Kinley
I enjoy sex. Get over it. Are we living in the dark ages, people? I swear I’m going to murder the next person that calls me Kinky Kinley. I’m thrilled with my life choices, except for when I see the look on J’s face. I care what he thinks, probably too much. My adorable, nerdy, sexy best friend means the world to me. He’s my happy place and my safe place and everything real in my life. Could he ever see me as more than just his hot-mess childhood buddy? No, right? That’s crazy talk.

Jaxon
Focus. Work hard. Don’t fall in love with Kinley again. It seems pretty simple, right? But my gorgeous, warm, funny best friend draws me in every damn time. I don’t have a shot with her, and I never have. I’m her boring dork, and she dates hot, muscled assholes—so many of them. I need to stay in my lane and focus on the women I actually have a chance with, and I definitely shouldn’t sleep in K’s bed when she invites me to hang with her in Hawaii. That would just be asking to have my heart shredded.

Super cute, steamy and sweet best friends to lovers romance. I read this in one night and really liked it. I'll definitely be checking out more of Nikki's books as her writing was super easy to read and the characters were relatable.
Just what I needed to get me out of my reading slump.

Kinley and Jaxon have been best friends since Kindergarten & have both been secretly in love with each other since then. Neither one of them ever had the balls to admit anything to the other for fear of ruining their friendship. Years later after a breakup with his girlfriend, Jaxon visits Kinley in Hawaii and everything changes...

This is the sweetest opposites attract, friends-to-lovers, second-chance romance 😍 I loved the way Nikki wrote the book from a dual POV with flashbacks scattered throughout. I really enjoyed this unique style. This is my first read by Nikki & I couldn't get enough. Jaxon & Kinley have amazing chemistry & their intimate scenes are 🔥🔥🔥 Fine, Dork is a light, fun, steamy read that you'll love!

4 Stars!

As I've said in the past, I've tended to avoid books under 250 pages, but nerdy male leads are like catnip for me! Nikki Paris is a new author to me, and I look forward to her future books!

Kinley - nicknamed 'Kinky Kinley', she's never been short of boyfriends, but the only constant man in life is best friend Jaxson. Apart from a single kiss years ago, they've never crossed the friendship line. However during a group trip to Hawaii, she starts to see Jaxson in a whole new light. Or has she always felt this way and been too afraid to act on it and ruin their friendship. Plus surely he doesn't think of her in that way? Maybe the love she's had for him since they were children has always been more than platonic?

Jaxson - loveable (and hot) tech nerd, who's always loved his best friends Kinley. It's broken his heart over the years to watch her with her many boyfriends, but he loves her too much to break their friendship. Plus he also has to deal with his terribly judgemental family, who have always made him feel like he's not enough. When a little flirting on holiday starts to lead to more, will he risk his heart again? Could she love him the same way, or is it just a holiday fling for her?

It has a few flashbacks, which I'm not a huge fan of, but they did give you more understanding of the different stages of their friendship over the years. I knocked a star off because there wasn't any real conflict, but it's still a nice and saucy friends-to-lovers book. Definitely worth a read.

Cute romance novel!

Fine, DORK by @nikkiparisromance
.........
“Don’t fall in love with Kinley. Don’t fucking fall in love with Kinley. Don’t. Do. It. Jaxon.”
.............
This book was so cute! I seriously had heart eyes the entire time reading it 😍 Kinley and Jaxon are the perfect best friends to couple troupe. Being best friends since they were in kindergarten what happens when they cross the line into lovers?
..............
“Jaxon was a part of me. He was wrapped up in every inch of my existence. To detach myself from J would be to tear myself to shreds.”
..............
I was given the ARC for this book. This book was written very well and you could feel the passion and love Kinley and Jaxon have for one another. Their banter was funny and they had a great sense of humor. There was complexity in their relationship and how each of them needed to find themselves in order to truly be together. I loved the friends aspect of the book as well, being that their group had been friends for many years, it was great to see that. All in all a great romance novel.

Jaxon and Kinley's story is the essential best friends to lovers book. They met when they were in Kindergarten... the unlikely pair... the nerdy boy and the popular girl. J was always waiting in the background while K moved from guy to guy not realizing that the right guy was always by her side. A getaway with friends gives them a new look at their friendship and everything starts to click. Add in some jealousy and insecurities on all sides and they finally get their HEA.

I really felt bad for J. Although he should have spoken up sooner, the love that he had for Kinley was what every girl dreams of. Kinley was a bit of a mystery for me. We know she's the quintessential party girl who never really fits in... but why? We don't get much background on her.

