অসাধারণ কিছু পরীক্ষা-নিরিক্ষার বর্ণনা আছে, প্রত্যেকটাই শিশুদের মনোজগত আর শেখবার ক্ষমতা বুঝে নিতে| প্রত্যেকটা পরিচ্ছদ এমন একটা পরীক্ষণ নিয়ে| পরীক্ষাগুলির উদ্দেশইয় ছিল কোনো একটা মূলনীতি যাঁচাই করে দেখা| মূলনীতিগুলির প্রত্যেকটাই খুব ভাষা-বিশেষ আর সমাজ-বিশেষের নিরপেক্ষ, আর তাদের বয়ানগুলি খুবই গণিত সুলভ| মূলনীতিগুলি পরখ করবার জন্য কি ভাবে পরীক্ষণ সাজাতে হবে, তার বর্ণনাগুলি খুবই যুক্তিসম্মত|
