First Lady Naomi Fox loses her husband, and she might quite possibly lose the church he dedicated the last five years of his life to. Being a young widow comes with challenges. One of which is – will she ever love again? Kaden Monroe and Ryan Brown, two men who cross paths with Naomi, are ready to risk it all to find out.
Loved this book...it delivered a powerful message but allowed the characters to remain human and show their growth as Christians...I look forward to reading more from this author
I loved Naomi and Ryan’s Life Together! Only God’s Grace could provide another blessed marriage after being thoroughly loved in the first marriage. The scriptures were befitting for each situation, and the characters, moods, and issues were detailed as well resolved appropriately. I enjoyed this book and it was well.written.
This book emphasized to me God’s grace, mercies and blessings still flow even in the traumatic sessions in life. Those sessions require that you trust him and not wallow in grief and I forgiveness, but be open to healing and the future he has for you.
I could definitely imagine Naomi getting stuck in her grief and cocooning herself in pain, but she continued to move forward even when she experienced those overwhelming moments.
Kaden learned to let go of the pain of betrayal, recognize his faults and forgive and seek forgiveness. His journey is definitely an eye opener for married folks. Sometimes we blame the other person and don’t take ownership of our own. Forgiving and letting go of the pain and moving forward instead of seeking refuge elsewhere is a hard path, but tapping into a joy of reconciliation of not just two people, but a village is a bountiful blessing.
I love they way Naomi addressed Claudette with compassion and grace and they way that Claudette received it. It should that we strive for perfection in Christ in our humanity, but are able to share God’s love and grace when we are able to walk a higher path and be used by him. That situation could have gotten extremely ugly, but they both let God have his way. It does make me wonder how I would have addressed it (easy opportunity to let the “flesh” take over instead of God’s love and mercy).
Reading this book now has been timely because I have also been reading the book of Ruth and seeing God’s grace and mercy in hard times has just been the theme of this month for me. Thank you for this reminder!
This was a great read. I have enjoyed all of the books I have read by this author. This book was well written, the plot, character development, and the climax were executed perfectly. I got intrigued from just reading the synopsis and had to download the book.
I was glad that you paired Ryan and Naomi together, I felt like he were meant for her. He was sincere in expressing his feelings through his actions. He made sure to right any wrongs he made. I was upset when Kaden did not let Naomi know his true relationship status. I thought that was very immature of him. I have to be honest, once Ryan and Naomi was solid I did not want to read about Kaden anymore. I wanted him to fade to the back. I am glad that he got his happily ever after as well, he deserved it.
A magnificent read and I most definitely recommend it. You will enjoy this book, especially the personality of Ruth, Naomi's sister. Naomi deserved this second chance at love after the sudden death of her first husband. She got it and more with Ryan. I was also low key hoping that Ryan and Naomi decided to expand the family. I think it would had really made an unbreakable bond between the two. Another girl would have help even out the family.
This is my first read by Khara Campbell and I loved it! This story took off fast and the ride was great! There were times I did kind of side eye a character or two when they 'seemed' out of pocket, but then it hit me . . . as a Christian, life 'gets real' and the walk gets a little rough - there will be some shaking! While folk got ruffled, they were able to catch themselves in time - before a total slip of the tongue, etc. - althought there is always THAT ONE!
I'm glad that Kaden and Naomi landed where they did - I COULD NOT see that union! Great story, I loved the charachters and I'll definitely check out other reads by Ms. Campbell!
I couldn't put it down. I loved the storyline and especially the ending, that all the characters were able to get alone and be true friends. I really loved Naomi character. She was down to earth and she walked by faith
This book had a nice easy flow, something to just get comfy with and let the storyline take you away. It evoked all kinds of emotions but I just couldn't tear myself away from this story. Loved all the scriptures, you know the ones you rely on when going through life. And because there was some drama, it was a reminder to act or react Godly instead of worldly. But this was not a preachy book, more like an inspirational reminder. Loved the second chance at love and especially that these grown folks practiced celibacy. Ms Campbell brought all this to a well executed happy ending. Really good read that I highly recommend.
