I don’t believe in fate. But if I did, I’d be certain that sassy wench sent me to add a little excitement to Max Parker’s life. If anyone needs to take the stick out of his butt, it’s him.
Karly I really scored when I became the receptionist for Milestone’s newest law firm. Cushy office job with great hours and holiday pay? Check. Great location? Check. Two incredibly hot, identical twin lawyers? Check and check.
But after a series of mishaps on my first day left the Parker brothers with a less-than-stellar first impression of my sparkling personality, I knew I had my work cut out for me. Especially where Max Parker was concerned. He wanted me gone the minute he laid eyes on me.
I had two choices. I could make nice and be the professional, meek employee Max wanted. Or, I could be me and bring a little pleasure into that uptight, yet delicious man’s life.
Fun. I meant fun, not pleasure. But hey, if he’s game…
Max Karly Brooks had no respect for authority, no sense of propriety, and a terrible disregard for punctuality. I wanted her gone.
It didn’t matter that she was gorgeous. Curvy, with flaming red hair and glittering green eyes. It didn’t matter that my traitorous body reacted every time I saw her. I could ignore all that.
She liked to play games? Well, game on. One way or another, I planned to win. Teasing Mr. Moneybags is book three in the Milestone Mischief Series. It is a steamy standalone novel with no cliffhanger.
Piper James lives in Idaho with her husband, two teenage sons, two cats, and a dog.
Her favorite things are romance novels, coffee, potato chips, and her Jeep Wrangler…and her family, of course. Seriously. She loves her family more than coffee and her jeep. *exaggerated wink*
When she’s not writing, she watches ghost shows and spends most of her time trying to convince her family their house is haunted. Because it is.
She wrote YA paranormal romance for 6 years under the name Wendi Wilson before giving into her desire to write spicy romcoms, and it was the best career decision she’s ever made…until she decides to write a book about the ghosts. Because they are definitely real.
Karly and Max were so fun! There never was a dull moment between them! Karly was exactly what Max needed! These two had ups and downs! But I loved how they took their time and got the end the ending they deserved! ❤️
Fantastic, as always. Literally read it all in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I love the characters in this series so much and each one she adds is better than the last! Funny, sweet, steamy- perfect read!
Fun little office romance with a grump and a sunshine. Perfect spring read with just the perfect amount of angsty HEA. This was third in the series but read it as a stand alone. The friendship dynamic might be fun enough for me to go back and read one and two.
I would recommend to romance readers looking for a spring fling of a book.
I loved their story. She brought Max out of his boring shell and give him light , happiness and joy ( love) but that was destroyed in a single night by his rude Disrespectful scummy Rich dad . The ending totally made me cry .

Max & his brother are new lawyers in town. He a Mr. Grumpy who all about work. Karly grew up in Milesstone & lives life to the fullest. I love Karly since book one she fuckin hilarious, and that fact she tries make sure everyone has goodtime & they are ok. I am happy she got her own book, and im not disappointed. I love this book, this series. She is my favorite character in this whole series.
I didn’t expect this story to be about Karly and Max and when I found out, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. Karly has this electric and loud personality that gets me on edge and her confidence and no nonsense attitude which makes her unpredictable. Her antics in the beginning made me uncomfortable and I couldn’t believe she did all that just to get a rise out of Max and have him fall for her. She was bold and wasn’t afraid to go after what she wanted. This was intense for me when I first read that part of the story and on top of her unpredictability and loud personality, I couldn’t handle it. I’m a quiet person by nature and reading about someone who is the exact opposite of me makes me uneasy because I know I wouldn’t do that. This feeling is what had me give this book a 4. Despite my feeling this way I couldn’t put it down and really wanted to find out what would come from this. Karly does tone it down later on in the book and when her and Max finally get together. I would say I liked the second half of the book much better and the way her and Max temporarily break up was different than other situations I’ve read in the past. All in all Max and Karly proved they are perfect for each other and their heated and intimate moments had me fanning myself multiple times. I definitely enjoyed. I look forward to hopefully reading about the rest of the gang and where the romance goes from here.
Teasing Mr. Moneybags is the third book in the Milestone Mischief. Karly and Max story brings us lots of chemistry but it is also good to see that a strong woman like Karly has another emotional side. Piper James definitely gives us so steamy scenes.
Karly is the jokester of the group but also the one who holds the group together. She has a heart of gold.
Max Parker is the new lawyer in town. He move there with his twin Marshall to get a fresh start away from his family name and money.
