Very clarifying, but I still feel like there are so many unanswered questions. Why did Lupin's father off himself? What discussion did Sirius and James have when he got mad about the engagement? How did Sirius cope internally with Reg's death? What was going on in Peter's head when he became a death eater? Did Mary ever go back to the wizarding world at all? How did Remus end up with Tonks?

I don’t really like the chapter is ended with, but overall I loved it. The last chapter is good, it just gives me a weird feeling leaving off on that. The ones with Sirius and James made my cheeks hurt smiling though, and I just love this story so much.

Posto che io con questa autrice continuo a dire che sono “un passo avanti e tre indietro” come la canzone, (perché la 4ª scena con James e Sirius era veramente brutta, James assolutamente out of character e fin troppo estremizzato e negativo), è anche vero che il resto quindi 5 scene su 6 erano molto interessanti. Lei ha sempre un modo di scrivere scorrevole e con ottime descrizioni per situazioni anche molto specifiche, tra il dramma e la peculiarità delle umorismo.


La prima riguarda i sentimenti di Hope prima di abbandonare Remus nel 1965:

“Remember this , she begged him, silently. I love you, I love you, I love you.”


La seconda è il primo bacio Wolfstar dal POV di Sirius che è sempre più silenziosamente innamorato. La terza è appunto quella sopracitata (che davvero sono scioccata l’abbia scritta così superficialmente💀)


La quarta ci racconta i vari traumi di Grant mentre cerca di vivere alla bell’è meglio nella povertà a Londra nel 1977, con sintesi sul passato di violenza e sull’omofobia che subisce quotidianamente:

“Grant rarely thought about feelings. At least the feelings he had. He’d spent so much of his life butting up against everything everybody else thought about him, that he rarely bothered with introspection.”💔

Grant was not a religious person - fuck that bollocks - but in the depths of his addled state, Remus Lupin looked just like a bloody angel.🥹💔🥹

“he caught sight of Remus and Sirius, sleeping in the opposite corner. God. They were both so beautiful, like a pair of statues. Peaceful and young and in love. Grant felt a dreadful pang. His ribs had stopped hurting, but his heart was still a blister in his chest.”❤️❤️




La quinta poi è la scena di San Valentino al 7º anno di Hogwarts (la Wolfstar passa dall’essere adorabile ad essere sexy😔✌️) (e comunque confermo il mio bi!Sirius headcanon, i riferimenti ci stanno tutti💋)

“Maybe Sirius was just easy going about affection. Or maybe he was too much of a people pleaser. […] It had never been like this with Mary, or Emmeline. No one had ever made him feel like this; like he could be taken apart and put back together again, new and better than before.”💖💖

“Bloody love Valentine’s day,” Remus grinned, resuming kissing.
“I bloody love you”, Sirius thought, out of nowhere.🤎




E infine addirittura una sesta scena originalissima, che immagina l’infanzia di Greyback quando viene trasformato in lupo mannaro, figlio di un cacciatore di lupi e che si vendica delle violenze del padre. Wow, solo lei poteva scrivere con creatività su un personaggio odiato da tutti ahahahah.

A parte quell’unica che è stata veramente fuori luogo -quando nella FF sembrava molto più normale e spontanea-, le altre sono state tutte interessanti.
Io sono una grande fan dei contenuti extra con i libri e, anche se ATYD è una fan fiction, essendo molto lunga vale lo stesso il mio entusiasmo. Sono proprio piccolo intermezzi da altri punti di vista rispetto a un testo più complesso🙌🙌

i cried at hope's chapter
i enjoyed reading all of them (the greyback's one was really painful and hard to read but it was good portrayed and i loved it) but i adore "padfoot & prongs" and "valentine's day" the most for obvious reasons

the fact james couldn't care less about sirius' relationship with a boy, BUT he was uncertain whether moony'd get hurt bought me whole
