The Black Knight's Key
In this 10th book in the Key Mystery Series, Nick, Mandy and friends are excited to be staying at an ancient castle in Scotland. After hearing about the legendary Sinclair treasure, guarded by a mysterious White Lady, the children set out on a quest to find it. Someone, though, is desperate to stop them. Is it the ghost of the Black Knight, killed in battle in 1302, and still roaming the glen on his horse? Or his fierce war hound they hear howling on stormy nights? Perrow has written another winning addition to the Key Mystery Series with The Black Knight's Key.
By taking the adventure of Nick, Mandy, and friends across the Atlantic to the magical and legendary local of Scotland we get to explore (and learn) even more with this exciting and addictive series. With her clever attention to historical detail, Perrow weaves interesting facts into the fun and action packed story. My kids and I loved the medieval aspects, the always engaging characters, and the ghost lore. (My youngest especially liked the ghost dog, and my oldest found it to be a great pick-up read.) As always, the pace is just perfect, and each chapter hooks you and pulls you along.
We love this series and look forward to each new book the author writes. They are so much fun!
