The deal is to protect her, but I'll do more than that. I'll save her.

Jennie

I can't remember that last time I saw Earth. All I know now is red sand, cruel aliens, and silence. Getting sick from some alien virus damaged my vocal chords, and it's painful to even say yes when my captors ask if I'm hungry.

I don't know what my future holds, but I've always had a sixth sense about things. That's why I know when the blue alien with orange hair and black gloves meets my eyes, that my life is about to change. I just don't know if it's for better or for worse.

Fenix

The only way I've been surviving through the chronic pain of my mutation is the drug, Kixx. I hate what the addiction has done to me, but what I resent the most is that I've had to barter with a lowlife Rogastix for my supply.

One day, he shows off his new property — a human female. He makes me a deal to protect her until he can exchange her for a healthy supply of Kixx of which I'll get a lion's share. But I'm a Drixonian Warrior somewhere beneath my melted skin and raw nerves. Now matter how badly I need the drug, I won't let her be sold. I'll get her to safety, even if it costs me everything.

Fenix is a Sci-Fi Alien Romance that features a fire-starting alien who craves touch even though it's painful and a patient human female who knows foreshadowing when she sees it.

Firestarter alien!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💜❤️🤎🩷
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌏
Character development: 🤓😀😘🤩
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Jennie - she was a Koren-American doctorate student, who had been abducted from Earth a long time ago and had been through hell since. She had been trafficked from place to place before arriving on an awful desert planet, where she caught the Rath virus, and spent days near death with a high fever before it affected her vocal chords, leaving her unable to speak without pain. Since she recovered, she has been chained in a cage and owned by a Rogastix drug dealer named Bezmir who plans to sell her.

The Heroes: Fenix - Rexor rescued Fenix from the mines on the desert planet, he was scarred and in pain constantly and didn’t know who he was at first. When he finally figured out that he was a Drixonian that had been experimented on by the Uldani. He had fire coming from his hands which is why he was thown in the mines unlike Rexor who was sold as a gladiator, Mikko who was thrown in the pit, a prison, and Xecri was enslaved in a pleasure house. They wanted to get revenge on those who caused their horrific existences.

The Story: Rexor and Mikko had found their fated mates and left the planet to go home to Corin, since the Drixonians now welcomed them. Fenix couldn’t leave the planet because he had an addiction to Kixx, for his pain. Xecri promised Rexor that he would never leave Fenix, and he had a secret mission he wanted to see completed. Fenix needed to get off the Kixx as it was destroying his body. He had a choice though to destroy his mind because of the pain if he kicked the Kixx or destroy his body with it. One day when he goes to his dealer for some Kixx, the dealer offers to exchange a bunch of Kixx for him to deliver some cargo that needs protection along the way to exchange the cargo for a large quantity of Kixx. The cargo is a bruised and broken human female locked in a cage.

Fenix is in charge of protecting the human while Bezmir and his crew go to the place where the exchange is being made. I liked how Jenni became a strong woman while on the road and even was able to kill one of the large aliens that wanted to kidnap her. She also took care of Fenix when he collapsed after using his fire power to fight off an attack on the group. This book has everything—harrowing survival, gripping redemption arcs, and a heroine who refuses to stay broken. Jennie's transformation from captive to warrior is compelling, and Fenix's struggle with pain and addiction adds an intense layer of emotional depth.

I could relate to some of the themes in this book since I have chronic back pain after having seven back surgeries, including two spinal fusion surgeries. For a long time after my first few surgeries, I relied on pain meds to help with the pain, and it wasn’t easy to stop. Though Fenix was lucky that even though being touched was painful for him, it turned out that being touched by Jenni not only didn’t cause him pain, but it took away his pain. If only I could find someone like that. Only in a romance book, I guess.

This audiobook was narrated from multiple perspectives, done in dual narration by Oliver Highpoint and Rachel Woods. Oliver Highpoint has a clear, pleasant voice. Though he isn’t one of my favorite male narrators, he is darn close. Rachel Woods also has a decent voice, though there is something about it that grates on my nerves a bit, but not enough to make me stop listening.

