Is someone hunting paranormals in Haven? And will Kat be next?
When the Sheriff confronts earth witch Kat Sullivan with a strange letter, it’s just another day in Haven. Until she finds out her partner-in-solving-crime, Chance Wilder, is missing. He’s no stranger to bending the law and has more than a few secrets up his sleeve, but are they bad enough for someone to take him out…permanently?
Kat’s stuck with only a handful of leads and a human police department that doesn’t even know the half of it. In the background, a secret organization is hunting down people of unusual supernatural heritage. People like Chance.
She’ll have to team up with not only the police but the Wilder siblings to track Chance down and bring him home. But with a bigger plot boiling just below the surface, can they rescue him before it’s too late — and without revealing their magic?
If you like humorous paranormal cozy mysteries full of snarky cats and sassy witches, then grab a cuppa and curl up with Tricks and Trials , book four out of six in this action-packed series. These are clean reads with no swearing, gore, or adult situations, so curl up and enjoy!
PLEASE while there is no preorder link at the end of this one, the series is not over! There will be two more books coming out later this year, but I need to prepare some things first. Thanks for your patience <3
Looking forward to more and hoping Kat has a "Chance"!
The mystery this time is almost torturously labyrinthine...and there's not even a murder to solve! Chance is missing, and Kat will do almost anything to find him. There are so many questions, like moving puzzle pieces, to complete the picture. Why would Sheriff Cooper suspect Kat could solve this mystery better than he could? Why would Kelly ask the Sheriff for help, and if she didn't, how did he get the note? Is the PEA correct about the veil, and is it being done purposely? And what exactly is the "official-looking letter with the seal" about? There's some mighty fine storytelling from the author at work here, and this reader suspects the puzzle is not completely assembled; the next book in this series can't come fast enough!
Trouble follows Kat around Haven whether she wants to get involved or not.
This installment finds her tangled up in assisting the police in an investigation. With her familiar close at her heel they jump head first into the mess and untangle it the best they know how.
It was great to see Kat use magic that she normally wouldn't, and come to terms with a few personal growth items.
This book answered a lot of my werewolf questions, but opened up a few more questions that I can't wait to read about in the next book.
This series is light hearted, easy to read in a single sitting, and always makes me laugh.
When the Sheriff asks Kat to help find Chance, she has no choice but to drop everything. We learn a lot more about the secretive Wilders in this book and a lot more about Kat's mom and dad. Lot's of twists and turns and even a surprise date. On to the next book!
I liked this series. Book 3 to me was a little short. The other books Kat talk to her gal pals more and asked other people if any rumors. When describing feelings, areas and things happening they are to the point and not take 2 pages to describe an area. ☺️
Love the characters in this book. Love paranormal mysteries . This one has love and friendship humor and excitement. Can't wait for the next book. Love the authors description of places and people. Its like being there.
This was just crazy! Helping to find Chance and the rest of his family puts Kat into so much danger. Flash storms, lightning strikes, mud and an avalanche, I mean, whoa! Definitely kept me reading. I can’t wait for the next book to come out!
