Dancing with a Vampire

Rate this book
I’ve been seeing human Jenna Parker for months even though she has no recollection of our encounters and has no idea I’m a vampire.

Each weekend, I seduce her in the same club then, after an incredible night together, I scrub her mind of all memory of me.

However, I can only erase her memories a number of times before the process has lasting, detrimental effects.

The next time I see her will have to be our last night together, but I don’t know if I’m willing to give her up.

When I learn that Jenna has an earth-shattering secret of her own, it has the potential to change everything…

Dimitri and Jenna have been hooking up on Saturday nights for months now. Dimitri has been erasing her memory of him as Vampires are not allowed to tell humans they exist. Jenna is a witch that his mind control or the erasing of her mind does not work. She does not tell him this as she has always known he was a vampire. This is the last time for them to be together Dimitri thinks because he doesn't want to mess up her mind from too many erasings. The doorman Rick is a wolf shifter and has taken a fancy to Jenna also. Jenna does not return this. Dimitri and Jenna dance for a while together and they leave the club they met in. While on the way out they start to get hot and heavy. Rick stops them and tells them to leave. They go outside and continue. After the steamy time, Dimitri realizes that Jenna said his name and he never told her tonight. Jenna confesses she is a witch with no powers. Dimitri is a bit upset she kept this from him. As they are talking about it a low growl comes from behind them. When they see it is RIck they both freeze. Rick attacks Dimitri. Will this fight be to the death of one of them? Will things be ok between Jenna and Dimitri? Check out this book along with the others in this series they are great.

Dimitri Moreau is a 300-year-old vampire who has been connecting with a human for months now. He meets Jenna Parker in a club, seduces her, and enjoys their wonderful night together, after which he erases those memories from her mind. But he can’t continue doing that before it begins to harm her and damage her mind. So he will have one last time to spend with her, then he must walk away, unless he is ready to make her a vampire as well – and she would probably hate him for that decision. It was odd, though, how his desire for her never lessened.

Jenna also was having thoughts about Dimitri. She was ready to find love and commitment. A relationship was more than the physical – they had that part under full control. But she wanted to spend time with him and get to really know the man. Was it time to confess her own secret to him? How would he react to her hiding the truth? There were so many questions, and she wasn’t sure what his answers might be…

This was a good story with some decisions the characters will be forced to make. Grab your copy and find out what choices are left to them or if they have nothing more to hope for.

I received an advanced ARC copy of Dancing with a Vampire by Amy Armstrong from Booksprout to give my honest and unbiased review freely.
Dimitri Moreau is a three-hundred-year-old vampire who is secretly rendezvousing with a human, Jenna Parker. Every Saturday night for three months they have been involved in a steamy love affair that Jenna does not recall because Dimitri wipes her memory of each encounter. Unbeknownst to him the mind wipes were ineffective because of Jenna’s witch heritage. Thinking that Jenna was human, Dimitri was going to make this their last interaction. However, a frenemy from his past in the form of Eric the werewolf doorman at the club they frequent decides he wants Jenna for himself. Fortunately, Jenna saves the day by retrieving her long dormant powers. The book was very easy to read despite minor noun/pronoun placements. The characters were deep and easily relatable. I loved the storyline and character dynamics. Great storyline from start to finish.

I really liked Dimitri and Jenna. The chemistry is amazing, and although it's a quick read, the plot is well developed. It was very descriptive, and I could see them dancing seductively on the dancefloor and every step they made afterwards. This could make an great full length novel. I took off a star because two chapters are basically copy and paste, one from Dimitri's perspective and the other from Jenna. Everything is repeated with the exception of a few lines of inner thoughts. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

Dimitri needed to end his relationship with his human because he was too attached and didn’t need to swipe her memory many more times. Jenna knew Dimitri’s secret and had one of her own. The night Dimitri planned to end things was the beginning of his and Jenna’s exciting and interesting romance as secrets were revealed and they were faced with danger they overcame obstacles neither one knew were possible.

Dimitri and Jenna have an interesting relationship. They had a regular Saturday night rendezvous for months and had some very steamy nights together. Dimitri has a secret, he's a vampire but little did he know she had a secret of her own. I liked that we got both sides of their story. This is a short, steamy story with characters that have an intense connection and an unexpected twist that held my attention until the last page. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I liked seeing this story from both sides and seeing the same event from both sides which leads the reader to a twist I for one was not expecting. For me the story could have been developed a bit more but I believed in their connection and chemistry and enjoyed seeing them together.

These two have a strong connection, even months prior to this story. He might want her but she’s human and can’t be mind wiped again but one more night he will take. But in the alley she screams something she wasn’t supposed to ‘remember’ but she did and he wants answers.
Needs to revised because words are not placed right and should be re-read and re done.

Hes been erasing her memory after each visit, or has he? These two need to be honest with each other to find their hea. An enjoyable novella.

Short and very, very repetitive. Entire chapters were basically repeated word-for-word with just the POV changed. The author’s bio at the end of the book had more original content then the entire book itself.
