An enjoyable and interesting romance read, very well written and paced, dual pov.
The premise of Beautiful Secret excited me, due to the different approach of the characters’ roles. It was very refreshing to have a female in a higher position than the male. The author delivered with consideration, modesty and humanity.

Julia is working on a new movie as the lead actress while also trying to live a life as normally as possible while being in such a public and hectic industry. Aiden is a production assistant who aspires to one day have a bigger role working in film with screen writing, what he is not expecting is for Hollywood's latest IT girl to capture his heart and bring him into a lifestyle he may not be ready for
Julia and Aiden's story was a raw, real and heartbreaking look into what it must be like for someone in the public eye to try to build and maintain a healthy relationship. The celebrity life may look glamorous from the outside but it is most definitely not all it's cracked up to be
Julia was such a strong, kind, humble and level headed character and so mature for someone in a profession where stress can take it's toll. Aiden was patient, stoic, protective, vulnerable and very swoon worthy. Their story had angst, heat, passion and was full of sweet and beautiful moments
This was my first book by this author duo and I really enjoyed the writing style as well as the story and can't wait to read more from them in the future

If I could rate this more than 5 stars I would, Beautiful Secret deserves a million stars.
Beautiful Secret provides insight into the not some glamorous life that comes with being under the eye of Hollywood and the downsides to fame. Julia is Hollywood’s current it girl, but that means that her every move is on public display. The good, the bad and the ugly. Aiden is behind the scenes, a production assistant, not use to the fame. Will he be able to handle the pressure of Hollywood to make things work with Julia?
I LOVED this book form the very start. It was easy to fall for the characters from the start and connect with them on a personal level, but also this story is truly beautiful. There is a powerful message in this story. Both Julia and Aiden discover their self-worth throughout this story. It is all about empowerment.
Julie and Aiden are nothing like I expected, it was a breath of fresh air. Julia is down to earth and sometimes forgets about her fame. Aiden is laid back, down to earth. He is sweet and protective. In my mind before starting the book I just pictured him to be the alpha type, but he was far from it and that is what made me love his character so much more.
This isn’t my first book from Claire Raye, it definitely won’t be my last. It had elements I have come to expect with their books, but Beautiful Secret was also different from their other books. It was sweet, romantic and powerful with plenty of heat with an insta love story that will make your heart swoon.
A MUST READ and I can’t wait to see more of these characters and the secondary characters in the next couple of books in this series.

After a misunderstanding with both Aiden and Julia, they start developing a friendship that moves into a relationship. It was cute and I enjoyed the banter and playful manner between the two. It’s a nice change to have the heroine as the star and the hero as the “normal person”
Instant chemistry between the two, both had feelings for each other but because of their work relationship and positions all was made harder. They both made mistakes and it was hard for them to work through the early stages of a relationship in secret.
We get to see the life of a movie star through a heroine who loves acting but not the celebrity aspect. The press hounding her and not having any privacy. Being away from home and being surrounded by people who only care what you can do for them.
We see the life of a production assistant, the good and the bad. Wanting to be respected and how because of your role you may not be treated seriously. Someone with big dreams and amazing script writing talent, learning to believe in themselves.
The relationship felt real and natural. They are both an escape for each other. This was a beautiful and raw look into how hard it is to build a relationship when you have no privacy at all. It was a beautiful story that had me in tears.
This really did surprise me as I’m not a fan of insta love but I liked it here.
This still had angst and it really shines alight on Hollywood and it’s horrible practices. I liked the writing style and the flow of the duel POV. To see the story from both sides really elevated the story.
Even though there was not chapter title ‘ epilogue’ the last chapter still nicely tied the story together.