Love this book from the beginning. I cried when Jonah died. Input myself in Nay's shoes about how I would feel if I lost my husband. I feel like we have a lot in common as both my husband and myself is in the ministry. I was glad she chose Ryan and I enjoyed and respected their commitment to God to wait for marriage. I like Karen also and was happy he reconnected with his wife. Thank God for her strength and determination to fight for her family. Beautiful Story.
Thank you Ms Khara Campbell for another classic story with beautiful characters. The verses of the bible were a blessing ,timely and inspiring for me. I was happy for Naomi and Jake, not forgetting Karen and Claudette.. True love never fails. Our Lord always gives us opportunities to redeem ourselves. God of a second chance.
Khara has done it again! You can't go wrong with any of her books and this is another one that did not disappoint. Reading this book will tug at all of your emotions...from sadness through loss to happiness when the main character learns to let go and love again. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but can promise this is worth every bit of your time...download or buy today!!
This was my first time reading by this author,I enjoyed the book, the characters seemed believable.I was glad Kaden got back with Claudette, and Naomi and Ryan found one another.
Loved this especially the end. You can do some real plot twists. Every time I think I got it figured out (in a good way) you flip it. Nothings worse than the same story with a different author. You kept it entertaining with the ups and downs.
I'm so glad you spoke to everybody, especially forward women. This is a book for today's and yesteryear generation. You don't have to go out of your for a man. The Bible clearly states he who findeth a wife, no she who chases a man. God's timing is the best time. You first have to be wifey material, then God will send him your way.
This was a great story by Myers Campbell I have red her stories before and have not been disappointed This story dealt with grief, betrayal, jealousy and wrong thinking and forgiveness s The main characters Naomi, Ryan, Karen, Claudette find that God loves them The author gave us a story that leaves us feeling that if we let Him God will Turn the wrongs right and He will give us the desires of our hearts if we trust Him Great job and enjoyable read
First Lady Naomi Fox was married to Pastor Fox. Pastor Fox was killed in a car accident. First Lady was concerned about losing the church her and Pastor dedicated their life to. Naomi is so heart broken about losing her spouse. Kaden was Naomi’s high school sweetheart, and she runs into him at their class reunion. Kaden is separated from his wife and believes that him and Naomi can rekindle their love. Ryan is a contractor who comes to complete some work at Naomi’s house. Ryan is attracted to Naomi at first sight. Is Naomi ready for love again? Awesome read.
I really enjoyed this book. I made me realize that love really comes on God's time, you just have to wait and keep the faith. Need a part 2. Let the kids grow up more and show a holiday event with everyone including Karen and his family.
Another home run by K Campbell! She never disappoints. I was hooked from beginning to end! So relatable! I fell in love with Naomi, Ruth, & Bailey! The take away from this great read is forgiveness & restoration...WONT HE DO IT!!!! 5 stars are not enough! Can’t wait to see what this author has in store next!
I enjoyed this book. I loved how bible verses were quoted when the characters were faced with different situations. Naomi truly maintained her composure a lot. It truly showed she was a woman of God because old Wayne was completely out of line on many occassions.
Good storyline. Loved the characters. Especially Wayne. 😊 This is the second book I've read by this author. I will definitely be checking out her other books.
Really enjoyed the characters, their faith and the well presented plot. The scriptures lent welcome reminders for life and the temptations thrown at you throughout life. A great read without gore or unnecessary vulgarity.
I love the realness of the characters. Saved, but not perfect. Very relatable!
Great story. I love the prayers and scripture references. I love the realness of the characters. They are saved, but not perfect. It makes them very relatable. I highly recommend this book and the author. I can hardly wait to read the next one. Godspeed!
This book was chosen for our book club. I enjoyed it an would recommend to other book clubs, single parents or anyone interested in a Godly relationship and marriage. There was interesting conversation regarding women pastors. I like the way you dealt with replacing the deceased Pastor and the Pastor's Widow true love for the church and God's people. Her pride did not get in the way.
This is the second book I have read by this author. I loved it. There were laugh out loud moments, angry moments, ready to put some in their place moments and happy moments. Pastor Wayne and Cassie had serious problems. Glad Kaden worked out his marriage problems. Ryan and Naomi was awesome together. I have learned from experience a past relationship is just that sometimes, PAST. Kudos to the author👏👏👏👏👏👏
