I haven't read many compilation of short stories in my life but since the past month or so, quite ironically, I have come across most anthologies only, many of which turned out to be in line with my expectations. And after some mulling over, I decided to pick this one too as it has a different theme attached to it and written by some of the most prolific writers with outstanding designations and laurels attached to their names.

The dictionary meaning of 'Tabula Rasa' is absence of any preconceived idea. It refers to the clean state, just like a human mind is at the time of birth. Staying true to the title, the book is a collection of various tales, poetries and anecdotes that compels the readers to have a clear thought process which in the times of social media boom is most difficult to achieve as the keyboard warriors and meme makers can affect anyone's psyche considerably.

Starting from the very first tale by Lipi Gupta who tried to portray a camaraderie between India And Pakistani soldiers to the various other stories which give a different dimension to human mind, most of them are narrated well though the major shortcoming is many of them failed to evoke much sentiments or emotions. The themes of the plot or the subjects which are chosen are certainly really thought provoking but a bit of character driven style would have done wonders.

Still, a decent attempt to do something out of the league and full marks for the concept.
