She’s ready to grab her chance to be an even bigger star…

Celebrity sweetheart, Adelaide Townsend, has taken Hollywood by storm as the star of the Second Chances tv series. But as filming ends for the season, her phone has stopped ringing. Addy isn’t going to stand idly by and let her star fall, though. She had plans—big plans—to reinvent herself as a producer and head of her own studio. Nothing is going to stand in her way.

He’s searching for a career change and a way to prove himself…

Photographer Nick Burkhart has had a peek at the inner workings of Hollywood as Second Chances has filmed in his family home, and now he wants more. Part of that “more” is Addy. Even though he thinks she’s not his type at first, the more they are thrown together, the hotter the sparks between them get. When she offers him a chance to try his hand at filmmaking, Nick sees it as a chance he has to take.

But love affairs are not as easy to pull off behind the scenes as they are on screen. And when Addy’s ex stirs up trouble with the media and threatens Addy’s future, Nick might be the only one who can come to her rescue and make her dreams come true. If Hollywood doesn’t take him down first.

A well written captivating read. This isn’t my usual genre to read but I love the author’s historical romance books so I was eager to read this & I wasn’t disappointed. Once again it reinforces that if I love an author’s books it doesn’t matter what genre they write I’ll love it. A very well paced book with strong characters. I loved both Nick & Addy the chemistry between them was sizzling. I loved the road to their HEA, which of course had its ups & downs but made the pages fly by
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

This is a change from my normal. I do read contemporary romance but this one was a different type of contemporary romance. The plot has a number of peaks and valleys, longer valleys than I like. It is well defined and somewhat a slow read. The characters are engaging, charming, and as different from one another as possible. This is more of the glamour girl and the guy next door.

Nick Burkhart, he is sweet, outdoorsy, and hot in a sort of Maine, hipster way. He is a photographer wanting a change of pace.

Adelaide, Addy, Townsend, bombshell starlet in a Marilyn Monroe fashion, but smart, funny, aging of character, and able to tackle anything she wants.I

Ryan Strickland a mid -level producer, and our villain in the story.

Ryan is power hungry and sees Addy as arm-candy only due to her looks. Nick gets to know her and views her as a strong independent person.

Addy has been "dating" Ryan for business purposes only to help her with career moves only. Not she has gotten to know Nick and the chemistry they have is a power pull for her. Can they last, can it help or hurt her/him. Addy has decided to start a production company which will interfere with Ryan and what he wants.

This is a story mostly to do with career changes and the obstacles to overcome when you piss off a jealous, egotistical big wig. As the interaction blooms between Addy and Nick the banter and flirting. Getting backlash from Ryan makes things hard for these two will Have a long hard road.

With snow, ice, an avalanche (mini), a storm and paparazzi you have the making for a film. To get ask the adventure, and intrigue you will have to read the book.

I've enjoyed this author's historical romances and jumped at the chance of reading an advance copy of this book, although this did not influence my review. As another reviewer said if you enjoy an author's book in one genre there is a high probability that you'll enjoy them in others and that is certainly the case for me here. One point to note that there are some spicy scenes in the book, so maybe not for readers who do not enjoy these.
I am embarrassed to say that I have previous books in this series sitting in my TBR list, however having not read these first didn't affect my enjoyment of the book and I'll certainly have to go back and read them. An interesting take of how ordinary people can interact with Hollywood stars, the film Notting Hill comes to mind. Both Nick and Addy are strong characters and obviously have deep feelings for each other, but fame and a jealous ex on both sides could come between them. I definitely enjoyed this book and managed to lose myself in the story as it developed, a sign of a good book.

Addy and Nick are opposites and not each other’s type at all. She’s a glamorous Hollywood star and he’s a long haired bearded photographer. But while she is filming second chance series at his house they notice each other and the attraction slowly builds.
I have read the first three books and this a great addition. I loved the way the actors filming second chance intergrate effortlessly with the actors and crew.
Of course nothing goes smoothly in their path to their HEA but this book kept me gripped from start to finish.
I received an ARC from the author and leave my review voluntarily.

A five-star ending!
I don’t read a great many contemporary romance but I am a fan of the author so gave it a shot. I liked the story it had some interesting twists and turns and a cast that was very realistic. Then a jealous man doesn’t get his way that will mean trouble for Addy. I loved the ending Nick is so torn with what he was doing and then comes one hick of a twist. Gang it was a five-star ending! Great chemistry with just the right drama this book was a pleasure to read. I highly recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

I missed the original 3 books, I usually like to read a series from the start, but I read this beautiful story about a love affair that I would not usually read. I loved the book and can't wait for the next!

A lot of people might not like it, but I think it is a great deal of work realistic written book...
