He might be my boss. He might be charming, gorgeous and single. He might be everyone's Mr. Perfect. But for me, he just flips all of my damn switches every single time! And his latest request is no different.
Pretend to be his girlfriend?! Me?! His secretary? Out of the whole female population that exists on this planet? He asks me? The only female who he knows is absolutely oblivious as to what makes the great Mr. Boss so Great?
And I am supposed to sell this to his ex?! Did I mention he wants revenge on his ex? No? Well, that's going to cost him a pretty hefty amount. Because this girl is not working for free!
So, my biggest issue with all of that... how am I supposed to act like I love him forget even like him? Like who would be dumb enough to fall for him, Especially when his heart belongs to another already. Definitely not me! Not in a million years. The saying about never saying never? Nopes. Totally will not apply to me!
A STEAMY HOT ROMANTIC COMEDY WHERE FALLING FOR THE BOSS IS KIND OF INEVITABLE... at least for everyone but our sassy little heroine (that’s what she told me to tell you but... you know...).
Each book in this series is a standalone and can be read in any order. And don't forget, we are team HEA all the way!
Lindsey Hart specializes in sweet to extra hot and dirty romance and strongly believes in happily ever after. If you are looking for a page turner, then you are in for a wild and naughty ride with feisty heroines and alpha male heroes.
Highly entertaining, action packed and engaging adventure filled with exciting charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and thrilling passion. Really enjoyed this emotionally thrilling journey.
Not at all it is what i thought it was!! I don’t know what my expectation was but How can a full book revolve around only 3 days, nobody fall in love in 3 days!!!!. No i don’t like it not going to recommend it. 2⭐️ because of a few funny moments otherqise no story no character progress nothing.
Love, love, love this book by Lindsay Hart about Adam Fino, a 34-year old CEO of a sock manufacturing company and his Assistant Stephanie. I couldn’t resist either main characters with their quirks and all. He’s been divorced from his ex-wife, Ex-Stephanie as she is referred to. Not only did she break Adam’s heart, she received a huge settlement, and still he seems affected by her leaving, so much so that he devotes most of his waking time to work>. It was a cute storyline with Adam’s proposal for Stephanie to act as his girl friend at a campground over the weekend that will be attended by his ex and her new, younger boy friend, and in turn she will be paid handsomely. Emotions run high as the old spark between the two develops to a roaring fire. There’s plenty of laughs and tears, sweet romance and steamy sexual chemistry as Adam and Steph can’t keep their hands off each other and they decide to see where their feelings can take them. All goes well until they run into Ex-Steph, and Assistant Steph has to earn the money Adam promised her for her play-acting. I deemed this a 5-Star Book, even before I read the heart-melting Epilogue

Adam was a great boss and Stephanie did almost everything for him from picking up his lunch , buying his underwear and everything in between. But they were not an item so she refused when he asked her to accompany him on a weekend camping trip. He knew his ex, also named Stephanie would be there so he needed a fake girlfriend for cover. He upped the ante by offering a $5,000 bonus and when she negotiated it upward she had no choice but to go. The weekend was hilarious and had mishap after another. They both were great characters who were wonderful for each other. He was so supportive and built up her low self esteem and she let him know how wonderful he was. It was a slow burn romance that will warm your heart. Well written and entertaining. I read a free arc via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to write a review.
I received a copy from BookSprout; this is my honest review. -The craziest office romance so far in all of Hart's books. -I loved Adam and I loved Stephanie but not ex-Stephanie - she was out of this world - and unfortunately there are many people like her. Ex-Stephanie was already rich; why want another 60M? -The whole book reads like someone is thinking out loud with no filter and it's ridiculously funny. More Stephanie than Adam, but he's also witty, especially when he thinks about the next sock design. -Be prepared, everything is about socks! "If you're wearing a nice pair of socks - ones that are comfortable, warm, and feels like a hug - then it's hard to be an a******. Clearly, they needed socks."
Loving Steph: Proof That One Woman’s Trash Is Another Woman’s Treasure
It’s one thing to mistakenly call a new girlfriend by an ex’s name, but how much more challenging is it to have an Executive Assistant who is acting as a girlfriend to fool an ex-wife, and they share the same name—Stephanie? But, that is the situation in which boss Adam Faro when he finds himself being drawn to Executive Assistant and fake girlfriend Stephanie.
