PARASHURAMA: The Sixth Avatar
Sage Jamadagni and his wife Renuka do a penance, propitiating Lord Vishnu, praying that he should be born as their son. And that’s how the lord takes the avatar of Parashurama.

Yet another lovely book by Sundari Venkatraman on mythology for youngsters that I read and loved despite being a "very grown up kid" myself. For young and adults alike a lovely way of learning more about Indian mythology.
