This is a must-read book. One could never go wrong with this book by Saber Azam. There are a lot of lessons to learn and to apply in one’s life. In the story Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles, anybody can be absorbed in its content. I learned a lot about how humanitarian actions are undertaken and was so inclined to the characters' burning passion in helping other people, especially those victims of war. How could they have so much compassion for the people who are not even related to them! Abraham and Selina are the real power couple. They live a purposeful life. They do not just talk, but they walk the talk. Such an inspirational book to read and such wonderful characters to admire!
I like Azam’s writings very much. They are not just novels, but also books that can teach you about the history, culture, and social structure of other people that we, in our countries, may not be aware of. He is a great humanist who wants to share his passion for human well-being with others, us!

The story of Abraham journeys the readers to his humanitarian work in the dangerous parts of the world. He is a brave soul. Fulfilling his humanitarian missions is the purpose he must live with. His life was not easy, yet he dreamt of a better life for others. He does not want others to experience the same sufferings he went through. He wants a better future for the next generations to come.
Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles by Saber Azam recounts his story and the efforts he made to alleviate the living condition of underprivileged people, those who are victims of war and political conflicts. There are also some funny incidents in the story to lighten up the mood.
I did not know much about humanitarian stories, and this book took me to the heart of fascinating actions. There is everything in it: the good, the bad, the evil, the innocents, and all that teaches us about what we did not know. In this episode of Abraham’s and Selina’s mission, Liberia is the center location of their action. I eagerly look to Azam’s next book.

My son and I had a long talk about this novel the other day after he finished reading it for history class.
War and slavery may sound ancient to some people, especially to those who live in a place with better conditions. They may encounter these despicable ideas in history books or during their class discussion with their history teacher. I am blessed enough to be born in a place where there is no physical war happening. I can sympathize, but I doubt if my empathy would be enough to experience and feel the depth of pain and suffering of those people who personally lived their lives in a time of war, barely surviving. It breaks my heart to learn that when diplomacy is given much importance in this modern time, some leaders chose to shed blood instead of talking things over. I may never know much of the reasons behind their decisions, but this book reminded me of the real condition of the other parts of the world. Hell’s Mouth is a must-read piece.

Thousands of years, centuries, decades had passed, and humans could never get over war like it is a normal thing we encounter in day-to-day life. In the modern days, I have these thoughts that war should never be an option to solve any problem. It should never be that way, yet humans always have their way of bringing the worst in everyone. As if they have that innate skill and talent in them to inflict pain and suffering to others and do the same as an act of revenge or retaliation towards a despicable act. Life is too short to spend on negative things like war. This book, Hell’s Mouth by Saber Azam, is a must-read book to bring light to the darkened perspective humans have.
I would strongly recommend this book not only to Americans and Europeans but to all. Through a unique style, Saber Azam tells us the facts about our past history and how it affected our present time through a unique style. I am looking forward to reading more books similar to this one.

Defending the poor and discriminated people is such a noble purpose anyone can shoulder. Abraham is a character in the book Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles by Saber Azam, who takes on the job of giving a hand to these kinds of people. He is honest, hardworking, intelligent, and principled. One must put the interest of the common good before his or her own interest. Sadly, only a few humans can pull off this kind of purpose and way of life nowadays.
With this kind of world, Abraham gives a shed of light and a positive outlook on life despite the discrimination and poverty that are very rampant in our society. At least, we can say that there is still hope in humanity.

Compelling and thought-provoking! This is how I would describe this book. It really forced me thinking hard. My thoughts were never the same after finishing this book.
Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles by Saber Azam opened my eyes and took me to an adventure that changed how I view life. It broke my heart to read about the horrible condition of Liberians during the civil war in this country. I knew that their condition was not good, but I did not expect the severity of the situation. I was astounded and dumbfounded even. How could it even happen, or how could it even exist. Indeed, warlords are dangerous creatures we should be wary of, even with our own selves. Azam gives amazing accounts about some of them in this book. African Joe, Saddam Hussein, and others like them have been frightening individuals. Everybody must read the book to understand how Abraham and Selina handle them and their evil intentions.

I was glad to experience such a book during this season of vulnerabilities in the time of the pandemic. It was refreshing in the sense that it did not cover the same internal US politics – something that has proliferated too much in the last four years or so. Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles fairly helped me recapture my balance in confronting the current circumstance we experience in this world. I have heard a great deal of philanthropic work during this pandemic, and there are various people, some famous and some who were not, who did not botch the chance to help other people. Abraham helped me to remember that there are still great-hearted individuals existing in the four corners of the earth. This book is an extraordinary update to the list of books that surely inspire me to be a better human being. Hell’s Mouth by Saber Azam is a book you should never miss.

