Bridges A Lost Connection is a collection of poems. This book is intended to connect the emotion of the writer to his readers through these imperative poems.

While reading you will feel like linking yourself with the pain of the poem and you may sense the rational impact of the poem's lines on your own life.

The versatile narration of verses. The subjective touch in this poem is remarkable. Each page dips your eyes with sensation.

Well, now this is what I would call modern poetry.
I was practically giving up on these modern, “trendy” compilations of nothingness that I had read recently. And yes, I’m speaking of Rupi Kaur, and ESPECIALLY Amanda Lovelace. Dear sweet Lord, those were bad.

But apparently I found a shining light in “Bridges”.

I really enjoyed reading this collection! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to enjoy reading poetry so I am so happy that I found a gem again. I marked lots and lots of pages because almost every poem made me feel something and that is what I love so much about reading poetry. The book is divided into six sections: loving, aching, regretting, longing, healing, sparkling. The first half of the book was my favourite half, especially the ‘’aching’’ section. Further, it contains short modern poems which go along with beautiful illustrations. I heard that the author made the illustrations herself, which I think is so cool! Also, she is only 17 and has already published a beautiful poetry collection. I’m definitely interested in seeing what else she has to bring! I decided to rate this collection 4/5 stars. My reasons for deducting a star are that I noted some grammatical errors while reading and that I didn’t understand all of the poems. I think the grammatical errors exist because the author is not a native English speaker, but the errors did not take away from the poems’ ability to evoke emotion.

One of my favourite poems:
‘’your presence was witnessed
even by the trees around
the fallen dry leaves feel empty
why are you not here
they ask me
when i stare out of the window
with tears of sorrow filled in my eyes
helplessly i hopelessly sit
for long slipping hours
wishing you were here
silent were the surroundings
as nobody could hear the screams
astoundingly loud in my head
even the flowers whispered to each other
how could i take it
and i kept wondering
why was i taking it’’

Thank you so much to the author for sending me a copy. This did in no way affect the honesty of my review.

✨'You bleed; yet you fly
So high in the sky
Drizzling the universe
With your dazzle
Dripping from the scars
You own
That make you worth it
So precious'✨

💫'Bridges' is a debut poetry book by an 18 year old Shana Jaroli sharing her story and feelings through poems. Each poem here depicted a roller coaster ride of emotions with every feeling, every pain. The words are like a bridge connected right from the authors heart to readers heart.

💫The book is divided into 6 parts- loving, aching, regretting, longing, healing and sparkling. Every part have beautiful and artistic poems describing the feelings of falling in love, pain, broken hearts, falling apart, longing for that love, healing and finally rising from the pain and embracing our flaws.

💫There are too many poems which I loved in the book. I will share it in my next post. Still sharing Few lines here..

✨'And love that grew in the spaces
Lifted our balloons of trust
And reach to the sky
Again to meet up
Being the best version of ourselves
Altogether yet again.'✨

I would like to share one more-

✨'Living on
With a tangled mess of hair
She is there
Radiating charm
Not caring
About all the mess
She carries
She duly moves
Self-contained
With a smile
Plastered across her face'✨

💫The cover was so artistic and attractive with the title which made me curious about the book at first. And when I read it, it was like this book was meant for me to read. This is so relatable for me in few poems which made me surprised that how she can relate this feeling so beautifully.

💫As the language was easy, it became more easy to understand rmeach poetry with an awe moments for me. Being a poetry lover and an hopeless romantic the words here made me felt too much which is the main reason I took too much time in reading and feeling every poem.

💫It is highly recommended to every poetry lover be it beginner or professional. It is a cocktail of emotions with every turning page.

🥀Poetries have the power to dig deep into your heart and provide immense emotions. The book "Bridges a lost connection" is a book that contains topics like Loving, Aching, Regretting, Longing, Healing and Sparkling. The cover page of the book is light and beautiful, moreover glamourous enough to catch one's attention and the title is suitable for the book.

