Bizzy Baker Wilder is the owner of the Country Cottage Inn. Bizzy has a unique skill. She can hear thoughts of both humans and animals. Bizzy and Emmie are heading to Bea’s party. Emmie will be getting married soon and was telling Bizzy she was just going to grab a dress out of her closet to get married in. But Bea owns a second-hand shop, and Emmie spotted the perfect wedding dress. The only problem is, the dress comes along with a curse! A sign above it reads: “Beware all who desire to take this haunted frock home. You won’t have a peaceful wedding. You may not get married at all. This dress is cursed!” But Emmie really likes the dress and claims to not believe in curses -- should she perhaps be a bit more cautious this time?
When Bizzy can’t talk Emmie out of buying the dress, she goes to look for Arlene Scully so they can make the purchase. She sees Ryan and asks if he has seen Arlene, but he snarls at her about needing to find his aunt. Bizzy turns to leave and almost trips over a shoe, only to find a body attached! Bea Crabtree is dead! Arlene’s red floral scarf is tightly tied around Bea’s neck and an earring is attached to the end of the scarf. Jasper calls the sheriff’s department for additional help and questions Bizzy about what she saw. When Bizzy sees Arlene, she tries to keep her back as she tells her about Bea’s death. Arlene had seen the scarf and said she had put it behind the register. It looks like someone had seen that and may be trying to pin this murder on Arlene!
Bizzy will be ready, along with her feline (Fish), a sweet mutt named Sherlock Bones, and her handsome homicide detective, to track down the murderer. With so much going on with the party-goers, can she sort out the clues buried among all those thoughts?
I loved this book, foremost because of the humor. But Bizzy’s ability to hear those uncensored thoughts is such a clever “tool” for her to get information and to let the reader see the “real” character behind a possible façade. Join Bizzy and her friends in finding justice for Bea who was murdered during her 90th birthday party.
Raining Cats and Killers is Book 17 in the Country Cottage Mysteries Series but it can be read as standalone.

Raining Cats and Killers is the seventeenth book in the Country Cottage series. Raining Cats and Killers is part of a series, but could be read as a stand alone and you would be just fine. This series is about Bizzy Baker, a fun quirky Inn manager turned owner that loves her quaint little home town Cider Cove. While she is not your normal run of the mill manager, when Bizzy was younger and almost drown she gained the ability to read minds. This has been a blessing and a curse. It is almost time for Emmie’s wedding and she still hasn’t wound a dress and would be perfectly happy to pick out just any dress from her closet. Bizzy is hoping to help Emmie find the perfect dress so it won’t come to that. Before her big day they go to a friend, Bea’s for her 90th birthday and swing by her second hand shop where Emmie finally find the dress of her dreams, but with it comes a letter stating that it is cursed. Emmie doesn’t believe in the dress being cursed while Bizzy does. Of coarse just like always Fizzy stumbles upon another body and finds she needs to help solve the murder of her friend.

not going to make any happy. Bizzy stumbles up Bea, she was was murdered. Bizzy is really upset of the death of her friend. She is going to look into this. Her first suspects are her family members. They each are suspicious with they way they are behaving. Bizzy will have to try to keep everything to together for Emmie's wedding and track down the murderer. The person it is was the last person anyone suspected.
This book will have you hooked completely. There are so many quirky characters, the mystery and Bizzy herself. The only characters I don't like together are Huxley and Mackenzie. I can't wait to see what happen's next for Bizzy and crew.
I laughed out loud at Bizzys antics and mind reading situations. This fun story grabs you right from the start and will not let go. Fish the cat and Sherlock Bones the dog sure have plenty to say. Bizzy is helping her friend find a wedding dress and the one they pick is haunted. It does not stop there, though, as she also gets hooked with a murder. What to do, with the Inn totally full of wedding guests, and things falling apart. Loved the characters, the storyline, and the suspense and drama. This series is wonderful and you can not stop at reading just one. Well done.

Bizzy Baker is busy trying to help her best friend Emmie with her wedding. Things aren't going quite as planned and her wedding might even be cursed! That doesn't stop Bizzy and neither does a dead body. A local resident turns up dead and if that isn't strange enough, she has left everything to her cats! Thankfully, Bizzy has some feline help from her own cat Fish. There is never a dull moment for Bizzy and her crew. This is a great addition to this series. I always enjoy Addison and Bellamy's books!
Addison and Bellamy have done it again! We travel back to Cider Cove that makes me miss the coast of Maine that much more. With a wedding right around the corner and the need for things to go smoothly we see exactly how smooth that can be. This story kept me bouncing suspects and still shocked in the end. Between these pages are a mystery who done it and oh my goodness the laughs on the way, could only involve Bizzy. I can not wait for the next installment to To hang out with this crew again!
Attending a birthday can be murder! Bizzy is busy planning Emmie's wedding, but a murder in Cider Cove puts the wedding planning on hold. With the usual shenanigans that crop up when Bizzy puts on her investigative hat, the killer had better watch out. Jasper, Sherlock Bones, Fish, a couple of new furry cuties, and the rest of Bizzy's friends and family try to catch a murderer before Emmie and Leo's big day. Add a purported curse to the mix and Bizzy has her hands full! Enjoy this book from the Country Cottage Series that can be read as a stand-alone. Addison Moore does not disappoint!
Honestly, the kittens on the cover were what first drew me to this ARC! This is the first book I've read by these authors, and was pleased to see it was well-written and kept me entertained enough to read the book in one sitting. I will definitely be going back to the beginning of the series to catch up properly! I always love paranormal mysteries, and this one did not disappoint. Well-developed characters were a pleasure to read!

Bizzy is back again and this time her Inn is hosting a wedding. Nothing like having your friend supposedly having a cursed wedding dress and finding the killer of a resident who left money to her cats. With the help of Fish and Sherlock Bones anything is possible. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A haunted wedding dress holds first place in this tale. A old lady is the victim in this story of murder and mayhem. This is book number seventeen in this series. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
First book I have read in the series, and I will now read them all. If you enjoy cozies with humour, and an amateur detective that can read minds, you will love this book. Highly recommended.

What an incredible story. I love this series and the author does a fantastic job bringing to life a great story with every new book. The characters, the plot, it's all just right. Well done to the author. I'm excited to see what happens next.
Lots of butterscotch cookies and shenanigans leading up to Emmie's wedding. Bizzy has her hands full with extra cats and maintenance catastrophes at the inn. The pressure is on to solve the crime before Emmie walks down the isle.
All I can say is this is another great read by Addison. They seem to get better and better as they go along. I can not wait to see what she has in store for us next.

These books are so so good! I start to read a book, and I don’t do anything else until I finished the book! Page turning suspense and awesome characters. Best series I have ever read!
I really enjoyed this story. It is very unique with the characters. It does have a murder in it, but it is also funny. The story gives the animals a human quality that works great. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Title says it all. But I am so tired of Georgie the user. And how she allows her family to Colorado kind of things she’s such a weak person. But the storyline is good
Curses, murder, mayhem, and a wedding. The characters are wonderful and quirky. The plot is twisty and convoluted. The world building is superb. I can't wait to read the next book!
This is the 17th book of the series that I've read. The books are fun and I love the recipes. I will say they are starting to get redundant and I hoping the 18th book changes it up a little. But I'm hooked, I'm still reading them.
This was another great book, but I have to admit--Emmie and Leo's wedding and Ophelia's dress were the highlight of the story. The book and the characters were hilarious as ever and I so enjoyed it. Recommend reading.
