I waited for this book to be a little cheaper for a year, but it's still over $40; granted, she does a wonderful job of giving you a lot of links to helpful things relevant to winning scholarships, but I feel a little let down by the contents. It costs the same as a textbook, but the content isn't very dense for what you're paying; I think $25.99-29.99 would be a very fair price for this, as the links are indeed helpful.

What I wanted in this book was a bit of the "what now" for the if/when you win a scholarship. Would I need to have a special bank account such as a 529 plan to receive scholarship money if they don't want to send it just to my personal account? What if you're applying for scholarships before you've chosen or rather narrowed down your university? She does go over how communication is key to ensure you get the payout to the proper account, so maybe I'm being nitpicky.

Something that got on my nerves a bit is that she ends the book with saying this book is not comprehensive for everything she knows about scholarships. I felt that it should be as comprehensive as possible, but she says to buy her online class. I feel that she could have better ended it by saying that the book is all you need to succeed, but if you want a more personalized coaching interaction, her class is also available. I don't know, felt a bit cheap to me.

All in all, it's full of good tips, but I don't know that it's worth the over-$40 price, and I didn't feel as if I was given a lot of information I haven't already picked up. For example, organizing my scholarships in a spreadsheet; great idea, but I feel that's common sense. Some of the categories were ones I hadn't thought of, though, so I'll definitely incorporate them into my own spreadsheet. The people who will get the most out of this book are high schoolers and college freshmen, but I am a 30-year-old return-student and senior at my uni, and I feel I could've gotten by without this. I stupidly haven't applied for scholarships before this, though, so...lol.