Billionaire sock king, Adam, had led a protected life of private schools with a few close friends and family trips to the Alps and other exotic locations, so as a Harvard undergraduate he was unprepared for the world of girls and dating. On meeting and winning the attention of a girl named Stephanie, who would eventually become his wife, his eyes and his heart were opened to the experience of romantic love and relationship. The match seemed perfect—both he and his college sweetheart had much in common—wealth, privilege and education, and post college, marriage was the next natural step for the attractive power couple. He would use his Harvard business degree to pick up the reins of the family sock business, and she would use her Harvard degree in psychology as a therapist. It was too bad that she didn’t use any of her therapy sessions on herself to discovery why she wanted to demean her kind, thoughtful, loving and wealthy 34-year-old husband through her words, insults and excessive spending before she used the legal system to formally liberate him of what the courts declared as her marital portion of his family wealth through divorce.
Now, after almost 15 years of being a part of a couple, Adam is single, but he is not alone. For the last 4 years he has had a “work wife” or as Assistant Stephanie has labeled herself, a “life fairy” who has made his world move smoothly while ironically sharing the same name as his now ex-wife who seems to take great pleasure in making his world one filled with sharp observations and criticism. Actually, Assistant Stephanie—to distinguish from ex-wife Stephanie—is the opposite of his wife in appearance and in nature. While ex-wife Stephanie was a tall, blonde and busty woman who was attired always in haute couture, and possessing a sharply, critical voice which offered Adam little grace or support.
In contrast, Assistant Stephanie was of moderate height and waifish. And recently, it seemed that Adam had become more observant of her appearance, noticing that she possessed long dark hair, huge dark eyes with gold-green specks, plump pink lips, flawless, creamy skin and classically beautiful features with a few cute freckles across the bridge of her nose and across her cheeks. Significantly, what he came to notice more than anything was that she was both kind and sweet to everyone, even him.
And so, with ex-wife Stephanie’s cruel and demeaning words claiming that he was useless, uninteresting and unable to even screw in a lightbulb, Adam decided to prove this heartless woman wrong. With the help of Assistant Stephanie, he would meet ex-wife Stephanie’s challenge. He would prove that he could be “manly.” And so, he charged Assistant Stephanie with equipping him with all the gear needed to go camping—not “glamping” in which one stayed in a stylish, but rustic accommodation, but “camping” where one pitched a tent, slept on an air mattress which rested on the cold, hard ground and where, instead of the hum of air conditioning, the hum was provided by hordes of blood-sucking mosquitoes seeking their next meal. And, in addition to equipping her boss with all the necessary gear for the weekend wilderness trek, Assistant Stephanie would also accompany boss Adam in the role not as “assistant”, but “girlfriend,” in anticipation of running into ex-wife Stephanie and proving that not only could he do manly activities like camping, but he could also do things with a woman who was not his ex, but who was named Stephanie—a woman whom he was coming to see not as Assistant Stephanie, but rather as Steph—a woman who was beautiful, patient, kind, smart beyond belief, capable, generous and strong.

Adam is a sock rock star! Heir to a sock company Adam did not grow up the way many would believe that he did. Born of two parents who loved each other truly Adam has a wonderful opportunity to be as normal as possible... for a child of billionaire parents. When his father decided to retire he turn the reins over to his only son. Adam, a conscientious man, had a passion for the business before his father even retired. Adam not only increased the business but he made sure that his employees were paid well, he did not just work from an office but Adam was in the trenches with his employees creating, marketing and manufacturing and he also made sure that he was intertwined with social issues and doing his part to make the world a better place for all. They do not make too many men like this anymore. Everything Adam did he did with his whole heart and that includes falling in love. Adam thought when he met his ex that his life was complete. Unfortunately he could not have been more wrong. Verbal and emotional abuse by the one you love the most has a tendency to wear a person down and caused him to question who he really was at his core. Overwhelmed by his heartache Adam had no time to grieve the loss of his love but also no time to heal and for years he was frozen in that emotional triangle until he had his own personal ray of light. Will Adam release the past in order to move into a future of happiness???
