There's one chapter on word of mouth selling, which says "word of mouth selling is great becuase its free and markets for you, and it works well for multilevel marketing".
Yyyup, thnaks for that. Any advice on how to get word of mouth happening... no? Right then.

The books main premise is that marketers should focus on the thing they can control, ie making contact(s) with customers. Yup, great. Any ideas on , y'know helping people to buy stuff?

Genunely I think this guy knows nothing about sales or marketing and has eked out a career from talking about marketing.

This book got me thinking differently about sales, but also confirmed a few beliefs that I had kept to myself. "Finally!" I thought, after closing the last page, "Here is an author who destroys the sleezy label of the salesman."
WOMBAT Selling punches the 'ABCs' (Always be closing) mentality square in the face, and does so with a cheeky smile. An easy read and even better when you get a chance to meet the author in person and dig deeper into the anecdotes.

This is a whole new way of looking at customer service and the ability to influence a purchasing decision. Well worth the read.

Interesting concepts from a well respected thinker yet the book is not an easy read. I agree with other book reviewers on this point.
