Corn Maze kisses. Pumpkin carving. What more could you want at Halloween?

Matthew Warner's been a Chicago Bears fan as far back as he can remember. What other team was a young bear shifter from the Smokey Mountains supposed to root for? When his college friend gets tickets to the next home game, Matthew jumps at the chance for a holiday. It's his favorite time of year and Nic promises him pumpkin carving and a visit to the world's largest corn maze, what more could he want?

What Matthew doesn’t expect is finding out the defensive tackle for the Bears is his mate. Between fainting at the realization, meeting family, and dealing with the media fallout of his mate's coming out Matthew is in for a hell of a rocky Halloween.

By far the best of the three book series! I really enjoyed the story of Matthew and Hudson. What is not to love…a big, bald, furry, NFL Football player is one of the characters!

For anyone who has ever fantasized about one of those big strapping football players, imagine if you went on a trip to Chicago, and while there discovered that one of those players was your fated mate!

This story at times had me smiling and even chuckling, and the storyline was well written. I enjoyed the characters, even though at one point I wanted to reach in and shake Matthew…

My only disappointment in the book was that although the characters from the first installment are mentioned in this book, there is no mention at all of the characters from the second installment. I like reading series books, but I would have loved to see more of a tie in between the three. I kind of feel like we’re left with snippets of a much bigger story revolving around the bear shifters of Gatlinburg.

I’m going to recommend this particular installment to anyone who is into bear shifters. This is the longest installment, and my favorite of the three. I think you’ll enjoy it, and it could easily be read as a standalone since it doesn’t tie back really to the earlier installments.

I cannot begin to tell you much I enjoyed this book! From the beginning, getting an insight into Mathews' life and how he longed for a mate. To the description of Hudson *fans self*. Everything about this story was great. I Love Matthew's friends Lisa and Nic and their interaction with both Hudson & Matthew. Lisa cracked me up big time, in fact there is a certain line she had that I went back and read over and over..it is that good. The romance between Matthew and Hudson is heart pounding and *whew* you will need a fan when reading. Perfect is all I can say.Highly recommend this book. Now I am off to find more of Toni's work.

This is not one of Toni Griffin's better works. It is formulaic using the tropes of "fated mate" and "ordinary person in a relationship with a celebrity". I kinda liked it at times, but the everyman character, Matthew, is so confusedly depicted that I couldn't even tell whether he was supposed to have a mental health condition. Mind, I like romances with a character that has an accurately-depicted mental health condition, but this was so badly done that I couldn't tell what the author was trying to convey.

I think this story could have worked had the author given it 100 more pages, focusing on characterization and how the insta-love of the fated-mate trope developed into a substantive relationship where the lovers could truly "be there" for each other. Sadly, that's not what happened and this is a very forgettable, generic gay shifter romance.

Matthew was emotionally and mentally weak. He was a disgusting wimp. Hudson deserved a better mate. The story was too short. There wasn't enough relationship development for being fated mates and spending several days together.

I'm a huge fan of shifter books, and I've really enjoyed this series of Bear shifters. I like the instant recognition of the mates, and the way Hudson is immediately ready to tell everyone, reactions be damned. The secondary characters are also well written and integral to the plot. Thoroughly good read.

4.5 Stars I loved A Bear's Bear, this is the third installment in the Smokey Mountain Bears series and it is such a great read. The chemistry between Hudson and Matthew along with the dynamics between the other character is well written and keeps you engaged throughout. Do yourself a favor and be sure to add this to your TBR list I hope you love it as much as I did.

It was a lot of fun to see the surprise that was in store for both Matthew and Hudson. It was so hard for Matthew to be in the spot light and you can't blame him for his reaction. But it was great to see the love that is developing and much Hudson will do to make Matthew feel special.