So I went into this book blind. It's the first book by these authors, and I have to say, I didn't expect what I got. It was full of drama, raw emotion and angst... Which if you know me, it is what I look for in a good romance, so I was disappointed. As the title states, it is a Hollywood romance, and that's not normally a trope I read. This book, however, wasn't like most Hollywood romance I have read before and I am glad it wasn't...
Julia Harris is a famous Hollywood star, she is in the eye of the public and she is their golden girl. She has it all and more, but the way the author wrote this character was refreshing. She was snobby, she didn't act as though she was above other people. She stayed true to herself and stayed grounded even though she lived a life most people only dreamed about. I loved that the authors didn't write this character as some over the top wench. I felt she was the type of woman I could kind of relate to, and that's what held my attention the most. Sometimes with these types of romances, I find myself rolling myself at how the heroine acts, but not this one. She was such a lovable character and I adored her!
Aiden is an aspiring screenwriter, but working as an assistant producer in his hometown London working on a blockbuster movie. He is at the bottom of the ladder when it comes to the Hollywood industry but although he may attend these Hollywood parties, it most definitely isn't his scene, but he does want to work his way to being a screenwriter, something he has dreamed of for a long time.
Aiden and Julia were the most unlikely couple ever. She was at the top and he was at the bottom. Aiden automatically thought Julia would be some stuck up Hollywood actress but when they cross paths, he is shocked to realize just how normal Julia is, that she is nothing like he expected. Julia found herself drawn by Aiden the moment they did mean, but as it goes, she had an image to uphold and things were expected of her, and being with Aiden wasn't one of those things. Her c0-star and he had an image to uphold, well more to the point her co-star thinks them as a couple would be good for publicity, but when things don't go the way he wants them to and he isn't pleased with it at all.
Aiden and Julia can't help but be drawn to one another and after a secret kiss, that only got my intense. They are trying to keep what they have under the radar and out of the public eye but it's seeming harder than expected... and the moment the public is alerted. Everything between these two is put on the line... Aiden starts to question the way he feels, and everything they started to build starts to crumble.
I would dive in deeper but I honestly think this book is best jumped into blind, I know I am glad I did... I expected one thing and got another and I love it when that happens. This was full of emotion, angst, and grab at my attention from the beginning, that authors wrote these characters flawlessly and made me fall in love with them from the start.
I can't wait to read what is next!

A Claire Raye book always gives you the swoon factor and Beautiful Secret is no exception. It is a truly beautiful read that makes you 'sigh' and brings that secret little smile to your face.
I love a love story and this is that. Set in the world of Hollywood. We go behind the scenes of the false Hollywood; the bright lights, the red carpets and the glittery parties to a love story that is set against the odds - where the papparizzi rule and a co-star who thinks everything resolves around him!
Julie golden girl of the silver screen; on the back of her recent oscar is now in London on location filming her next movie. Aiden back in his hometown of London is the lowly assistant producer on this blockbuster movie; he may attend the Hollywood parties but it's not really his scene, a talented screen writer he is just waiting for his break. Julie and Aiden's path really shouldn't cross considering where he is on the film chain but they do and Aiden cannot believe how normal Julie is; not like some of the divas in the industry; from the moment Julie meets Aiden she is taken with him but she has a public persona to maintain and even though she can't stand her co-star Brandon she has to maintain some form of a charade. Brandon has other ideas and think it would be great publicist for the film if the two where seen as a couple and he isn't happy when his plan is working at the way he thought!
After just one kiss everything changes between Aiden and Julie. The two try to keep everything under the radar. A secret between the two as they learn everything about each other without the spot light on them. But when someone alerts the press that Julie is seeing someone Aiden starts to have doubts not about his love for Julie but if he can be the man she needs. Julia Harris is a well-known actress. She is currently Hollywood’s golden girl, and while her life is spent mostly in the public eye, she is more down to earth than people know. Aiden Morrissey is a production assistant, he’s spent time around celebrities, but none have caught his eye quite like Julia Harris. There is something about her that he can’t ignore. As the two get closer, their feelings become harder to deny. They decide that it’s best to keep their relationship secret, however best laid plans rarely every work out the way we hope. When Julia and Aiden’s relationship is thrust into the spotlight can Aiden handle the lack of privacy?
This is the first book I’ve read by the duo Claire Raye and the blurb for this book had me intrigued from the jump. When I finally read the book I was not disappointed. This book gives some insight into the downside of fame. It isn’t all glamour and glitz when your privacy is taken away and every move is being scrutinized by someone. Aiden and Julia got to develop their love outside of the spotlight, and to watch that love blossom was amazing to read. I really love finding new authors, so when Claire Raye contacted me to see if I wanted to read Beautiful Secret I jumped at the chance. I’m not usually a fan of Hollywood romances but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Julia is Hollywood’s current golden girl, but is the exact opposite of the stereotypical actress, maintaining her down to earth attitude and need for anonymity. She is kind, humble and very relatable. Aiden is a production assistant who is used to being in the background, but is also a talented screenwriter. He is easy going, protective and vulnerable.
Claire Raye has effortlessly brought awareness to the issues within Hollywood in regards to women in the industry and the misconstrued ideals of what an appropriate relationship is.
Julia and Aiden’s story shows you the struggle of starting and maintaining a relationship in the public eye and dealing with the assumptions of ulterior motives in a work placed romance. Everything that Julia and Aiden go through is so realistic and raw, and my heart broke for them in some instances. I loved watching this couple fall in love and my heart broke when they struggled with the burdens of a high profiled relationship.

