Malorie Cooper likes to think of herself as a dreamer and a wanderer, yet her feet are firmly grounded in reality.
A ‘maker’ from an early age, Malorie loves to craft things, from furniture, to cosplay costumes, to a well-spun tale, she can’t help but to create new things every day.
A rare extrovert writer, she loves to hang out with readers and people in general. If you meet her at a convention, she just might be rocking a catsuit, cosplaying one of her own characters, or maybe her latest favorite from Overwatch!
She shares her home with a brilliant young girl, her wonderful wife (who also writes), a cat that chirps at birds, a never-ending list of things she would like to build, and ideas…
I was waiting with bated breaths for this section of the Aeon14 saga to conclude and I still am. I am not complaining. Cooper and Company spin an excellent yarn and if, in the writing they realize the book is too big for one volume, it's a good thing for us! Granted, now I am stuck waiting for the concluding book but I have plenty of other reading to keep me entertained until publishing date for it arrives! Keep up the excellent work, my wonderful author friends!
A massive collaboration of characters as all the events and fleets start to come together as each enemy is defeated although the Hegemony and Core AIs remain the biggest threat yet. Cooper never ceases to amaze as every time you think you have it all in sight, you get another surprise and the fan worship increases.
It is half a book, yet the length and detail played out was like reading two novels. Only Cooper can do one book and end up with four (or five?) novels. Onward Author! Give me the rest!
I have never had as much fun reading these wonderful stories. I am 60 years old and reading science fiction all my life , so I know a great book when I read one.
Another great book in the series here, as we reach towards end game. We start to see the toll the war is taking on our protagonists here, as things continue to get tougher and tougher. I'm glad the author looked to split this into two novels, rather than trying to combine it all into one, as this way it allows the pieces in this novel the space to really breathe, and not be potentially overshadowed by other events that would minimise some of the impacts. Good to see a lot of our returning characters here, both good and bad, and see how their journeys are going. All round a great read, and can't wait for the next one :)