🥀I was enjoying the doodles illustrated along with verses on each of the pages of her poetries which add an artistic glimmer to the book. This poetry book is a profound collection of well crafted fresh poetries. These poetries are based on different themes like life, love, romance, suffering, regretting, friendship, longing, grief, and healing.

🥀These verses make me think deeply and differently about everything. This book is your excellent friend to spend time with, a wonderful sunrise with your chai, during the monsoon as you enjoy the rain, or on moon nights when you gaze at the full moon. There are many poems in this book which I found very winsome. But still, I'll mention one stance of a poem:
"The air here is wonderful
And there are clouds shattered
As if the lost words of poetry
All grey
In the dark open sky
That stays mysterious
No it won't agree
To change its color
Today
It will grow
As it has to
Dark
Darker
Until the sun
Brings in its colours.".

🥀The poetries are jotted down in such a manner that even an amateur can browse them without any kind of trouble & can feel the aroma and significance of each verse's profoundness. The writing manner of the writer is good it's penned in a very meaningful manner & author nicely depicted her feelings & thoughts on paper.

🥀The vocabulary used in the book is quite stunning. Each word used in the book is chosen very dashingly to maintain the theme, ambiance & emotion of each poetry intact. The narration of the book is quite good. You can connect to them with each passing page which is quite interesting to read.

"Your eyes were always
mysterious and dark
and I couldn't hunt
what they spoke
staring them was
forever and endless
it brought feelings of
deep despair and gloom
which I couldn't understand"
.
When you feel something within your mind or heart, you don't wait for the right words to put them into paper. You simply start scribbling and, there you are with a beautiful poetry of your own creation. And trust me, this can be one of the most honest and unabridged version of yourself.
BRIDGES, by the very young author Shana, had made me feel the same emotions with her blending of raw imagination and reality into beautiful poetries.
.
With six major divisons namely- loving, aching, regretting, longing, healing, and sparkling, the book sets you on a journey of different emotions one could feel in a lifetime. One can witness the depth of this beautiful feeling called love, and also the pain associated with it. Healing and Sparkling speaks of author's emergence as acceptance, self sufficient and restoration of confidence.
.
It is rightly said that to make an impact on others, you don't have to fabricate or beautify your words, it's the intention that could do the magic. I was swept away with her strong and powerful words portraying her life. I was really appreciating the doodles sketched on each of the pages of her poetries. With free versed styling and non- rhythmic patterns, the poems will definitely leave a mark long after you have read them.
The cover is another added beauty in the book, representing both autumn and spring aesthetics.

🙂 Cover of the book is designed in a very artistic & eye catching manner. It's simple yet attractive one.
🙂 Writing style of the book is just magnificent. It's just connect your heart through author's word by the bridge of emotions that one author created through the penwork.
🙂 Language used in the book is simple & easily understandable. Language plays a very crucial role in poem books & I must appreciate author's vocabulary skills here that she exactly keep the language of the book as simple as it could be.
🙂 With the help of the book I am able to connect again to my old days whose memories were somehow faded & many unknown things of my life. It just takes me to the below memory lane.
🙂 The illustrated pencil works just adds an extra crunch to the reading experience.
🙂 Pace of the book is also good. You can easily finish the book in one go. But the deep impact it has that surely lasts long in your subconscious mind.
🙂 I expect some titles of the poems which are Missing in the book that disappoints me too.
🙂 Price of the book seems to be little high end. If the price is around 150-170 then it can be highly recommend by me according to price point.
🙂 Nevertheless for poet lovers this book is a must try one.

