" مالم تشمل رحمتك نفسك، فهي ليست كاملة " كتاب يحمل الكثير من النصائح المباشرة ويمنح ايجابية لابأس بها، لكن تأثيره محدود حيث انه لا جديد يضفي إليه وليس للعنوان عمق في الكتاب.
A quick, easy read if you want to inform yourself about mental health. Though I was aware of most things but it was nice to be reminded of it all. Would recommend it if you want to be more aware about mental health issues, or even if you suffer from them.

really helpful book tbh, i was going through a lot but after reading this. i felt so much better. normally my hard days would turn to hard weeks but now my hard days last for just 2 days and i feel okay and like myself again. as this book taught me it really is okay not to be okay at times. no one is perfect and we all have tough days but the best way to get out of this is to get through it. it's okay to lean into people as much as you need for help. it showed me benefits for the self-care things recommended in this book <33
My first nonfiction for such a long time I can’t even imagine when was the last time I read one! I’m not sure why I ended up reading this book when of all people, it’s me, myself and I, who has been very adamant on the thought of reading ANY material of self help because I do not understand the need to do so. Honestly, I’ve been replaying thoughts on my head on my take of self help books if my opinion will be asked. So allow me to set the record straight, for me, in my own little world, I find it insulting of a human capacity in living one’s life. Why do we need to be directed on what to feel or how to do life when within ourselves we have answers in all of our questions and doubts. We even have our own decisions already, even when we indulge ourselves in asking the opinion of others. I mean, we were born with the highest form of intellect to be able to survive so why do we need ‘instructions’ for that matter?
Edit and continuation a few weeks later 😬 But then when I finished this book in just a couple of hours, I came to realize that there are things that is subjective towards a person’s perspective, some guidance or realization that needs to be served in a silver platter through these self-help books. Yes, it is not easily accessible if we take it objectively thus the silver platter.
Since the passing of my Step-Dad, I decided to venture into books which discussed mental well-being and advice on dealing with the emotions associated with and experienced during times of grief. While this book has some lovely quotes in it, I didn't feel like it addressed any particular advice in any depth nor did it really suggest any advice I found profound. Not a title I would return to again, although it is a book which is easy to dip and in and out of and a very short/quick read.
This book gives a basic, general overview of all things mental health. It’s easy to understand, accessible & encouraging - I especially enjoyed the ‘quote’ pages throughout. Probably not much value if you’ve read a lot of other mental health books but a great introduction to mental health for those starting their journey.
It's a quick and easy read, and very informative as well. This is a good reference for people who want to understand mental health and mental illnesses because everything is explained in layman's terms. There are also helpful tips on how you can help yourself in recovering and healing from mental illnesses as well as how to function daily.
It's really sweet and catering! It gives you brief talks on some mental health issues and then ways you can personally solve it with techniques. Don't get me started on the layout! So cute and inspirational with quotes about life filled in the book :)) Took it from the library but i think I'll just have to get this!
A good BASIC intro to mental health and wellbeing. Given its small form factor, it is not, and can not, be anything more than superficial. It contains a good range of places to look for support if you don't know.
Wouldn't buy again in retrospect. It's not worth it. Just watch a 10m YouTube video and move on.
Lovely little book with information and guidance around good mental health. Really easy to read and digest information. Easy pick me up when you need to remind yourself to look after your mental health
Amazing. I would recommend this book to everyone. It helpsnyou understand yourself and others, helps understand different mental illnesses, how to combate some and includes helplines for anyone who needs them.
Nice little book for a quick read on mental health. It's very useful if it's the first time you read anything about mental issues and some coping mechanisms/activities. But it's not super useful if you're already familiar with these. I enjoyed reading tho :)
A well written short read on mental health Anyone who needs information on mental health should read this book This is a book I will keep on my bookshelves to go back to when I'm having a stressful or a off day
Very easy and quick read. I read this in 20 minutes with my morning coffee. It is a feel-good pick-me-up, and a good reminder of healthy practices, but definitely not ground-breaking.
It’s a good book to start with. I appreciate the author having lived through some history, I did find comfort in the moment of “what not to say to someone grieving”
If you have difficulty accepting yourself for your setbacks or bad circumstances lately, this book is for you. I keep reading this from time to time to remind and practice being kinder to myself.
