First of all I want to say I enjoyed the story. The plot and ideas behind it very well done. I have read many of this authors work and unfortunately it is inconsistent. Some are amazing and others not so much.

This I would really like to label amazing because the story has that potential and normally when reviewing I will overlook typos and stuff as. However, in this book it cannot be over looked.

The title is such a misnomer. Christmas was a blink of an eye in the last third. The backstory for Stella changes. First her father dies when she is seven, then he is a loser who ignores her. There are other inconsistencies that would be more of a spoiler so I will leave it there. There are also misspelled words. Completely wrong words used that have no connection to the word used. I wonder if this author has an editor or Beta Readers. If so retraining or replacing them might be an idea.

Will this stop me from reading more of Amy Brant? No! As I said a lot of her books are very good. What is that saying (paraphrasing here). “When it was good, it was very, very good. But when it was bad it was awful” ( apologies to the originator of that line)