As always I love the story development in all of Nikki's books and I love that the title is always the center of the story.

This is a fun romance about 2 people that are very opposite but have been best friends since they where 5 and how their love has grown and changed in 20 years.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Kinley is the wild child, always partying and traveling for her job as a photographer with a guy at every destination. She has loved J her whole life but doesn't feel like she's good enough for him.
Jaxon has grown up in a high pressure home with the perfect older brother and parents always expecting better. K was is only sanity in his life, he loved her from the beginning but never felt like he would be fun enough to keep her happy.
Then Hawaii changed everything, but will it last or distroy them in the end.
I loved the back and forth from past to present and Kinley's philosophy as a kindergartener on why they would be best friends, creating the beginning of there names for each other, so sweet.

Fine, Dork will have you in "a big gooey love mess" from beginning to end with this best friends to lovers story. Nikki Paris wrote the perfect blend of sweet hopeless romantic mix with steamy and hot.

My husband and I were best friends to lovers and I related so much with Kinley in this book and my husband remind me so much of Jaxon.  It was easy to relate it with because it's such a everyday romance that could happen to anyone you know like you, a family member, or friend. Their story as a couple and their story as individuals was just so down-to-earth.

Fine, Dork was such an easy read that it didn't feel like dialogue, it felt like my best friend was telling me her/his story.

If you want a light hearted, so sweet you get cavities, love dovey with a HEA this book is for you.

This book was so good! The characters were interesting and their story was a cute one. They grew throughout the story. Kinley was fun and a bit crazy, in a good way, and Jaxon was calm and relaxing. They seem like opposite people on paper but they have this nice vibe to them. I liked them as best friends and like them even more as lovers. Their story was different. They were together but the author decided to continue with their story to show all the little bumps and slides of their relationship. I liked this because I got to see how they ended up. I hope to read more by this author. She’s got an amazing writing style and while the bad words aren’t needed, they didn’t bother me too much.

Light. Fun. And so dang cute!

J & K .... y’all just stop it with all your cuteness! This sweet little story was just what I needed to pick me up after several days of snow and gloomy skies. I just loved Kinley and her spunky personality, and Jaxon was the perfect character to complement her. This was a friends to lovers story, and I really enjoyed how surprised K was when she discovered all these little secrets J had been hiding (AKA bedroom skills 🤣). Best friends that always had a platonic relationship takes a turn, and their relationship begins to grow. This was lighthearted and fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I read this book within two sittings and what an easy, enjoyable, sweet read.

Best friends to lovers, with a pining hero - a great trope which lets me get the feels...

I recommend this book to anyone who wants a simple read where the characters are not too deep, nor too superficial. I am definitely excited for what the author will bring out in the future and I will be diving into the other book Nikki Paris has written.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Kinley and Jaxon have been friends since childhood. He has always loved her. That love has changed and grown stronger over the years. She loves him but cannot see what is right in front of her face. These two have a rough road from friends to lovers. But love wins out in the end. I thought it was well written. I enjoyed the characters and their story

Kinley and Jaxon are best friends and have been since they met at a very young age. He's kind of nerdy and she's part of the popular crowd. Jaxon has loved Kinley for a long time and has been there for her as she moved from guy to guy. She finally sees him as the man for her when he visits her after a breakup of his own. Will they both admit what they feel?

This is a very good story about friendship and love. Jaxon and Kinley have been in love with each other for so long but didn't act on it by fear of running their friendship...it was good reading how they discover that the most durable and best romantic relationships are the ones that besides having love and passion also have friendship and complicity.I really enjoyed this story.

I am quickly becoming a fan of Nikki Paris. This book is about Jaxon and Kinley. They have been best friends almost their whole lives. I love their friendship and how they had to overcome everything from his parents to exes. The pace of this book was so fast that I didn’t even realize I was on the last page until I got to the end. It also made me smile so many times.

This author was completely new to me

I really enjoyed this book, it was a sweet, enjoyable and easy read. I loved the relationship between the 2 mc’s, Jaxon & Kinley. i really enjoyed both pov’s,i like getting both sides of the story! I loved how fiercely loyal both have been towards each other their whole lives. I found myself swept up in their lives and getting frustrated at them for taking so long to get asses into gear and reveal their truths!!
This for me was the ultimate friends to lovers story and i would highly recommend you read this!!

This was quite the sweet yet steamy romance. Kinley and Jaxon are such likeable characters, and I thought they were both so strong but with so many insecurities (which makes them very real). They have such great friendship between them and I really enjoyed how comfortable and cute their banter it, and how super sizzling hot their chemistry flares. Their friends make me laugh and I really enjoyed this story.
