Aww, sadly this book didn’t dazzle me. There is lots of potential for a good story as the premise was reasonably interesting but it was poorly executed. The entire book is lacking in action, expressive description, conflict, emotion, twist and turns and suspense. Each character sounded the same and this book could have been any ordinary book as the vampires were too human like. Too much dialogue and not enough narrative. The writing and storyline is very basic and simple. Part two was better but still not great.
I can be thankful though that the characters from the first three books finally materialised again although it wasn’t until after the 80% mark, which is part two of the story, was starting to think the author forgot about them.
I prefer a fair amount of action, and a good amount of descriptive language in the vampire books I choose to read, unfortunately it lacked in both. It sucked (pardon the pun) that the debauched vampires only played a tiny part in this book when surely that is what the story initially is supposed to be about, I know next to nothing about them… AND, I was hoping to see the debauched Bloodsuckers and the Lepidoptera Vampires engaging in conflict longer than half a page.
Although I wasn’t impressed or captivated by this story, other readers might enjoy this light and uncomplicated book as this is only my opinion.

Many thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy of Crestwell for an honest review.