Stephanie is a real salt of the earth type of woman. Stephanie is a woman of her word and her job is to make sure that the world of Adam never stops turning. The one thing Stephanie wishes she could do the most is to help Adam heal from the damage of his destructively wicked witch of an ex-wife. Stephanie has been his personal assistant for years and there is nothing that she has not done for him to make his day to day life easier. Stephanie has watched from the sidelines just how hard he works and she has seen all of the philanthropic work that he takes personally so when she overhears how his ex-wife talks to him it breaks her heart. From that day Stephanie decides that he will never know that she has heard how he has been treated but goes out of her way to give him positive reinforcement every chance she gets and it draws her closer to him. Stephanie not only works for him but she also begins to fall for him... hard! What can she do!?! There is no way he would be interested in her but every time she is around him her body craves him in a way she has never felt before. When Adam learns his ex is going camping he negotiates for Stephanie to go with him so his ex can see that he is a man but what neither of them expected is that the blinders that Adam had on would come off and he would begin to see Stephanie as the beautiful gift that was made just for him... but can they make it work? Or will Adam be drawn back to his ex for another chance?
This is a story of two people who, although spending the majority of their time together, never really see what is right in front of them. There are times in life when if we just sit back and allow ourselves to take in everything around us instead of continuously juggling life issues we can get a clear view of what is right in front of us. Unlike Adam some of us never get that perspective and exist instead of truly living. This was a wonderful transformation and the journey was well worth it! Good job!

It is very difficult to bounce back when you are constantly having your "faults" pointed out , being told you are not at all the person THEY want you to be. It breaks a person, but when it comes from the person you love and dote on it is crippling. Top that off with that very person leaves you, but not without trying even harder to break you more by taking everything away from you, as maliciously as possible. It is a pain too deep to put into words.
Adam knows all about this, and two years later he is still broken and self loathing. He is now divorced but completely not over his ex, and a plan hatched to win her back is in the works. This plan however includes more than just him. Poor Stephanie, his assistant, has been coerced and bribed into this as well, and since she is the one who basically runs his private life, and is in dire need of home repairs, she is as involved as he is. Stephanie knows all about the ex-wife, (also named Steph, but known as Ex-Steph) and all the crap that has taken place, only Adam is not aware of that.
A camping trip, seriously? Both Adam and Steph are exclusively city people. So with major reservations about this, Stephanie goes ahead and orders all the proper and needed equipment for this fiasco, and everything packed, all ready to go. All of the funny times, the embarrassing moments and everything notable begin from this point. There are close calls with snakes, falling from cliffs, bleeding blisters, head wounds, and severe sunburns. Not to mention Mother Nature throwing in horrible storms. The trip was doomed from the start, but what isn't doomed is the feelings they start to realize are not only there, but shared. There is no more hiding, no turning back and no stopping them at all. Who knew being together would and could feel so right?!
It takes a twist of fate to bring everything to a boil, send in Ex-Steph and her new muscle bound boyfriend and nasty words and those old wounds reopen. The only difference this time around is Assistant Stephanie stands up and fights for Adam, while ex-Steph belittles him even more, and does it in front of everyone. It doesn’t just include her belittling him, oh no, she lets out a secret, and those words are what cut the deepest. Adam and Good-Steph leave, but the damage is done, and there is no way to undo it, no way to open Adam’s heart again it would seem.
Mixed emotions, hurt feelings and silence are now being felt by both, for many different reasons. No sense in overthinking the situation. Adam and Stephanie had agreed that there would be no regrets. Even though at first it just is too hard to bear. Another plan begins with a specific event, drawing these two closer together, to face everything together, with no barriers. The healing has already started. It continues to grow and leads them into the happily ever after they deserve, with few more little surprises arising too.