This book contains a collection of poetry written by Shana Jaroli, an excellent 17 year old young author who used the strength of her words to express all types of feelings.
A collection of poetry is like entering into a land of uncharted emotions, filled with tantalising nuances of life and truth expressed in a manner that anybody can understand. These poems are grouped into six sections: loving, regretting, aching, healing, longing, and sparkling, and they cover a wide range of topics and ideas.
One may see the depths of this magnificent feeling known as love, as well as the agony that comes with it. The author's emergence as acceptance, self-sufficiency, and confidence restoration is described in Healing and Sparkling. It is properly claimed that you don't have to create or polish your words to have an impact on others; it is your intention that can accomplish the magic.
The poems' free versed style and non-rhythmic rhythms will leave an indelible impression long after you've read them. The book's cover is another highlight, embracing warm cozy winter days.

The poems are accompanied by simple aesthetic illustrations that give them an artistic depth. The collection within is beautifully complimented by the brown aesthetic cover. I appreciate the author for her skills in writing this beautiful book at a very young age.

So do I recommend reading this book of poems? Ofcourse yes it's a beautiful book.

Title- Bridges : A Lost Connection
Author- Shana Jaroli

Review:

“Bridges : A Lost Connection” by Shana Jaroli is a beautiful anthology of poems that takes readers on a roller coaster ride of emotions and feelings that emanate from the various themes that these poems aesthetically touch or portray.

Divided into six parts, this collection of poems delves into six themes namely; loving, aching, regretting, longing, healing and sparkling. These themes in greater scheme of things or in wholesome represents the life of an individual where one struggles or jostles with a particular phase only to be thrown to the next one where the already emotionally drained individual has to fight next set of challenges that life has to offer. But one must remember that faith, perseverance and hope always tunnels through the mountain of doubt, crisis, despair and pessimism. Love survives all the odds not to fade out but to gather a more passionate and profound moment that has power to change the person we are.

Overall, written in a simple and lucid language, “Bridges” is a powerful and inspiring collection of poems that carves out a space in the hearts of readers. It takes us back to the nostalgic lanes of our past where a lot was found and lost. This is the “bridge” or this is the theme that the poetess has tried to lay for readers. A perfect read for Sunday afternoon. Would recommend it to everyone!

“I heard a voice inside me crack

world they didn't know”

Reading a book of poems is like diving into the land of unexplored emotions, tantalising details of life and reality written in a way that anyone could easily relate to. "Bridges" is the debut poetry collection by Shana Jaroli, a 17-year-old who hopes to change the world and make it a better place.

This book has been segregated into 6 variations of sentiments catering to 'Loving', 'Aching', 'Regretting', Longing', 'Healing' and 'Sparkling'. The artwork in the book was very stunning and charming.

I really enjoyed reading this collection. The author has the ability to touch upon the various range of emotions through her writing and all the beautiful illustrations are like cherry on top. I noted some grammatical errors while reading but the errors didn't take away from the poem's ability to evoke emotion. I am very sure that poetry lovers will find this book a treat to read.

This is the another book written by Shana Jaroli and now I have read both of the books. I really liked reading both the books and author's writing style is very awesome. I felt that both of the book were very different and unique. Author did a really great job in writing this book. It is a very difficult task to write a book with this much perfection. Title of this book is very well thought we can understand the irony in the title (Bridges:A lost connection). Author is very young and we can see the creativity of a young mind in this book and according to me this is one of the reasons this book is very different from other books. A book written by a 17 Year old who is very mature according to her age. I did not know a teenager would ever write a book like this.

This is the type of book which you would love to read before going to bed every night. This book has now become a comfort book for me whenever i feel low, i start reading this book and that brings a smile on my face. Poems in this book includes all kinds of emotions like love, aching, regret, longing, healing, and sparkle and joy. Author follows a specific pattern in her books which makes the book more interesting, sorted and engaging. I somehow related to every poem in one way or another. If you want to start reading poets i think you should start with this book. Everyone should get this book even if you are not overly fond of poems, once you starting reading this book you will have a different opinion.

"Bridges" is a potpourri of real emotions unleashed onto paper. It's the debut poetry collection by Shana Jaroli, an 18 year old who hopes to change the world and make it a better place.

