His son Tom was a softer type and he was sent east to get education, but he always felt he will come home. When his father gets betrayed and killed by one of his man Tom takes control of the Circle G and swears he will get vengeance against his father's killer.

An average book. Not bad but not one of Haycox’s best. For that go to Canyon Passage, Stagecoach to Lordsburg (from which the movie Stagecoach was made), Bugles in the Afternoon, or several others.
