Love is never a sin. If it’s a sin it’s not love. And if it’s love it’s not a sin.

“The sin itself carries its own penance.”

"Do you take the Lord's name in vain?"
"I'm Catholic. Of course I do, God dammit."

“What happened six months ago? I met Eleanor.”The timeline in this story takes readers back to when Søren first meets Eleanor. Being Søren’s primary confessor, Father Stuart Ballard, is no stranger to Søren’s past and his sadistic needs but he listens intently and offers his sincerest counsel. The friendship between Søren and Father Ballard is genuine and endearing.
“She…she makes me laugh. I feel human with her. I don’t feel human very often, but I do with her.
“No flirting wicked girl. I know I’m you’re type.” “I can’t help it,” she said. “I spread for Roman collars.”Nora’s confession occurs much closer to the present when she and Father Ballard meet in person for the first time. As coincidence would have it, it doesn’t take Father Ballard to identify Nora! What is revealed during Nora’s confession surprised me yet in some ways it wasn’t completely unexpected. Some of the missing pieces definitely came together in this deep and self-searching confession.
“You ought to cane him. I hear you’re good at it. The best in the business.”Breaking up the levity is Father Ballard’s wonderful sense of humor and Nora’s unfiltered thought to speech. I could listen to Nora in my head all day!

“I don’t know where to start,” Marcus said, a rare note of apprehension in his voice. But then…then he smiled and laughed and for one second he looked like a boy, not a man. A boy in love.I don't know how to write proper review about this. He's still Marcus so let's call him that. His confession really amazed me. Since his lost due Kingsley, now he's back to confess about Eleanor. Father Ballard is his confessor for years and he knows Marcus inside out too well. Damn I love this man so much! He's open-minded laid-back. So cool :D

“Is this your first confession?”Our Nora/Eleanor came to this specific person to confess her sin(s). It's kinda shocked me about her true feeling because she seems fine. Tough cookie, huh. It moved me a bit with her confession about Fionn and her heart. She feels 'divided' between Søren and Nico. This is the first time I know her heart.
“Not by a long shot. I have a priest I confess to once every few months.”
“But that wasn’t good enough for your mother?”
“She didn’t like my priest. Thought he was a sinner.”
...
“How so?”
“Because I’m sleeping with my priest.”

For Søren, his best is him being a responsible, caring and CAREFUL sadist. His worst is being the sadist he would be if it were suddenly proved the heavens were empty and there is no God. When he’s with Nora, God’s watching. When he’s with King, God is not looking. Or at least Søren hopes God isn’t looking.Well well, this is our queen. She really did wonderful job with this series. Without her, there will be no sinners. I really enjoyed with her 'confession' and the true facts about Søren ;) AND I was so glad that Tiffany didn't choose the NUMBER 21 for the ending! God (and Søren) forbid it!

“Love is never a sin. If it’s a sin it’s not love. And if it’s love it’s not a sin.”
Kingsley kissed me first. I punished him for it because I was too scared to kiss him back. I thought if I started kissing him, I would never stop. What if I never kiss him again?
Kingsley used me as a pillow. I loved waking up to find his head on my chest or my stomach or my back. He has long dark hair and he laughs when I pull it. That’s how I’d wake him up, tugging on his hair. The best days were the days his laugh was the first sound I heard. What if I never hear it again?
I was cruel to him because he liked it and because I loved it. When I told him he was beneath me, I only meant…I wanted him beneath me. Always. He left me. And he never came back.
“It hurts when we realize we can’t give everything to the person we love, that we can’t be everything to the person we love.”
Book Review: 5 Millions Stars
“Something tells me that loving your Eleanor will be penance enough.”
“Past and present, black and white, north and south, sinner and savior, all united in worship.”
BTW, Tiffany confessed all her sins in this book too! :D Her interview was awesome to read.