The poetry is divided into six parts - Loving, Aching, Regretting, Longing , Healing and Sparkling. You fall in love, break hearts, get heart broken, you regret, you long for the lost love, you heal and you sparkle. It's this cycle of emotions one faces in life is explored by the author through the poems.

"You bleed; yet you fly
so high in the sky
drizzling the universe
with your dazzle
dripping from the scars
you own
that make you worth it
so precious".

...............................

" Living on
with a tangled mess of hair
she is there
radiating charm
not caring
about all the mess
she carries
she duly moves
self-contained
with a smile
plastered across her face".

...............................

Written in free verse, the poems are honest, realistic and flowing. It feels like a 'bridge' from the poet's pen right to the reader's heart. Some of the poems felt relatable and the universality and originality of the words is what I find more charming. While, I found some of the verses shallow and grammatical errors at certain places were a let down. Nevertheless, it was a good attempt from the author's part. Recommended to beginners of poetry.

Reading a book of poems is like diving into the land of unexplored emotions, tantalising details of life and reality written in a way that one could easily relate. These poems cover diverse topics and themes which is divided into six sections named as loving, regretting, aching, healing, longing and sparkling. Through these long elaborate, short but impactful poems we can see the poet's strong hold on the imagination and impressive writing skills. I personally liked the poems from regretting, longing and aching sections as they were painfully relatable to me. You can finish this collection of wonderful poems in a few settings as it may take a while to unpack what you're feeling once you start reading. Author has the ability to touch upon the various range of emotions through her writing and all the beautiful illustrations are like cherry on top. I highlighted so many poems from this book but my favourite lines are:

I sit by my window
watch the waves
tremble over each other
they are laughing
to the way they see one another
and i jot it all down
in my heart
and in my notebook
to make sure that i don't lose
things i wanted forever
memories i stashed in my pages of life ever

Who knew I had excellent tastes in poetry. But yeah, that's why I love this book so much.

•My favourite poetry book, ever.

•The cover, as you might have noticed, is just *DIVINE*. I love the vibes this poetry collection gives off.

•The format of the poetry is unique and I would say somewhere unexplored. Which makes it just more beautiful and homely, one might say.

• We. Have. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. Illustrations.

•Shatter Me lovers are going to dig this one. The narration gives heavy Juliette Ferrars from the first book vibes.

•Loosely divided into six parts that span six different human emotions and experience.

•This is like the only poetry book I've connected with in so long.

•Also might I add, Swifties are gonna love the lyrics because like I said, Divine.

••••••

"love is the process
It is not the destination
love is about you
being willing to ruin
your masterpiece"

••••••
•Nothing. I repeat, nothing beats these lines.

•'Bridges' caters to every kind of human emotion there is. Loving. Aching. Regretting. Longing. Healing. Sparkling. Like I said, every kind.

•There aren't any big words in here. Every poem is simple and sweet and very very homely.

•I loved every page of this and that's why you should love it too.

•Go read it folks.

Bridges: A Lost Connection by Shana Jaroli is a collection of poems expressing love, aching, regret, longing, healing, and sparkle and joy. The author has penned her thoughts and emotions and given them a place where she felt comfortable. While pouring her heart out the author has concocted a beautiful collection of poems that can connect with readers and make them feel seen.

The collection is divided into six parts and each part contains poems deciphering the topic of that specific chapter. The book starts with poems of love and happiness and every hue of colors surroundings love and what it was like when they were in love. The second and third chapters are aching and regretting. Each poem contains the words of what could have been, the hollowness of it all, and the despair and sadness that comes after it, missed chances, expectations, narrow misses, and ignorance.

The longing is the fourth chapter and one of my favorite chapters of the book. Healing is a close second. Some of my favorite poems from the book are from this chapter. These chapters talk about the distance and love between them. A sense of closure and composure from the past and rehabilitate yourself and see things in a new light. For all the past love, grief, and what lays ahead in life.

