounding action, you’ve got yourself one fantastic series! This story centers around Gabe and Evette, who are sparking from the first time their eyes meet. She needs his protection, and he’s more than happy to give it. Turns out he wants to give her much more than that, provided he can keep her alive long enough for them both to give in to the obvious love growing between them. Both the characters and the plot are beyond compelling, and you just can’t help but get drawn into this phenomenal story.
The narration is in a league of its own with the talented voices of Sebastian York and Janine Granda at the helm. Sebastian York’s signature sexy gravel is perfect for Gabe. He draws you in with that voice of his and keeps you with the unparalleled emotion and passion he brings to the character. 💙Every time I don't think Riley Edwards can outdo herself, she does. But that is also the mark of an artist who is growing in her craft. Well, she nailed it with Gabe. First, let's just get this out of the way, I LOVE THE RED TEAM, and this book overflowed with Red Team goodness, Zane's dimples, the banter between Zane and everyone, and Zane just being Zane. There were crossovers with a couple of Susan Stoker series, we got to see Gold Team members, and even more, tie-ins that just made this book one that kept me entertained, enthralled, and on the edge of my seat with the suspense.
There was so much in this book, and I kept hoping it wouldn't end because I liked everything about it. You cannot go wrong reading a Riley Edwards book. You can read Gabe now, enjoy the ever-loving heck out of it, get enchanted by the Red and Gold teams. Go ahead, then you will have to read those series, and then you will be ready to read all the rest of Riley's catalog. It's all that good if you love those strong alpha types, who will protect at all cost, and females who aren't afraid to speak their mind and can be tough too. Evette was just looking into what happened to her friends and doesn't mean to bring trouble to anyone's door but someone is out to kill her. She knows that Anaya's husband Kyle works.for Z corps and can protect her or at least help her figure out what is going on. Gabe is awestruck with Evette the first time he lays eyes on her when she comes to Z Corps in search of Kyle for help. Gabe is faced with many things in his feelings for how he grew up and in his need to be in control to protect those around him that Evette gives him a run for his money. All the men of Z Corps are alphas to the core. The blue team is no different from the Red or Gold teams we have already met. The running butt and meat jokes that continue in this book from Natasha and Owens book. I love this universe. Wow this book. This may be Gabes book, but I just can't get over how much Zane is my hero. He's such an alpha in that he has to be the know it all in charge guy but man when you see the man underneath in how he cares for those around him.
Gabe and Evette must learn to work together and trust their feelings for each other and face the ultimate challenge when they are kidnapped.

Another great read by Riley Edwards. I don't know how she does it but every one of her books grabs you from page 1.
Her characters always show us as readers their inner thoughts and emotions.
When Gabe and Evette first meet there is something between them but Evette is at ZCorps to ask for help. And even though Gabe feels a connection immediately, he has major issues dated back to his childhood and doesn't do "relationships".
Evette; a reporter with an inquisitive nature and she decided to research the kidnapping of one of her best friends Kaylee and find out who is responsible behind it and finds herself needing help as someone is trying to kill her.
This is a part of Susan Stoker's world and characters from some of her books as well as others from Riley's books are brought in as Gabe and Evette try and find out who is after her.
I don't want to give to much away, but just know this is a fantastic read, I couldn't even put it down and read it from start to finish in one day.

OMG! Kyle was another fantastic addition to Riley Edwards Blue Team series. I love reading a good series involving action, drama and romantic suspense and Kyle was the perfect way to spend my day reading. We met our female lead Evette in Kyle's story because her best friend became the object of his affection. Now she is coming to her friends for help because she has gotten herself in over her head on a story that she has been investigating. One of the first people that she meets is Gabe and they have an instant connection much to both of their surprise. Gabe has lots of issues and the last thing that he has ever planned for is meeting a woman that he could see as "the one". Well fate has plans and they are both along for the ride of their lives! If you haven't read any of the series before I suggest going back to the beginning, The Red Team then move on to the Gold team and then you come to the Blue team. Even though each book stands alone with one couple there are so many interconnected characters that you will get the most out of the series that way. Gabe is a hot, angsty, page turner that was told from dual POV and should not be missed!

