Remembering takes the reader through a story of loss, love, friendship, and heartbreak. Caelyn Price had never had as good of a friend as her twin brother, David. Just as their bond grew through a shared experience of diving, the Price family suffered a great loss. A brother, son, and friend was taken too soon. Caelyn finds herself, years later, struggling to find who she wants to be and where life will take her.

Entering college on a swim scholarship to Boston University, Caelyn joined her long-time best friend, Liam Carter, as a Boston Terrier. However, college proved a new set of challenges and trials for Caelyn. Here she struggles with the relationships in her life and moving through and past unforeseen obstacles. She will need to lean on the support of her closest friends to heal and move forward. With the anniversary of her brother's death looming over her head, unforeseen news will rock Caelyn's world. Will this be enough for her to find her voice? Will she lose her best friend? Or will she lose herself in the wake of it all? Remembering is the key to it all.

The list is long of books I’ve come across that have allowed me to be immersed into the story - seeing the characters and the setting with my own eyes, empathizing with their feelings and decisions, and internalizing the lessons they learn. Remembering, a debut novel by a remarkable young writer, finds itself near the top of that list. Each page held my attention, and each sentence necessary to the work. Cue the applause.

This debt novel checks every box for your classic love story, but still surprised me with multiple twists in the final pages. The young author was able to masterfully juggle themes of grief, perseverance, and a loss of innocence for the two young protagonists, but consistently reiterated the true thesis of the romance: the necessity of friendship. I can’t wait to see what H.B. releases next, and would recommend this book to all!

The book description quickly caught my attention .I was immersed into the story by the first chapter. I liked the way the writer didn't shy away the more intense details whether it be romantic or dangerous circumstances. I enjoyed this book.
