For a book on beauty and skincare, many of the interviewees seemed to have a disdain for actually using beauty and skincare products. Minimalism is all well and good if that's your cup of tea, but I was hoping for a lot more diversity in opinion and advice. If I hear one more recommendation for gua sha and getting up early to do yoga and sip on organic green tea I might just throw up.

On the other hand, the design of this book is absolutely stunning. Hats off to all the wonderful photographers and to Shira Barzilay for her illustrations. The aesthetic it gives off makes me wonder if this would have been better as an artsy interview series for YouTube or similar, as it's a lot more visually appealing than actually containing helpful content.
