Is with a heavy heart I have to admit. I didn’t like this book as much as the others.
Well, to be honest, the first book was the best, the book where Callie was definitely her at her “no F’s given best”.
After that book, it appeared the authors was trying too hard to squeeze in to many Chase and Callie booty call moments.
Thus, caused some rather absurd leaps of faith in the plot, and Chase’s abilities to propel himself into dorm rooms, libraries, janitors closets, just so these two could over indulge in a sexcape.
( How did he end up in Callie’s dorm room after the initiation ceremony, with his sister in the same dorm? undetected ?🤷🏻♀️)
So, it was predictable that we would get large chunks of Callie running around campus, never knowing if someone from the Nobles, or Virtue’s was going to jump out at her, sandwiched between marathon sex sessions with Chase 😏
In the meantime, Sabine, is at her manipulative, evil, best
Falyn Willow, Violet as her Virtue Princess are doing her bidding.
While Chase, the Noble’s Prince, is, on one hand, trying to rescue the Noble’s reputation, and hang on to his soon- to-be inherited position, and help Callie bring the Power Hungry Sabine down.
During this process, we eventually find out about Callie’s real background and her links to Rose Briar, the OG Virtue.
Unfortunately, Callie desire to bring down not only the Virtues but the Nobles as well, places her relationship with Chase at odds.
Chase also, in an attempt to keep Callie away from Sabines clutches goes to the extreme lengths of returning to his bullying ways at the suggestion of his right hand man, Tempest.
Of course this all comes to a head at the end in the temple where everyone gets involved in the big finale fight.
Where, once again , Callie, strangely enough, manages to defy’s death once more
( thanks to the voice in her head of all her friends that she able to harness to overcome her predicament and give her strength…Go Callie! Go,…so cringe)
Well.
It took getting to the last book in the series for us to finale get a Chases’s POV.
And wasn’t THAT worth waiting for.
Basically it just gave us insight to all his dirty thoughts and all the different way he wanted to F Callie intermingled with a little glimpse into how much he hated his evil daddy, and the conniving Sabines end game.
Overall.
This book was way too predictable plot wise.
Well Duh! …Poor Ivy was going to be the sacrificial lamb.🤷🏻♀️
Who didn’t see THAT coming!
What? …You thought the author was gunna let Chase DIE!?!?
( Ha! ..Now THAT would have been an interesting plot twist 🤔)
She ( Ivy) had to go to make way for Callie rise up the Virtues ladder, becoming the new Princess.
Look.
This third, and finale book wasn’t bad.
We did get a wraps up of all the key lose ends, but Callie, and Chase’s ability to get out of some diabolical situations was a stretch too far me.
Plus, I was getting more than a little sick of Callie strutting around like she was ACTUAL real Royalty
As we meandered towards the end of this series, we were offered explanation, after explanation, as twist were coming at us thick and fast.
Crazy Stuff, only for it all to be taken away from us so we could all be all hearded towards that all,too familiar …H. E. A. 😒
However☝️the author made sure to squeeze in one more bang session between Callie and Chase just before heading off for their Graduation Party.
And before we were privileged to THAT, we got the three besties all gushing over the upcoming party and their prep, for it.
Save Me! 😩