Mr. Perfectly Wrong Pretend fake girlfriend ☑ Handsome, intelligent, rich☑ Hilariously funny, laugh out loud and witty ☑ Boss/employee relationship ☑ Vengeful, mean, nasty ex ☑ Swoon worthy, healing, emotional ☑ Female who have your back☑ Stephanie is Adam Executive Assistant she knows everything about his personal life when he was married and now. She literally takes care of all his needs from his latte, to ensuring that his twenty million dollar house doesn't have a speck of dust. In fact she barely does actual company work. Adam his very organize and meticulously but his personal life is messy. Adam Fino is thirty four years old. He's the owner of Sock which was inherited from his grandfather. He's also a billionaire whose still in love with his ex-wife Steph who use to belittled him during their marriage. It's been two years since Adam been divorced from his ex-wife Steph he heard that she was going camping with her new chunky muscled younger boyfriend. They were going to an actual campground not something fancy, so he concocted the idea to camping too with his Executive Assistant as his fake girlfriend to be prove to his ex-wife that all things that she said about him as well during their marriage too wasn't true. However, the thing with this plan that he didn't factor in is that because it was Colorado it involves the full she bang like the mountains, lakes, trees, hiking and tents. Oh did I forgot to mention that they're both city slickers, which means they're totally out of their elements. Stephanie recently bought a house but it's a fixer upper and she's badly in need of new roof which she knew of when she bought the house. At first they decided on $5,000. But after they got to Colorado and she saw where they were going to be staying at she told up to increase $10,000 and she wanted it in the form of a bonus. Adam ex-wife had belittled, and emasculated him so bad it had done irreparable damage to him and that's why he was out of his comfort zone hoping to run into her to prove that he's a man. However, in playing a fake role Stephanie and Adam grew closer and they started to develop feelings for each other until the nasty ex showed up with the same old antics. But this time he had someone who had his back and put the nasty troll in her place. However, their fragile relationship that was just starting got all mess up. Because he's hearing ex-Stephanie nasty words playing on repeated in his head. I'm glad the author figured a way that these could get their HEA after some much needed healing and true love.

Camping and never been so much fun Stephanie had been Adam secretary for years and she had seen him go through the pain of his divorce to his ex Stephanie that’s what we call her now the eX Stephanie, so we didn’t get confused. Adam hasn’t been the same, it be over two years now he hadn’t dated anyone and he has just asked Stephanie to go camping with him as he knows his ex wife is going to be there with her new boyfriend who is younger than them. And the only reason that Stephanie agrees is because she needs a new roof on her house and the money would come in very useful right now. Adam has something to prove. The words that his ex-wife had said to him when she was leaving him and asking for a divorce had cut him to the bone. Making him feel less of a man saying he was useless, he only thinks of his company, he had no time for her he didn’t know how to do anything around the house was a house (it was a mansion really.) He treated her like a queen he gave her everything, didn’t care what money she spent but that was still not enough for her so when he found out that she was going camping he wanted to go and prove that he could do more than what she thought. And going with his secretary who he had known for years as his girlfriend well pretend girlfriend would help with the act. Neither of these two have been camping before, they don’t have a clue how to put up a tent. They’ve bought all new equipment including boots and anybody who goes camping or hiking knows never ever ever wear new shoes you have to wear them in. But what will happen when these to spend time alone?? I really like Stephanie I wish she had a bit more self-confidence she was really quite insecure but why she’s such an amazing woman. I like that she was feisty and didn’t mind what she was saying if she had a point to prove she would come out and say it. I liked the banter that these two had it made me smile non-stop. But what was special was the connection. And the chemistry was off the charts. Adam I felt was a bit wet at times. You know when ooopsss I don’t want to give away the storyline but I just wish he had a bit more of a backbone because he comes across as a lovely man. When you got Stephanie in the corner does he need one let’s be honest. A great read

What happens in the tent stays in the tent This book is about Steph and Adam. She works for him as his executive assistant and always goes above and beyond, in everything she’s asked to do – which is a lot! Steph is more like the life fairy that flutters around, making sure Adam has everything he needs. Adam is still getting over his ex-wife (also named Stephanie), who is a horrible person, and Steph tries to constantly reassure him that he IS a good and worthwhile person. ‘Ex-Stephanie’ said some awful things to him, which has him feeling utterly (and understandably) miserable, and despite being a billionaire, really doubting himself. Steph is genuinely kind and has the biggest heart, so she won’t let that fester and continue. Adam asks Steph to go on a short weekend camping trip with him. He wants her to act as a fake girlfriend to make ex-Steph jealous, because he knows she’s going to be at the same camping spot with her new beau/victim ;) Steph reluctantly agrees, and the huge amount of money he’s going to give her for doing this massive favour will really come in handy with the roof repairs she needs on her