I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

It was my first attempt at a novel from ER Harding, who is in this story tells the tale of a young man of a wealthy family on earth, Sander Van Houten, whose father decided to send on the moon to take a position, instead of nursing him to become his follower in the family’s business.

Sander who has profound knowledge of computers and Artificial intelligence quickly realizes upon arrival, that something is amiss with the AI running the whole lunar colony.

After talking to the main computer Sanders discovers the AI has become not only sentient but somehow able to bear human feelings. Sanders understands that this could mean the dismiss of the existing AI human relations’ structure and his attempts to warn his superior about the dangers of the situation are met with contempt.

This is a fast pace novel, well written with some humorous situations. Although a little bit short to my taste, it is very pleasant to read even if I am not too keen on short stories. Unfortunately at the end, we are left with a cliff hanger.

I would advise reading it and I am eager to read the next one of the Metaform Novella.

This is the prequel to the Metaform series and was given to me by the author.
Sander, the son of a rich daddy, has discovered that his daddy’s business is not as lucrative as it once was and there is no longer a place in it for him.
His father has decided to send him to an Earth colony on the moon as a peace keeper. Sander doesn’t want to go but realises that it’s one way to loosen the hold that his over-protective, affectionate mother has on him.
It’s only for five years after all. How difficult can it be to get by for that length of time without his parents help?
When he arrives, Sander discovers that all is not as it seems.
The teenage children of the Lunar Fourfour Station have been taking Gem, a drug that can occasionally have serious consequences, and have been communicating with Zeke, the station’s AI system with disastrous consequences.
This was an enjoyable read that leads on to book 1 of the series which is next on my to read list.