To say Karly and Max relationship get off on the wrong foot is putting things mildly. Karly being herself had to poke Mr. Grumpy Ass when she realizes what her pictures and text does to him. Max can only take so much until he gives in and OMG who doesn’t love little office sex. Their relationship brings us on a emotion rollercoaster. But after some events they finally figure out they love each other. And they get their hea.
Piper James give us wonderful characters in Milestone Mischief and to bring them in every book to continue their story along with main character in each book I love it. Teasing Mr. Moneybags is a wonderful book Piper James does a fantastic job with storyline. She gives drama, love, small amount bdsm and steamy sex scenes. I can’t wait to read the next book in Milestone Mischief.
I loved returning to Milestone and seeing what this group of characters I've come to love is getting up to. In this volume we get to see Karly's story and I was not disappointed. In addition to her fun and quirky way of life, I saw a lot of her angst and worries. I like when a character becomes so multi-faceted.
I also loved getting to know Max and Marshall a bit more. I found their father to be utterly repulsive, and I'm very curious to see if we will get some of the sister's story at some point in this series. I also can't wait for Felicia's story.
Karly and Max have instant tension and attraction and I like that we can tell that but it takes them a bit to get there. I really enjoyed the teasing that Karly did to get Max to own up to how he was feeling. I also like how she was able to bring a personality out of him that we couldn't see at first. Through all the misunderstandings and mistakes, this relationship has sparks and heat. I absolutely loved Max's grand gesture at the end.
One thing I really love about this series, is how each book focuses on a different couple, but we also get to see the previous (and future?) couples and keep up with them as we move along in the series. I can't wait to read more!
I want to say I'm shocked, but I'm not. Piper James has done it again! Somehow she has managed to make me love each new book more than the last.
This one was my ABSOLUTE favorite! I swear Karly is my spirit animal! She was always one of my favorite characters throughout this series and I was so excited that she got the happy ending she deserved! ♡♡
I loved the character development and growth. I loved that the Parker brothers weren't your stereotypical billionaire assholes. And I love everything about Karly.
Also, this book has some light BDSM elements in it, which I love love loved. Always love a good kink representation:)
Seriously, take my advice and read any and all books you can by Piper James, you won't regret it!
I loved Jessa and Rafe’s story in Playing With The Doctor, and Ivy and Nate’s story in Faking With The Enemy, but I absolutely FREAKING LOVED Karly and Max’s story in Teasing Mr. Moneybags, because I freaking love Karly. She is so brash, and sassy, and fun, and knows exactly what she wants. Her antics had me laughing out loud. And Max, I love him too. He has no idea what to do with Karly, but at the same time he is so perfect for her. They balance each other out. Sure, he has his issues—and once you meet his father, you’ll understand what I mean—which leads to some bad decisions, but sometimes you need those bad things to happen to see the good things.
Well done, Ms. James, well done. I can’t wait to see who cupid hits with his arrow next in Milestone Mischief book 4.
The Milestone books are becoming an obsession. I love that Karly got her own story, she truly deserved it. She is incredibly fun and genuine. I smiled and laughed my way through each page of her flirty antics trying to get Max to let loose. I really like how they connected and how Karly was able to break down Max’s walls and make him feel the things he wanted to without feeling he needed to prove anything to anyone else. Their love made each other better, happier too.
This book incorporates the other Milestone characters from the first two books, so there is already a familiarity with people and places which I love because you don’t feel that “loss” after finishing the book knowing you’ll never hear what happens next - you just have to hold tight until the next book comes out.
This book is a classical sunshine x grumpy. It talks abut a young girl teasing her new boss, who’s always up tight and serious, to be more joyous and enjoy his life, and least to say he wasn’t on board but something makes about her makes her never leave his mind
I really liked the support that the girls had for each other, the mentioning of the stories and
Even though i really liked this story, something’s just wasn’t felling right, for example: the girls never really had a conversation that wasn’t based on a guy, there as a repeatedly in the conversations and scenery and would love of some cliff hanger about her bff to make me ready the other story.
Is a very cute book but I wouldn’t say it has a unique plot
I have not read the first two books in this series. While reading this one you pretty much catch up with what's going on in Milestone, Georgia. Karly and Max started off with coffee introduction. They had the hots for each other from that first encounter at the office. Karly liked to be silly and joke around. Where as Max was serious and very mature. They clicked even though Max was trying hard not to like Karly. It was fast and ended fast. Max should have never listed to his cold and sneaky dad. He almost lost Karly because of it. Karly's friends were her family and I liked the whole group. I hope Felicia and Marshall's book will be worth the wait.