This one was good, but not as great as I was anticipating. I guess I just expected Fenix's story, given his background and what he has had to contend with, being paired with someone like Jennie, who has her own heartbreaking present; to be much more poignant and passionate in the reveals of their journey together. But it was just nothing that really stood out for me here.

Story was a good one, a few plot holes though and the editing left much to be desired, but overall it was a good read. I was pleased with how this one ended for everyone involved.

I'm heading to the final book in this series, Zecri. Hoping it's just as a great as the first two in this series... The Drixonian Warriors series and this Spin off of the Stolen Warriors are awesome series. I would recommend them both, but highly encourage you to start with the original series first, before coming to the Stolen Warriors.

This is hard to rate. It started out as 50000 stars and then the whole thing with the alien zoo happened and shit just got a little bit weird for me. Plus I felt like Fenix had been tortured enough and I just didn't like reading about it getting worse.

I'd rate it 3.5 but I'm rounding up to 4 because the first half of the book was epic and I adored poor Fenix and loved his woman's fight to stand up for him. One of my fav romance tropes 😭

I had a hard time getting into this one, because ... frankly, the characters were dumb. So many of the awful things that happened to them were avoidable if they just got their shit together. They float along, doing what Captain Human Trafficker says, as if that's a good idea. And it is pathetic when you know the Drix MMC could literally wipe the floor with the whole lot of them and take their ship for himself.

Also, I have to say that in the fantasy landscape, I don't have tolerance for you not killing an enemy after he attacks you and you stop him. If one thing is universally true in all books, it is this: the bad guy you decide to let go will ultimately come back to hurt you. Always.

So this was meh to me, because the leads were dumb. Just totally, completely, utterly dumb. Like, they have half the intelligence of a glazed donut. To illustrate my point, I share this gem: FMC is hiding from the enemy they didn't kill (eyeroll). She sneaks into MMC's cage. HAS SEX WITH HIM right there where anyone could come in at any moment. Runs to her hiding spot when they hear people coming. But stays just barely inside it (this air vent that she's been moving around the ship on, so like, not a cubby where there's nowhere else for her to go) so that said enemy can grab her and pull her out.

So if you were wondering how dumb they are...? That dumb.

I think Fenix's story is the most heartbreaking of the Stolen Warriors.
*****
Rating: 4 stars
Steam: 3 flames
Genre: Sci-Fi Alien Romance
*****
Fenix is one the four Stolen Warriors. The Drixoninan warriors that were experimented on by the Uldani and those experiments failed….and then they were sold to another race of aliens for horrible reasons and have suffered immensely.

Fenix is in the most pain. I mean physical pain every day because of his modifications. Any form of touch is excruciating. The only saving grace for him is a highly addictive drug that is slowly taking his mind. The pain is eating away at his body, and the drugs are eating away at his mind. He is in a constant state of agony. That is until he sets his eyes on a little human woman, Jennie Kim. Will she be able to change his life?

Jennie Kim has been captured by bad men and is being sold off for Kixx...the highly addictive drug that keeps Fenix’s pain at bay. She is in a cage, treated poorly and she is recovering from a serious illness that has destroyed her vocal cords, so now she can barely utter a whisper.

Jennie and Fenix were a great pair. Jennie is the only one that can tough Fenis without pain and that was heartwarming/breaking all at the same time. Fenix has been starved for affection for many decades and to finally feel pleasure instead of pain, is a miracle in his eyes. Could the Fatas have sent Jennie to heal him?

They have a tough journey ahead of them, many enemies, and many roadblocks to overcome to getting to safety. Sometimes it feels like the cards are stacked against them. Can they figure a way to escape, with both alive, and maybe and HEA? You will have to read the book to find out.

I have loved all the Ella Maven Drixonian Series and the Stolen Warriors are not different. I definitely recommend and if sci-fi aliens are your thing please give this a read.

This one I inhaled!!! It was delicious!!!
If I was already overwhelmed with Mikko and thought this is the best story of one of our Drixonian, I am with Fenix devastated and sky-high jubilant at the same time, emotionally totally fleshed, happily moved to tears at the end.
This roller coaster, oppressive cruelty squeezes the stomach, down and fluttering butterflies carry you up high.
The story, the structure, the perfectly complementary couple, terrific characters, the drama and velvety romance - perfect, beautiful and so far unmatched great - that's at least 7 stars and for me 10. Deeply touched I am grateful for this wonderful book!