house. Neither of these two are ‘outdoorsy’ people, so it becomes a comedy of errors and horrors as they endure mishap after mishap. To read it was so hilarious at times. Surely nobody could have that much bad luck!? But, being stuck in a confined space in terrible weather doesn’t turn out to be ALL bad. The realisation of lust and passion follow quickly as their true feelings for each other start to emerge. However, it’s not all smooth sailing, especially when ‘ex-Stephanie’ emerges and puts those awful doubts back into Adam’s head. It’s a sweet, steamy, funny and adventurous story. The main characters were portrayed so honestly, bearing their hearts and souls, not knowing how the other would react or feel. I would’ve happily kept on reading about them. I’d love to know what happens next for this wonderful couple. I give this book four and three quarter dazzling stars. Adam Fino is a self-made, wealthy and kind man who inherited his grandfather's company and is now the King of Socks! Any type of socks...novelty, compression, sport, medical grade and anything else you can think of. He's single, at 34, because his ex-wife, Stephanie, was an intolerable fool who used him for his money and emasculated him with cruel insults and insinuations about his manhood. She's been gone for 2 years, but he hasn't been able to shake whatever it was they had together. Not that he wanted her anymore, but she left him in a kind of limbo, with self-doubt and loathing at its core. She is referred to as -Ex Stephanie because Adam's Executive Assistant is also named Stephanie. She is indispensable to him and does more than just manage his life at the office. She's who he counts on to do everything from pick up and deliver his laundry, make sure that his mansion is kept clean and act as his girlfriend in order to go on a camping trip with him. Why a girlfriend? He found out his ex-wife is going camping with her flavor of the week and he wants to prove to her that he's capable of doing anything he sets his mind to outside of the office. Assistant Stephanie knows what a wonderful man he is, sees how good he is to everybody in his life, and is concerned that he's using this trip to try to get back with his wife. Adam hasn't given her any reason to believe this, but her mind goes there, anyway. The camping trip is actually quite enjoyable with a lot of laughter, getting to know each other like never before and fun times on the jet ski at the beach. What neither counted on was how close they became and just how far they took it. Adam's first inclination is to tell Steph that they should go back to work and forget that this ever happened. Wrong thing to say! He knows he blew it but how can he fix it? The ending is cute and even ex-Stephanie's run-in with the bird gave me a big smile!
I received a free ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. This is my opinion and was not influenced by anyone.
Stephanie as an Executive Assistant does everything for Adam Fino. He's billionaire sock baron. He's been divorced for two years to a woman to a woman loosely called Ex-Stephanie. She said a bunch a horrible, hurtful things to Adam, really crushing his self image.
Adam gets the great idea to take his assistant Stephanie on a camping trip; the same camp where Ex-Stephanie and her new boyfriend are spending the weekend. He asks Stephanie to pretend to be his current girlfriend and make the Ex jealous. However neither Adam or Stephanie know anything even remotely about camping.
Mr. Perfectly Wrong by Lindsey Hart blends romance with humor. There is humor infused throughout. One example: Adam loves his job creating and selling socks. He relates everything in terms of socks. At one point he states that a mean person needs socks because if they had a pair of cozy, warm sock they wouldn't be mean.
The story reads quickly and it held my attention. I found myself smiling while reading. The feelings between Stephanie and Adam has been buried for a while and it slowly breaks through, surprising them both. Stephanie is strong and speaks her mind freely. She not only bolsters Adam by telling him what he needs to hear truthfully but she stands up for Adam to his Ex. Adam was a man that was beat down mentally and emotionally by his Ex. I really would like to have seen him stand up to her at some point, once he found his confidence and happiness again. This story, a standalone with a happy ending is definitely recommended.
Stephanie, 30, has been Adam’s executive assistant at the sock company for 4 years and recently bought a house that needs major renovations. Adam, 34, is handsome, great at running his successful business but his personal life is a mess. Before his wife divorced him 2 years ago she told him that he was spoiled and useless . He finds out his ex is going on a camping trip with her boyfriend so he offers to pay Stephanie $5000 to go camping with him at the same place and pretend to be his girlfriend so he can prove to his ex-wife that he is not useless. When she sees the rough area that will be in, she coerces him into paying her $10,000 that she needs for a roof on her house. When they are there together they become closer and start to become attracted. Will his plan succeed in proving to his ex that he is not totally useless? Will Stephanie and Adam grow closer after spending time together outside of work?
I enjoyed this fun story about the boss and his assistant connecting outside of work. The author did a great job showing how both Stephanie and Adam had been involved in bad relationships and unsuccessful at findIng love. When they spent more personal time together and got to know each other on a new level, they had a connection. I loved the humor in the story and their camping adventures as well as all of the references to socks. She thought she was there to help him get his ex jealous but it turned out to be more than that. The epilogue was a great ending for their story.

