“It’s an easy job.” He continues, as if Louis wants to listen. “Like I said, a few trips. Parties, students, nothing dramatic.”

Louis gazes over to Harry. He’s looking thoughtful now, eyes on the green like he’s talking more to himself than Louis.

“Clubbing, drinks. Whatever, the business is just a side thing.”

That’s not how Louis remembers it to be, “You lying?” He honestly can’t tell.

Harry shakes his head slowly, meeting Louis' eyes.

“No,” He answers almost toneless. Harry clears his throat, “I won’t put you in any dangerous situation.” His voice is sincere, Louis can tell he means it, his jade green eyes glinting with truth.

Absolute beautiful written and well thought story. I think the characters represented themselves good through the story even though I think Jays sudden change of thinking was a bit confusing and in the end i was still left a bit unsure about how or more why she changed her mind. I also would have wished that the story of how Harry ended up in the Mansion with Ed and how that grandpa got that address even though his granddaughter also died there. Also confusing was the story of how Harry and Louis then got into the other gang under winston which is also a bit unclear for me why they did it. I mean they knew how bad it was in a gang and that you'll never get out of it and so on, so why did they made the decision to go back and do the exact same thing? I know that in the book they say they didnt have any more money but there should be other ways in france to get that.
The end was a bit rushed, but i think thats okay because otherwise it would have stretched out too much. The other points i made didnt bother me too much and it only where parts which where hard to understand, in a book with 900 pages thats normal ig.
But i really liked the writing, and the communication they had, often larry fics especially on wattpad, smaus or one shots are base on lack of communication which here wasnt much the case. Of course there were things they didnt tell eachother but this didnt led to arguments all the time and they always had in mind that they have to communicate in order to not misunderstand each other. I also liked how they always tried to get the other one to talk, without pressure but also not ignoring it which again leads to great communication.
Also this is a very important topic the author is writing about which she greatly adressed and built in her story. I liked they way she put it in, how she showed the good and bad sides, how hard it is to get away, how one person can change it, how hard it is to ignore the need of your body even if you know its wrong, how easy you get addicted when only hanging with the wrong ppl, how restless and reckless it can get you and how hard it is for yourself to accept that ur and addict and have to stop. Pretending to be good even though you arent.
Overall i would recommend this book but i have to say for me its on the longer side of a book so you'll definitely want to pull trough that.
