This brief book of advice from one of the professionals, David Yarrow, was just the right length for a how-to guide, so to speak. I love that he didn't choose to talk about aperture, depth of field and all of that; more the elements that draw people in rather than a technical guide. One of the issues I have with books of this nature written by the big boys (or girls!) in the field is that it's sort of beyond the everyday Joe. I'm not going to get to Tanzania or Iceland. My photos are in my backyard. That being said, Mr. Yarrow is insanely talented and obviously very passionate about what he does so it was a good read and the pictures were beautiful.