Out of all of Piper's books, I think that this one has to be my favorite. As usual, I was hooked from the first page. She has a gift of intertwining humor with the suspense of the storyline. I fell in love with the characters, from Karly's sense of humor to Max's inability to resist her. This book in the third in the series, but can be read as a standalone. However, if you want more background on other characters, I would suggest starting at the beginning. I finished this book in a day, mostly because I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one!!
Small town and 2 new lawyers, who are brothers. Is This town ready for them?? Are they ready for this town?? What happens when a pig of a father raises you?? How would you turn out?? Read this book and find out! Piper James has done it again! Another totally awesome book in her collection! The steamy bluntness is exciting. I Read this within 24 hours cause i didnt want to stop. Every chapter I was wanting more!
Oh Karly.... She is the life of the party and the best one to bring a smile to everyone's face. But, she also enjoys games... maybe some truth and dare and even a little truth and truth.
Mr. Max Parker or better known as MGA is a nut she is willing to crack in more ways than one. The chemistry is next level between these two.
This book could have been 900 pages and I would still feel like I needed more in my soul.
Simple story. Karly works at a temp agency and just got a job as secretary to twin lawyers. Max, the more serious brother, doesn’t know how to deal with free will loving, free spirit Karly. Days pass, sparks fly, and they give in to their attraction. There is some angst that tears them apart, but there is an HEA. I’m a bit interested in some of the side characters who seem to be the previous stories to this.
This is the third book in the Milestone Mischief series. Karly starts a new temp job as a receptionist for the new twin lawyer brothers that set up in town. Instantly, she’s attracted to the broodier of the brothers, Max. When Max first ran into her, he knew she would be trouble. But Karly is determined to get Max to loosen up, and have a little fun. What she didn’t anticipate was how much she’d want him.
I absolutely loved this book. I just loved Karly. She’s so open, and doesn’t care to be herself. And I loved seeing her try and break Max’s walls. This book was wonderfully written, and I was hooked from the start. Things in this book has be desperate for the other books in this series. I’ve become a major fan of this author, and look forward to other books from her. I definitely recommend this book, and the others in this series.
The Milestone serious is becoming an obsession!! I couldn’t put this book down. Teasing Mr. Moneybags was amazing. I love Karly in the first two books so I was very excited to see her get her own book. Her spunky crazy personality fits perfect with Mr. Grumpy AKA Max. I can’t wait for the next one to come out!!!
Teasing Mr. Moneybags is the third book in the Milestone Mischief series. As always, with anything by Piper James, the interactions are real and relatable. The chemistry is off the charts between Max and Karly which makes for some hilarious twists and turns. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Teasing Mr. Moneybags!
So good! I already knew that I loved Karly from the previous books in this series. I LOVED Karly with Max. How could you not!? The chemistry between them was hot! I am so invested in this entire group of people. I need to know their stories! I’ve got to move right on to the next book. Who needs sleep anyway!?
DNF'd at 24% - Heroine is supremely childish and unlikable. She 100% deserved to be fired for her actions and attitude on the first day. Not only that but if the roles were switched and he was the one doing and saying what she was saying to him, he would be a creep. She is quite literally harassing him. I found nothing about her to be even tolerable.
UGH I had high hopes for this but no. I forced myself to finish this because I’ve DNF’ed so many books recently. I did not like Karly at all, the characters of the Parker brothers were not fleshed out, it just was so boring and the whole “ooh I’ve been bad punish me” thing was just cringy and didn’t even go anywhere. Not even curious to read the other books tbh
I adore a good rom com and Piper James definitely delivers in her Milestone Mischief series! This book has all right ingredients for an easy, fun read with just the right amount of sexy! I loved it and highly recommend it.
I literally couldn't put this down. I love this crazy group of people ❤. Karley is the crazy one in the group and her story was perfect. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Definitely hooked
I really enjoyed this book and was drawn in from the start. I love the characters and the storyline of each book in this series. I definitely recommend reading these books. Max and Karly are great and you will love them.
The story was perfectly balanced. There's humor, passion, tension and true love. Karly is a reminder that good is still real. Max is a great reminder of the power of finding yourself. Highly recommend!!
This was such a fun book. Grumpy boss, sunshiney receptionist, tons of steamy tension. This is the first book I read in this series but I'm definitely going to read more!
At first, I felt Karly was immature and annoying. She quickly grew on me, as did Max Parker. I was swooning over the brooding and uptight lawyer. I lost sleep over this book because I couldn’t put it down!!
This book was good for the most part. Had a couple laugh out loud moments which I always appreciate. It is a quick read, so its not really deep. I was more interested in what was going on with the friend who moved away....