So nice to read a book about two likable people who come to realize they care for each other. Who have real conversations, and talk like mature adults, instead of running off and avoiding hard truths and fostering miscommunications. Even though they have huge bumps in the road they have to overcome. The entire book takes place over just a few days, but the characters have known each other for years. She is his assistant. But instead of the usual overdone trope of him being a rich, playboy, jerk who is rude and overworks her, she thinks he’s a caring and nice guy. I thought it was a refreshing and endearing change. What happens when they decide to go rough camping and don’t know what they’re doing - some hilarity ensues. I found myself cracking up and laughing out loud during several scenes, especially over a dropped towel and a seagull with a target. I loved the internal dialogue of Stephanie - she was a hoot. It’s told from both POV and hers was always entertaining. There was plenty of drama and angst with ex-Stephanie, a middle of the night thunderstorm, a snake, etc., so don’t think this story was all sweetness and light. I really enjoyed this book - it was a nice change of pace for me from a lot of what is out there and I’m looking forward to reading more from Lindsey Hart. There was no cheating and an HEA (I like to know those things up front before I commit my time to a book)

Adam Fino owns and is CEO of a very successful business that sells socks. All his Executive Assistant. Stephanie, wants to do is give her boss a very hard sock of her own.
Adam comes up with a plot to impress his Ex wife (also Stephanie) who has completely destroyed Adam’s self-esteem. He has come up with a master plan to redeem himself. His wonderful scheme includes hiring Assistant Stephanie to go camping with him where he knows that Ex Stephanie will also be camping for the weekend. Adam does not take into consideration that both he and Stephanie are entrenched, dyed in the wool city slickers. But, Stephanie is in desperate need of a new roof and the weekend camping trip will cover her expense for her renovation.
Adam’s self-talk gives you an indication that his confidence has been decimated. This really troubles Steph because she sees Adam as “kinda perfect” at how he operates, grows his business and treats his employees. Steph has no filter and her observations are side-splitting. On the other hand, Adam’s answer to insensitive, rude people is to give them warm comfy socks. Both Steph and Adam are genuine. Adam has the “desire to be perfect in every single thing I ever try to do”. it is entertaining how Adam works through his issues and how Steph helps hm with her frank and straightforward manner.
As usual, Lindsay Hart provides us with uproarious situations. The dialogue is witty, clever and often LOL hilarious.
I absolutely loved reading Mr. Perfectly Wrong and this should be a 5 star read. However, I can't get over how there is no rhyme or reason for Stephanie to be borderline bitchy and dislike him. I mean he's the perfect boss, loved and respected by all of his employees, his family and friends, yet according to her internal monologue, she dislikes him. In the beginning it even seems like she hates him, although her actions and behavior prove that top be false.
Obviously his perfection is non existent according to our hero. In his mind he's barely a man. It's an unfortunate, yet sadly realistic issue, when s bitter and angry person's words, however false stay with you and impact how you see yourself. That is Adam's problem and what leads him to ask Stephanie to go camping in order to prove his manliness to Ex-Stephanie. Like all revenge plots, it goes horribly wrong and blows up in his face. It's the voyage there that makes for a good story.
It really was a good story. The only thing that bothered me was that no matter what Stephanie said to him, even at the very end, he didn't seem to believe her. He still believed the bitter words his ex threw at him before leaving him. I had hoped for some grand epiphany, but there didn't seem to be one.
On a side note, I got a kick out of the sock references and every time Stephanie made one and his response of "I love when you talk dirty to me." lol That was great
Steph does everything for her boss Adam. From organising his appointments, cleaners. personal chef and even purchasing his underwear. So when he asked her to accompany him on a camping trip for the weekend to get back at his ex-wife she thought that this was a step too far. Offering to pay her a $5k bonus she couldn't refuse as she needs the money to pay for a new roof.
Adam has been divorced from his ex-wife Stephanie (yes, his ex and his assistant have the same name) for two years. Her parting shot was a speech about how useless he was and not much of a man. Something that has played on his mind ever since so plans a weekend camping to prove her wrong as he knows she is also going camping with her new personal trainer boyfriend. Steph isn't too keen on the plan and repeatedly tells him that it is doomed to fail. Managing to renegotiate her bonus to $10k. The press on and manage to have disaster after disaster.