Haven't had access to my computer for a couple of days. So, here's a fast review.

I really enjoy these books. The protective heroes, the strong women. I especially love when they make it back to Corin and meet up with the other Drixonian's and their mates. I love visiting the older couples.

She's also going back to write about more Drixonian's so, I'm pretty excited about that.

The resolution to their rescue was a bit abrupt but overall, enjoyed this story.

This one was probably my favorite or Maven’s Drix Warrior series. Fenix’s character grabbed me from the start and Jennie’s practical sensitivity won me to her character as well. The story was more original than the others in the series (they are all a bit formulaic for my preference), so I appreciated the extra thought that went into bringing Fenix and Jenny together amidst unique challenges.

Tears of Joy

This is going to be my favorite book of the series. I was crying tears of joy as it ended. Fenix really deserved his happy ever after. I felt his pain for everything he went through and was so happy that Jennie was so loyal and wise. I’m going to be one unhappy reader when this series ends. The characters, the world building and the storyline just keep me addicted.

THE worst book in *BOTH* series. And it sucks, because it had the potential to be the best.

Fenix is a Drix warrior who's been altered so as to be able to shoot fire out of his body. The problem is that it causes him insane amounts of pain, also manifests in short term memory loss, and has resulted in a nasty addiction to a pain med called Kixx.

Jennie is a half-Korean/American human stolen from earth. Fenix makes a deal - he'll protect/deliver Jennie as a 'package' in exchange for a lifetime supply of Kixx. Except females are precious to the Drix, and he cares more about Jennie than he does about himself and that damned drug.

The MAJOR PROBLEM with this book is the absolutely unbelievable premise that he can't be touched by anyone - not even his own kind - without searing pain. But *JENNIE* can touch him, and it's 'soothing'. ???? Um...? Why is that? Nobody knows. It's because Maven SAYS so. It's such a horrible cheat, it destroys the book. Now if her touch after they did the cora-eternal thing was healing, that would've been AWESOME. And there would've been tragic love and some really interesting dynamics to their relationship, before that. But nooooo...

The next problem is that Jennie caught an alien virus that decimated (but not) her vocal chords, and she can't speak. Which would've been an intriguing twist to play with, too... except Maven immediately has her start whispering, then speaking in a hoarse voice, and by 81% she's screaming. Seriously? Why bother, then? I mean, Fenix is the one who talks non-stop because of 50 years of solitude - he DOESN'T NEED her talking. And Maven has her speaking when she doesn't even HAVE to - just banal crap that would've been fine to have left off. And then she doesn't want Jennie to speak, so she re-damages her vocal chords, but then starts screaming again like right after that, and after the post-cora-eternal-orgasm *VOILA!* she's insta healed. That... *sucks.*

The other problem is that Maven's voice was narrating the story, not Jennie's or Fenix's. She wasn't selling the characters in this one, I was reading HER voice. That really messes things up. Worse, the spelling was so atrocious in this book, I'm beginning to wonder if Maven doesn't speak English as her first language. That bad.

There are blatant contradictions all through the book, too. On page 139 the hilbob says, "I hate the Prinze", and on page 144 she says, "He's really not so bad." Which is it? And then we have the climax scene, in which Jennie is tied up before the bad girls/prinze in their chamber and the hilbob is cowering, and Fenix is chained next door... but then Maven has Jennie taken to the cell level - WHY!?!?!? - so that the bad girls/prince, hilbob, and Fenix can all make their way there for NO apparent reason, to finish the scene. WHY?!!? It doesn't follow.

And I'm pretty pissed that Fenix is 'healed' and no longer has fire, after the cora-eternal thing. Rexor still has his wings, Mikko still has his shooty-machet things... but Fenix is *POOF!* healed? C'mon, stop cheating.

The ONLY thing that bought this book one star was the mention of my favorite 'B' alien - the gold dude I'd wanted for Justine. But no... there won't be a story for him. We have to go to Zecri, next. Because he's *Drixonian*. ((sigh.))