The language is pretty lucid. The poems are well written and although their meaning of them is pretty deep, it's easy enough to decipher the emotions and feelings written through them. Some of the poems were too big and I felt lost sometimes about what the author was trying to convey but otherwise, it's a nice collection of poems and poems lovers will enjoy it.

Poetry is thoughts that breathe, and words that burn.

Bridges, a lost connection is a masterpiece by a 17 year old young girl Shana Jaroli who is quite passionate about writing poems, and started her collection of poems in 2015 when she first wrote her first poem about her “home”, the happiest place on this planet.

The book is a collection of ostentatious and soul- soothing poems, categorised into six different topics- loving, aching, regretting, longing, healing, and sparkling. Though it was quite difficult to choose, somehow I managed to pick one , being my favourite of all the poems from each category. You can swipe to read them all.

The author has captured the complex emotions and has also been meticulous with the details, making it more vivid and wholesome experience for the readers. They are sure to keep the readers glued to the book.

Shana has poured her heart out writing this book. The poems are genuinely very beautiful, along with being warm and comforting. She has flawlessly drafted the book and the book cover is extraordinarily pretty.

I highly appreciate Shana’s work and strongly recommend everyone, especially the poetry lovers to grab this book as quick as possible.

Brew some coffee and enjoy your read.

Bridges : A lost connection is a beautiful poetry collection divided into six sections : loving, aching, regretting, longing, healing and sparkling. The name of the sections tell what the themes of the poems are clearly but they can't tell you how beautifully written these poems are!

The poetess has not only managed to spill bare emotions through these poems but has also created these beautiful and relatable rhymes which give a sense of understanding and belongingness to the readers.

The poems are written in free verse and they are accompanied by simple yet impactful and noteworthy illustrations. Some of the poems will touch your heart while others will make you feel the pain behind the words.

My favorite section was the last section - sparkling and I have also shared my favorite lines from this section in the beginning of this review. This book will be a good pick for anyone who likes to read contemporary poetry.

The book 'Bridges' by Shana Jaroli divided into six parts - Loving, Aching, Regretting, Longing, Healing and Sparkling. The first two things that attracts about this book is the title and the cover page. Both of the things are too artistic. Title is actually a very well thought one because it represents an irony and that can only be felt after reading the book and taking a moment to understand it. The poems are very well written and takes you deep in your thoughts to really understand the hidden meaning of them.

The author is very well versed with the language and is doing a great job while writing the poems. Each and every poem represents an emotion and that is what connects the book to the readers. It is a short book but will take time to read because you may need to stop and enjoy the flavor of it every time. Few of my favorite lines from the book are:

You wanted me to look for you
but i didn't
because I had given up
on mending broken things
those never wanted to heal themselves
those wanted to break everything around
those didn't care enough
for the scars they gave others
I gave up
not on you
but on taking the scars from you.

Reading poems are the another level satisfaction for one's mind and soul.
This book is collection of short poems which covers the different emotions.

This book perfectly sets up an example that poetry is not confined to rhyming, it is more about rhyming the reader's heart to the penned down words. It's short , subtly beautiful and easy to read.

The book covers most of the topics like loving, Healing , regret, and lot more .
End of the page there were doodles which are very impressive and attractive.
The poems collection is really nice.

These poetries are based on different themes like life, love, romance, suffering, regretting, friendship, longing, grief, and healing.
Beauty is a scar
you'd die for
this is something
anyone would live for.

Language written in the book is quite easy, both beginner & advance reads can read it easily without any dictionary.

The title of the book completely resonates with the content written inside the book.
I find the book gripping to read, I would like to recommend the book the people who like to read poetry.
It's a short quick read that you can easily finish at one go.