I cannot just get enough of this book. This gem by Saber Azam is certainly a book we can all stand for. It was written well and was easy to understand. The story of Abraham and Selina in Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles is a journey you will want to ride on. They have got missions to fulfill, and saving humanity is one of them. Their desire to help others, especially those stricken by the Liberian civil war, is something that should be applauded. Living on earth would be so worthwhile if there are more people like them, instead of jerks and bad people. A better place where people sincerely care for one another without hidden agendas or anything would be wonderful.
I particularly liked Azam’s style of honest writing. He is outspoken about issues that matter in our lives on earth. Bravo!

As one of the humans who dwells on earth, the word humanitarian seems so foreign to me. I have heard it from someone, read it from some book, and have watched some people do it, but I still cannot grasp the truest meaning of it. It is foreign and too alien for me. Good thing that I encountered this book by Saber Azam. It helps me broaden my understanding of humanitarian work. I was hopeless and helpless when it comes to an understanding the concept of humanitarian effort. Then again, that is no longer the case now. I am a renewed person, geared with new knowledge of becoming a better person. Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles is a book you must get and read right away to learn things about humanitarian work.

And there are humans in this world who satisfy their selfish desire by misusing others. Yes, such underhanded people exist. As I read this book, I could not help but feel convicted. What have I been doing with my 31 years of life? I thought that I was never something purposeful towards other people. Like I have been selfish all this time. Saber Azam got me thinking of little things I might be able to do to contribute something meaningful to this world, like the ones that are feasible on my part. It does not have to be like what Abraham does. I know that I can help in little ways, and I am determined to find it.

A revengeful heart is a product of injustice and abusive events in life. But Abraham is a different case; instead of seeking revenge, he lives a life to help others who are victims of wars. He does not want to inflict the same pain and suffering he had experienced on other clueless human beings. He is a man of honor who greatly puts emphasis on serving others. I found a rare brave soul in his character. His way of retaliating to war and violence is the most peaceful method he can choose from, and that is giving a hand to those who are in need. He is a real “humanitarian James Bond” who cares for others and fights for justice empty-handed.

Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles is about his adventure as a humanitarian in the Ivory Coast to help victims of the Liberian civil war. And his prime concern is the security and well-being of countless needy people affected by this conflict. He does not put his own interest above others as much as possible. His kind and loving partner, Selina, is the perfect companion he needs to finish the missions entrusted to him. I surmise there is no single country in this world that never encounters political turmoil. It seems like each country faces this sort of dilemma, and it is something that we can never escape from in this defective world. Saber Azam shows us how this quandary pushes individuals of such a country. No individual appreciates turmoil. We all need to move away from it and free ourselves from such negative circumstances. It is a gamble he willingly took on.

Racial differences have paralyzed for centuries towards the road of becoming a real human being. We were taught in ancient times that being different is such a despicable thing. We were wrong, and some of our ancestors were so wrong. To cut the story short, this kind of mindset was inherited from them. So some of the blame falls on them, but we also have a fair share of the blame.

I keep thinking about whether there is such a book that illuminates fire and energy in me, a sort of book that does not just contain sex which is a much popular topic nowadays. I was persistently searching for that kind of book, and I was aware that there are a lot of other titles that fall under that category. And I was glad to become acquainted with this book written by the author Saber Azam.

This book is loaded with humankind and my heart goes to each of the main characters of the story. As a fellow human being, I cannot deny the association I have with the characters. Although I did not live in their area with poor conditions, the sympathy and empathy I feel pour out towards the characters as they go through pain and suffering. Their experience is, by all accounts, so genuine on my part. Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles by Saber Azam is an absolute necessity for you to read. You must read this book, guys! Saber Azam is an addition to the long list of my favorite authors of all time. I cannot deny the attraction I have from the book written by Azam. Hell’s Mouth: A Journey to the Heart of West African Jungles is the first book I read, and I totally understand it. It is heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. There were sad and happy moments in this book, along with other emotions that go extreme. It is all about humanitarian activities by the main character, Abraham, and his wife, Selina, a very refreshing duo that defies the conventional marriage the society dictates. It is a story of humanity’s attempt to remain sane in a world full of sanity.

This is such an inspirational book; I am sure a lot of readers will agree with me once they have finished reading the story. The humanitarian work fulfilled by the main character, Abraham, is such a noble job anyone can have here on earth. But I doubt anyone can simply do that.