I love Drixonians the freedom fighters or the stolen warriors doesn't matter they are pure blue deliciousness💖

Fenix I swear is the most tortured by pain and mental abuse that he is still a warrior capable of loyalty, love and honor after what he has been through is amazing. The pain of what the Uldani did to his body is killing him and the o my thing that offers temporary relief is an adjective drug called kixx . He hates taking it but it's all he has. While on a resupply mission he finds a human woman and he knows the minute he sees her that he's not leaving without her. That he'll do whatever it takes to free her. Jennie was abducted by spa s traders Be sold. Then stolen by a drug more only to find out she's being sold again . She was perfectly happy studying psychology to become doctor now she's just a human slave until she meets Fenix, talk blue deadly and oh so 🔥hot and I mean that literally and figuratively. She's recognizes Fenix's pain and can't believe how gentle he treats her and how safe she feels with him. Together they do their best to take care of one another and keep each other safe. The universe see.a out to get them because every moment seems like a frying pan In to the fire dangerous situation. What they are willing to do for each other for heart melting . But it the sense of healing both mentally and physically that makes this couple special and their relationship beautiful. Another can fabulous addition to the series! I highly recommend it!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘

Ever wondered what it would be like to copulate with one of the aliens creatures from the movie Avatar? Then these are the book for you!

This author is absolutely brilliant! They have balanced the perfect amount of action, adventure, desire and romance. I have read every single book in this series (Drixonian Warrior Series), including every book of the each offshoot, and cannot wait for the next one to come out. This book in this series is one of those offshoots. While staying true to the Drixonians we’ve come to love, this series adds a bit more with the warrior’s advancements; one can rage and fly, one can create fire with his hands, one can throw and regenerate his spikes, and the 4th one?.. you will just have to read and find out for yourself. There are a numerous amount of editorial errors throughout each book, but not enough to take away from the experience. I have even read a couple books twice because, well, holy hotness!

I will add, however, with a bit of disappointment, that while each book has different characters with different outlooks, each outcome is exactly the same. Boy saves girl, boy has issues about his past that prevents him from “claiming” girl, girl has exact same issues, girl saves boy somehow, “Fatas” gives both boy and girl matching wrist tattoos that mark them as mates, boy and girl finally accept their feelings for each other and live happily ever after. That’s the bases for each and every book. Still, I will read it over and over again with a sense of fulfillment.

All I have left to say is, “She is all!“

Alien abduction PNR with darker themes

This is the 3rd story of the spin-off series from the Drixonian Warriors series. Although it is not necessary to read the original series before beginning this story, I highly recommend the spin-off series be read in publication date order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers due to reoccurring characters and an overarching theme.

Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, adult intimate scenes and violence such as kidnapping / abduction, human trafficking, assault, torture, attempted rape, assault, fighting with some to the death, etc.

There are multiple grammatical issues, but nothing that I wasn’t able to interpret or understand. Otherwise it is has a dynamic universe that continues to expand and develop with the addition of each new story, interesting characters and strong storyline.

Jennie is a human female and Fenix is a Drixonian warrior who was captured by their enemy, experimented on, and enslaved to work in the mines. Based upon the modifications made to him, he suffers from constant pain and cannot stand the touch of another without a crippling amount of pain.

The dependency leads him to become dependent on an illegal drug, which is used to control him. Fenix’s dealer needs him to guard a shipment for a cut of his drug of choice. Fenix doesn’t really have a choice, especially when he sees exactly what the shipment is … Jennie.

Jennie was abducted from Earth and then got sick from an alien virus that has damaged her vocal cords. The result of that is that it is painful for her to even say yes when asked if she is hungry and she is stuck with a red sandy planet, cruel aliens and silence. So when she sees a blue alien with orange hair and wearing gloves she just knows that her life is going to change. Drexian warrior Fenix was experimented on by an alien species which went wrong and so he lives with chronic pain that he can only stand using the drug Kixx. He hates that he has to take ait and what addiction is doing to him and that he ends up having to barter with dealers like Rogastix for his supply. Then one day he shows that he has a human female in his possession and Fenix protects her for him he will receive a healthy supply of the drug in payment. But Fenix is determined that he will not let her be sold no matter how much he needs the drug, it's just a case of how much will it personally cost him. Can he rescue her?