I don’t think that I can put on paper the emotions that this story provoked!
A man who is so vulnerable and with a past that makes your hear cry… he hides behind his bravado and has walls set up a mile high. Evette is the woman who breaks those walls and Gabe slowly but surely is shown that the past didn’t define him, but makes him the person is today
A woman who stands tall in all the adversity thrown at her.. a woman who won’t back down, Evette is a woman who portrays strength determination and courage in droves! She doesn’t back down and fights for the truth in the only way she knows. She is a badass and doesn’t even know!!
There are so many scenes in this story that break you, have you laughing out loud and wanting it to never end.
A story of finding truth, protecting those who can’t, sticking up for those you love and of course getting back at the bad guys! I don’t think that I can put on paper the emotions that this story provoked!
A man who is so vulnerable and with a past that makes your hear cry… he hides behind his bravado and has walls set up a mile high. Evette is the woman who breaks those walls and Gabe slowly but surely is shown that the past didn’t define him, but makes him the person is today
A woman who stands tall in all the adversity thrown at her.. a woman who won’t back down, Evette is a woman who portrays strength determination and courage in droves! She doesn’t back down and fights for the truth in the only way she knows. She is a badass and doesn’t even know!!
There are so many scenes in this story that break you, have you laughing out loud and wanting it to never end.
A story of finding truth, protecting those who can’t, sticking up for those you love and of course getting back at the bad guys! But also much more than that..it’s about family in which ever way that comes, it’s seeing Zane for whom he truly is…and it’s seeing old characters come back to life that gave you so enthralled.

I can’t say enough good things about this book! Gabe is convinced a relationship isn’t in his future after the way he was raised. But the minute Evette walks in he is drawn to her in a way he can’t deny. Evette can’t get past the people who hurt her friends, especially what Kaylee went through, won’t have to pay for what they’ve done. As an investigative reporter she starts digging for answers. When she realizes she is in danger, but her friends might be as well, she ignores her fear of flying and jumps on a plane to get to Anaya and Kyle and warn them. As things start to unfold, it’s up to Gabe to protect Evette. There is so much drama and suspense that you’ll be on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between Gabe and Evette is explosive. You see all the favorites from the Teams but also some Susan Stoker characters as well. Despite Zane being a serious alpha you also see the other side of him that we all love. The one who cares so deeply for his teams and can see what they can’t or maybe just aren’t ready to admit. Another wonderful addition to this series!

Sebastian York and Janine Granda did an amazing job on this book!! This gritty, suspenseful story was the perfect book in this series!
Evette was a reporter who loved getting down to the bottom of things. She wanted to always tell stories that had meaning but also told the truth. Evette's friends were taken and she wanted to get to the bottom of what happened but by doing this she became the target. Knowing she only had a few people to count on, she contacted the team for help or did she need them to be on the sidelines while she did what she wanted to do?
Gabe is an alpha who gets what he wants and the pull between the two of them. They both knew what needed to be done and they fought what was meant to be. Gabe knew what could happen and what it may mean to both him and Evette. Gabe and Evettte was in the for so many things that they never saw coming! Could they beat the odds? Will they survive what's coming?
This is a must read/listen to story that makes this series better! I can't wait for the next book in this series, Myles!!

I love this series and how each new team adds so much to the world that the author has built.
This book has everything, and by that I don’t just mean a hot as heck hero whose bossy side made me sit up and pay attention!, a plucky heroine who not only knows her own mind but is strong enough to save herself, a storyline that makes you gasp and sigh in equal measures, but also more crossovers into Susan Stokers world which just make me squeak in excitement.
I got Gabe, and as more of his past was uncovered I felt his pain and understood his reluctance and difficulties. So I loved Evette even more that she could not only see through this hard shell but that she was willing to work to give him everything, even if it meant she might get broken along the way.
Zane in this book brings not only his usual humorous sarcastic self but also a softness that I don’t think I have seen since his own story 🥰
All the feels and steam for days make this one heck of a read and we are only 2 books in 😆

Evette who was BFF's with Anaya, Pipper and Kaylee was hell bent on getting revenge for her friend Kaylee and what she was put through. But in doing so she stumbled onto something that put her in Danger. Terrified of flying she hightailed it out of California and went to ZCorp to find Kyle (Anaya's Husband) and ask for help. When Kyle came running down to the lobby Gabe was on his heels. So the old saying or maybe my saying "Attraction at first Sight" LOL. When Evette was taken upstairs she proceeded to explain someone tried to kill her explained what she was researching and Zane was his charming self. This story had a lot going on and we find out a lot about Gabe and how he grew up and why he's the way he is. At first I didn't understand the food thing with Evette but it's explained as the story progresses. Loved their read but was horrified what happened to Gabe with Evette and he were kidnapped. One thing about Riley Edwards Heroines is they are total badass. Loved the read and I'm sure you will too. Now onto Myles story. Oh I so can't wait.

Well, I swear my heart stopped a few times while I was reading this book; that’s what Riley Edwards’ writing does! Gabe is another Blue Team hunk/hero, but the real bonus in this book is that we have so much of Z himself. This is a book that you’ll enjoy so much more if you are familiar with Kalee and Anaya’s stories because Evette is their friend, and she wants to avenge the abuse Kalee’s is still recovering from. To do this, she’s been digging – and she’s in danger. The wrap of why she’s in danger and the story behind Kalee’s abduction and the razing of the village are Riley Edwards at her best – and no way am I giving spoilers. This is a single-sit read, and you’ll want tissues and coffee/hot chocolate to warm you when your heart stops as mine did. This is possibly my favorite addition to Susan Stoker’s world.
