It cannot be avoided as we walk in this broken and sinful world. But we don’t have to live as victims, we can still live joyfully and victoriously through these things. It is a choice we must make and we must constantly remind ourselves that we are called to be atmosphere changers – people who impact the world and culture around us. We can make a difference!This devotional is a 28-day challenge to reset our thinking, a reminder that we are world changers and not victims of our world.

About the author

I was born on a warm summer day in the early hours just 2 days after Christmas. I spent my childhood keeping to myself having discovered reading and writing early.

After graduating high school with honours and achieving the Springbok Scout Award (Similar to Eagle scout), I ventured into the interesting and wonderous land of academia at the University of Witswatersrand where I received by Bachelors of Commerce.

A few short years passed by and my creative love of painting, drawing, writing short stories and poetry gave way to a successful career in business. Something was missing, so I signed up for a Bachelors of Arts specialising in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of South Africa.

By day I run a large division in a multinational African IT firm, by night I dream up world unimagined and put paper to pen to bring those stories alive.

Now, I balance being a senior leader in business, being a writer, being a church leader with my love of skateboarding, watching movies and television series, reading and writing.