I enjoyed this story which had the twist in the amount of pain he was in and what he could do that caused that pain. I loved the trust that developed between them and that Jennie was strong enough to defend herself and even him during their worst moments. I was thrilled when they finally had moments of happiness and joy together even though things might not have appeared that good. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

"I knew as soon as I saw you that Fatas kept me alive for you. You're my purpose. So, you have to stay alive. What would I do without you?"

5 stars!

I don't know who gave Ella Maven permission to write such an emotionally beautiful story, but damn did I love every single word! I've loved Fenix since the first book in this new series, and I just wanted to wrap him up in the softest furs and hug him while he prushed softly. He was such a vulnerable and broken character, but he still had honor and immense strength given everything he has survived.

I loved how Fenix and Jennie interacted together as they were both so gentle with each other yet unable to stem their passions and protective instincts. Even though I was not prepared to be emotionally wrecked by Fenix and Jennie's story, I have to say that this is one of my favorites by Ella Maven out of all the Drixonians so far! The brotherhood and love between these Stolen Warriors were so amazing to witness, and I cannot wait to dive into Zecri's story next as I have a feeling it will be just as heart-wrenching🖤

Tropes: fated mates, forced proximity, tortured hero, kidnapped heroine, he falls first, 'touch her and die' vibes, alien abduction, witty banter, chronic pain rep, self-medication, band of brothers, found family, sweet and STEAMY🔥

absolutely loved!!

Oh my poor fenix! I was so excited to get fenixs book. Watching his pain and addiction to kixx in rexor and mikkos book was heartbreaking. He is so sweet and almost has this innocence about him that the others indulged due to the sufferings he has survived. Experimentation, unimaginable constant pain, isolation and complete darkness for a prolonged period. Fenix has horrible hands dealt to him. He really needed a break. And Jennie was his chance. Although they had trials and tribulations on their course to a HEA they both definitely deserved one another. Jennie after being abducted and peeped to be sold/bartered for goods was treated horrifically. But she still looked at the positives of how fenix looked out for her. They clicked immediately and he truly took to the ‘she is all’ mentality. Coming to his assignment of bodyguard with supply’s that would be considered basic human essentials. He treated her like a person not property. I loved watching their relationship evolve and It was so painful to watch fenix slowly lose himself to his pain and meds he was forced into while captured. Can’t wait for the next book.

This was the book I was looking forward to the most in this series! And it didn’t disappoint.

Fenix is an incredibly interesting character, with his struggles with a drug addiction and his pain from the experiments on his body, he’s continuously beat down by the world but still keeps fighting. I appreciate his dedication to his friends, like he was adamant that he wouldn’t leave Zecri behind. He also really shows himself as a strong and capable protector, like his demeanor slightly changed when he interacted with those who were keeping Jennie, he seemed more stern and powerful in those moments.

Jennie is also a great match for him. She’s observant, which makes sense with her studying psychology, and she’s able to pick up on the Kixx drug addiction situation without judgement just from watching the buyers come in. She was a great asset to Fenix, who needed someone to really believe in him and show him that he’s not worthless just because of the changes to his body. She’s also quite brave, matching him in the fact that she doesn’t really want to hurt anyone but is willing to stand up for herself and others.

Great read, I really loved it!

I know I say this every time, but Fenix is definitely my new favorite! There were actual tears at parts of this book. This is the most emotional one yet and it made me love it all the more.
Fenix is one of the Drixonian warriors taken and altered by the Uldani. He's left able to create fire from his hands but also in constant excruciating pain. He's surviving by taking an alien drug that is killing him a little less quickly than the pain. Jennie was stolen from the earth and taken captive. She contracted a virus that's left her barely able to speak.
We've got our two broken MCs who fit together so well. And I loved them both. There are some twists and turns and heartbreaking moments in this one, and it's definitely the most emotional Drix book so far. I love getting to see more of the universe unfold in these books, and I love making all the little connections between books.
As always, our old favorites show up in this one too. I hope we get even more of them and an update on them all in the next book! I'm so excited for Zecri's book!!