This book consists of a collection of poems crafted by Shana Jaroli, an impressive young author, who condensed all forms of emotions with the power of her words. Bridges- A Lost Connection, has been segregated into 6 variations of sentiments catering to ‘Loving’, ‘Aching’, ‘Regretting’, ‘Longing’, ‘Healing’ and ‘Sparkling’.

VERDICT
Pros:
1) One word- Marvellous
These poems were not just group of sentences; they had a life of their own. Very few poems have the power to invoke catharsis among the readers and the collection in Bridges is some of the rare few.

2) Though the poems were partitioned into 6 different emotions, the context of the poetry seamlessly flowed into the other. You start with ‘Loving’ which comes with ‘Longing’ and leads to ‘Aching’ and ‘Regret’. The bittersweet experiences purge you when you ‘Heal’ and then you finally ‘Sparkle’. I commend the author for such an intellectual flow of thoughts amidst the abstract art of words.

I would definitely recommend everyone to go through the work of Bridges and experience the poems yourself.

An all-encompassing poetry collection in words that actually connect to us is how I would describe this beautiful book.

“Bridges- A lost connection” is a collection of poetry that speaks to the soul and expresses its emotions. The poetic verses in this book hold such depth of emotions in them that you will feel as if the author has bared her soul through these lines.

The free-flowing and freestyle of penning the lines, for the first time in a while, captivated me and left me asking for more every time I turned a page. A creative mix of short and long verses made this collection an engaging read, in the meantime also avoiding monotony.

There are simple illustrations accompanying the verses which add an artistic dimension to them. The minimalist cover beautifully complements the collection within.

To think that these lines were penned by a 17-year-old, I can only wonder and appreciate the gift she has with words and writing. It is safe to say that I will be looking forward to reading more of her works in the future.

" I gave up
Not on you
But on taking the scars from you "

So, a lot of people were asking me in my DMs about the book whose snippets I used to put up in my Instagram stories. This is the book Bridges: A lost connection. It is the author's debut book and I cannot even stress on the fact how she has taken me by surprise.

Each word, each sentence, each paragraph, each page had such depth in it and there were layers of meaning that you could extract from the beautiful collection of words.
It is 220 pages book divided into 6 parts. I loved reading this one and tbh it gave me all sorts of vibes that Rupi Kaur's books provide. I wouldn't deny that the way the book has been designed is somewhat similar. Nevertheless, if you're an amateur-ish poetry reader just like me, you can definitely check this one out.

Thank you for the review copy and Shana was kind enough to send 5 amazing bookmarks along with it. :)

This is a beautiful collection of poems that are written in a profound way. The illustrations are beautiful which depicts different emotions. This book will touch your heart.

You can gift this book on someone’s birthday, it’s a pretty gift, it simply signifies how beautifully one can express her/his feelings on paper and the world can read it. The words are beautiful with a deep essence of life.

For the poetry lovers, this book is for you. The language is simple and easy to understand with a lovely title. The cover is beautiful, simply gives an aesthetic look. Below are the few lines I liked the most:

“how to erase what once happened

for endless goodbyes.”

This is possibly the best poetry collection I've ever read. The book presents the words that are simple yet profound, eliciting a range of emotions. I admire how there was no pretense of difficult language. The poems are so enticing that I'm unable to pick a single favorite. The cover is literally so aesthetically pleasing that even with minimal props the vibes are very comforting. The artwork in the book was stunning and charming. With each turn of the page, I grow more attached to the book. I'm definitely gonna pick every book written by @uthor in the future and surely gonna recommend this to everyone.

This poetry book has a special place in my heart. Recently I have been reading poetry books, and about this 'Bridges' I couldn't put down until I finish this, and that too, I finished in an one sitting. The poems are intense and indepth.I thoroughly enjoyed the journey of this whole book. Some poems are difficult to interpret sometimes but I am ecstatic about how I was able to connect with the idea of the author and poems. It was really good and relatable. This book fits my all expectations of a good poetry book along with a aesthetic cover page and the great choice of title.
