Silverjack McCall: Texas Legend: Between Hale and Highwater: A Western Adventure

Rate this book
In the same vein as “ U.S. Marshal” and “Jake Mountain Man” comes a brand new Western adventure from Lee Pierce. This is the first book, “Between Hale and Highwater,” in the “Silverjack Texas Legend Western Law of the Draw Series.”

Silverjack McCall is a man who is drawn into many situations and faces death daily. As he travels around the Old West, he faces dangers, helps those in need and keeps himself alive. Ride with Silverjack McCall as he makes his way across the West and deals with the situations that arise, as they arise, and strives to cross “Between Hale and Highwater.”

Tell Mabry, Lucifer Hale, and a Comanche Indian called Highwater usually ride together, working as a team of bounty hunters. While in a saloon they hear that their friend Sliverjack Mc Call is in prison for shooting a man who called him out and is going to be lynched in the morning while the sheriff is away. Together they break him out in the dark of night and ride off.

Eventually they arrive in Santa Fe where they find a carnival in progress. Lucifer Hale participates in a paid fight and wins, but they don’t want to pay him. This doesn’t stand well with them, so they get the pay by force. As events spiral out of control, they soon find themselves locked in a deadly game of cat and mouse to save a family from a vicious and greedy businessman in Junction City, but can they win?