I enjoy the stolen warriors (not as much as the Outcasts of Corin) but they are good stories for those who can’t get enough Drixonians in their life.
The story was different than the others because it takes place on a different planet than the rest and their challenges are different. With the Stolen and the Outcasts we usually have a Drix who thinks he is not good enough and he has to learn that he is. This couple was more separated by outside forces not stubborn internal ones.

What I didn’t like is I got a virgin Drix who has never had an erection before and was never trained in the arts of sexual pleasure yet… he was able to last and get her off.
“I don’t know how to handle what I feel for you, and I don’t know why my cock seems to have its own plan as to how our alone time should go.”

Virgin rating:
Innocence of virgin hero: 5/5
Innocence in losing it: 1/5
Build up to losing it: 3/5
Hotness of losing it: 3/5
Busted touching himself: no
POV of losing it: female

This book includes an Asian human woman (I believe she was adopted by an American family) who was abducted by aliens, and held to be sold off to other aliens, and one of the Drixonian warriors who was abducted and experimented on, Fenix. Fenix can now expel fire from his hands, which causes him constant pain that he needs a drug as a pain reliever.

When Fenix is tasked with taking Jennie to trade her for drugs, they work to free themselves and run into many different alien races. Along the way Jennie is put into a zoo for different aliens, and Fenix is shown off as a freak in a freak show.

The adventure was very long and a lot of things happeend, but ultimately they become "cora eternals" or fated mates, and Jennie's touch helps Fenix get over his alterations/constant pain. Not my favorite of the Drixonian books, but not bad. Definitely has some different aspects of a standard alien abduction romance.

I'm not sure what it is that makes me not give this series a 5-star rating, but this one was really close to it.
Honestly expected to be a little more emotional reading this book since Fenix had the worst story of the four aliens, but Rexor was still the most heartfelt book thus far.
I'm glad to say the books on this series continue to bring different approaches to the same basic plot and each installment has its own uniqueness.
This was a great third book and I'm looking forward to finishing this series with Zecri's story. Speaking of which, the moment I was more emotional during Fenix's was when he said goodbye to his friend.

Okay…I really loved this one too! I just need to give Ella Maven props again for her world creation because she has created three separate worlds and has done such an amazing job creating them and putting them to paper that I truly have an image of it in my head. I now need to credit her for her ability to make every day problems that we see here on Earth and making these ‘aliens’ more relatable.

I think these books continue to get better and better (and I have a feeling that will be the same with the final book) but man this was a roller coaster of emotions for me and I honestly did cry a few times because of how heartbreaking Fenix’s story is. So much hurt and pain and yet you still see him trying to think of the good in his situation. Truly one of my favorite books yet in this series

I also have to say the bonus epilogue with the hilbobs was everything I needed in life!!

Admittedly, this one is my least favorite so far of this series but still enjoyable.
Fenix didn't have as much spunk as Mikko and same for his LI, Jennie. Who also can't speak, so this is a big barrier for the couple when it comes to emotional bonding imo. Yes, Fenix staunchly defends her from the beginning, but I felt a lack of real emotional connection between the couple besides the dangers he saves her from.
On the plus side, this to me had far less gore than the previous 2 books.
I did enjoy the side character that comes into play in this book as well.
I'm hoping to enjoy Zecri's book more!

Also, kindle randomly decided to delete all my highlights before 50% so not bothering to share any :/

Flaming Romance

Excellent plot, with a thrill a minute. This is the third episode in the Chapter of the Stolen Drixonian Warrior Romance. And the Stolen Warriors Romance is the second Chapter in the Drixonian Warriors Saga. This whole saga has been so entertaining to my imagination and unlike some authors, I never feel like an episode in boring because of formula. Most episodes I have given 5 stars to, but this one like the last one had too many typos to rate a perfect 5. I would like to add that unlike so many Indie Ebooks, I was able to fly right over the errors. The story was that engaging. I love the heroes in this saga, because they are so devoted to women. "She is all!"