Drinking away their first day of camping turmoil they share confidences, brutely honest thoughts and an amazing make-out session. But they opt to forget about the kissing when they think about how they shouldn't be doing anything. But soon they can't fight the urge any longer. Steph has a way of making Adam understand why he is perfect just the way he is. Whilst Adam makes Steph feel beautiful and wanted. What happens when they bump into ex-Steph?
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and who to like and dislike, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. Stephanie has worked for Adam as his executive assistant for four years and just recently bought a home that needs a lot of fixing up. Adam a very sexy alpha and successful at running a company but he could use some help with his personal business because it is a hot mess. He wants to prove his ex-wife wrong why would he even care …is the question I would be asking but needless to say he does and so he asks his Stephanie to go with him and offers to pay her, but she negotiates more for herself but what either of them realized is when emotional bonds aren’t on the menu and attachments certainly weren’t supposed to for. But when loves rears its beautiful head and throws yet another wrench into the works well you get Stephanie and Adam. Will these two become closer after all the time spent with each other and can the two find their own HEA?
Adam and Stephanie's story was just what the reader would expect – funny, witty, and doomed to failure! I really thoroughly enjoyed it. Adam is a billionaire businessman getting over a bad divorce from a horrible woman. We can all agree on that.
Stephanie is Adam’s assistant and he needs her help with a plan to get back at the ex-wife, though Stephanie is convinced he’s actually trying to win her back. His ex had accused him of not being able to do a single thing that didn’t involve work. So Stephanie figures he now wants to demonstrate his manliness with a tent, hiking boots, and an ax. In this book we meet Stephanie and Adam. Adam is determined to prove his ex-wife Stephanie wrong when she all but called him a worthless waste of space. She told him that he couldn't do anything and was just a spoiled man who needed everyone else around him to take care of things that a normal man should. This is of course right before they got a divorce. Now 2 years later those thoughts are still bouncing around in his head of is she right. So he decides to pay his assistant Stephanie to go camping with him, after reading somewhere that the ex is doing this with her current boyfriend. His assistant needs her roof fixed so she agrees to this but from the moment they get their she is ready to go. There is a point she wants to prove to him though and is determined to do it. Will these two find a way to see the truth or will the vial things said in the past make a future impossible?
This is a great story by this author. It did make it a little confusing with both names being the same. The author does help in the beginning of the book stating they call the ex ex-Stephanie. All and all good story. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
He's been listening to an ex-wife who belittles him at every chance she sees him. He hasn't given up on her & he has a plan to be at the same campsite one weekend, in the hopes to return to him. He doesn't want the ex-wife to think he is stalking her so he brings his assistant with him so it looks like a coincidence they are at the same campground. Steph, his assistant, has been fighting her secret inner feelings for him for a number of years, watched how his wife treated him, divorced him & continued emotionally abusing him. Unfortunately, these two know nothing about camping & it seems the world is against them. Doesn't stop them from crossing the line of boss/employee & their feelings for each other are revealed.
Just like a budding flower blooming into a gorgeous blossom, these 2 gain strength & with positive encouragement they realize they belong together. Their love is powerful & they have a HEA with fond memories of that fateful weekend camping trip that started this romance. A wonderful story to read with a mixture of emotions, two people who ignite the spark to start their relationship & overcome the emotional abuse from the ex.

This was an enjoyable story about Stephanie and her boss, Adam. Adam was dumped by his horrible, money grabbing wife a couple of years ago and has yet to build up his self-esteem that she completely destroyed. He plans to prove to his ex and himself that he isn’t hopeless by going camping in the same campground where she will be and bringing along his assistant, Stephanie, acting like they are a couple. It starts off as a camping trip from he!! for the 2 city slickers and is absolutely hilarious. I think I found it to be so funny because I love to camp and I remember the early days of tenting where you were trying to figure it out and it seemed like one thing after another would go wrong. As the weekend progresses, they both realize that maybe things aren’t so bad and they become much closer. Too bad the good times have to end when they encounter ex-Stephanie and her boy-toy, Brian. This is a standalone story and of course it has a HEA, but you need to read it to truly enjoy the characters and what they go through.

This was a very funny story. The characters were quirky and the situations they got into were a comedy of errors.
Adam is a divorced billionaire who runs a sock company. His ex-wife was terribly mean and crushed his self confidence so he has not dated in a few years. He asks Stephanie to go camping with him to prove to his ex that he has skills besides running the company.
Stephanie is his executive assistant at work, but is in reality his life assistant. She makes sure every aspect of his life goes smoothly from his grocery delivery to his clothes and his pool maintenance. She agrees to go camping if he pays her a large sum of money so she can get her roof replaced.
They get into some hilarious situations that include an attacking snake, sleeping in the sports car, falling asleep at the beach, etc. While they are camping they find themselves falling for each other then they bump into his ex who causes more trouble. After going back to work they clear up their relationship and get their HEA.

I just have to say I love Lindsey Hart writing. She has brought yet another book to life. A billionaire that is actually a mess outside of work and cant seem to get over his ex-wife that was mentally abusive to him. She was his queen and he was treated like a jester. Now she is with a younger man and Adam wants to make ex-Stephanie jealous with the new Stephanie (well not really new but for a relationship yes). Stephanie has been his assistant for 4 years now so she saw what he has been through this whole time. When Adam gets Stephanie to pretend to be his gf it is for a camping trip that neither knows one blazing thing about. Woods, tents, hiking, virtually nothing. All new equipment clothing the whole 9 yards and you get the banter between the new couple Adam and Stephanie. Stephanie sticks up for Adam to ex-Stephanie. What happens during this weekend trip? Well there is a lot of antics for sure. Funny, loving, romantic, putting people in their place and a bunch more so you should check this out.

This book is fantastic! A great story that is well worth reading. Adam runs his family's sock company and Steph is his assistant. It's been two years since his divorce and he still hasn't gotten over it. When he finds out his ex wife will be camping, he convinces Steph to go along with him in return for five thousand dollars. The trip starts out as a disaster but the two soon realize that they might be able to more than just boss and employee. Things get a bit bumpy when they finally run into his ex wife and her new boyfriend. The truth that Adam will learn from his ex will shatter him but Steph promises to be there for him. When Adam tells her he needs some time to think about what happened, Steph is sure it's over. That is, until a few days later when a construction crew shows up at her house to replace her roof, which is the reason she went camping with Adam in the first place. This will send her back to work and back into Adam's arms. This will start them down the path to their happily ever after.

I think that the author intended for this book to be a little comedic because that's what I got from it and how the characters acted. Stephanie I feel was a little too over the top and kind of pessimistic about the camping situation. Although, she does have a good heart and only wants what's best for her boss. So, Stephanie agrees to go with her boss, Adam, on a stupid plan to make his ex-wife jealous or that was the premise in the beginning. Everything practically goes wrong for these two city-slickers and their first couple of days are pretty crap, but it also brings them together. The two discover that they have feelings for each other, but haven't acted on them because of certain reasons. I felt that there was a lot of dialogue at times with big speeches. I didn't think this was necessary and the same thing is said over and over again in different parts of the book. I did enjoy the more funny bits, but I felt that there was a little much. Far too many explanations and not enough action, but it is still a good story.

First off, once you finish this awesome story you’ll know what the review title is referring too Secondly, you’ll have absolutely no problems enjoying this story. It has some beautiful emotional moments, but mainly it’s just a romantically humorous story. Stephanie is Adam’s personal assistant, or life assistant as she puts it, and it’s a very true description. Adam is a man you puts his all into his company, but only in the best of ways, especially after getting a devastating divorce a few years prior. Stephanie has been there through it all, with her bluntness and lack of filter, helping him heal, even if he didn’t realize it. A crazy plan from Adam, a camping trip full of mishaps, and an awkward meeting with the ex, all make for a humorous and heartwarming book that will keep you thoroughly entertained from start to finish. Things can only go right with Mr. Perfectly Wrong

Mr Perfectly Wrong is a lovely light romance but with a depth to the two main characters that is beautifully described. Adam is the CEO billionaire of his family’s sock company, Steph is his personal assistant that manages all His personal needs, from ordering his clothes and sorting out his diet and diary. She desperately needs Money to repair her roof so Adam offers her $5K if she’ll go on a camping trip with him as a pretend girlfriend, as he knows his wife is going to be there and he wants to show her he is over her. The ex was a complete nightmare and viciously verbally abused him , wanting the divorce as she accused him of not being a proper man as he probably couldn’t even fit a light bulb. This made Adam lose all confidence in himself which is perhaps hard to understand until you realise what a lovely man he is. So starts a great story, there are some hilarious moments at the camping site as Steph and Adam become closer An enjoyable read. My thanks to the author for an ARC for which I have reviewed this book honestly.