This story describes the battle that the celebrities take every day to stay sane in the craziness of their constant invasion of their privacy by paparazzi, people magazines and TV shows.
You can also call it, what you see and hear in the news is never what the reality in fact is.
This is a beautiful, heart-warming and sweet love story between a famous Hollywood actress and a production assistant and the consequences of their relationship.

Beautiful secret is a wonderfully written, heart wrenching book. It really pulls you in and shows you the cost of being in the limelight and how hard it is for people and their relationships.
This book looks at the relationship of Julia (the starlet) and Aiden (a production assistant) and what they must do to be together when faced with the storm of the media. Julia and Aiden are perfect for each other, they really seem to understand each other and their relationship is often relatable when you’re reading. It also shows the reader what it is like to be behind the scenes when you are thrust into the limelight and how everything is not what it seems.
A beautifully written novel for any romance fans out there.

There really is not enough to say about this novel. Claire Raye has provided an emotionally charged, captivating narrative that will resonate with readers long after the final sentence is read. The characters are beautifully crafted and relatable in a way that will leave readers pulling for them the whole way through. Raye has flawlessly delivered a message of empathy and self-worth through her characters that ultimately provides an altruistic aspect to the entire storyline. Loved the perspective. Loved the book. 5 stars.

I'm so happy I received an Arc copy❤️❤️ This is my third book by Claire Raye. And even this one didn't fail to pull me right into it. I read it in one sitting and finished it in like 2-3 hours. I loved it❤️❤️❤️ It showed the reality of Hollywood, the paparazzi and other medias. It showed how they can do anything to just get a scoop and how the news they share is soo wrong and completely different from the truth most of the time. Most importantly it shows that famous people can be normal too. They can want a normal life. It shows that people can do so much for love. I loved Julia and Aiden. They're amazing characters with so much emotion. It's so realistic!! And Julia's secretary❤️❤️ I can't wait for the next book to come out!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ This book definitely deserves 5 stars❤️❤️❤️

This book is full of drama, angst, and an undeniable attraction and chemistry. Aiden and Julia are an unlikely match because of the different lives that they lead. They endure alot of unfavorable obstacles and they have to fight so they can keep standing. I hoped so hard for these two because they are without a doubt made for each other. My heart ached for them. You will want to devour this in one sitting because you NEED to know how Aiden and Julia end up. I can't wait for the next book in the Dirty Hollywood Series!

I'm not usually one for half ratings but this book will be my first. I LOVED this book!
I had never heard of @claire_raye_author until I saw the cover of the third book in this series around social media and was just thinking how absolutely stunning it was. So imagine my surprise / delight upon finding that there are other books in this series that have stunning covers themselves.
Also imagine my delight when I find that I am absolutely in love with this book. Claire Ray you have a new fan.
I can tell within the first few sentences / paragraphs whether I'm going to like a book. And it's not about the content but it's about the cadence of the writing. There is probably some fancy-schmancy technical writing term for that but I think of it as cadence and tempo.
When an author uses short, abrupt sentences, it stops my train of thought it doesn't allow my brain to develop the context of the scene.
I was 30% into this book before I came up for air. I had me hook, like, sinker and I finally had to put it down because it was an hour and a half past my bedtime!

It's been so long since I've read a genuine Hollywood story and damn if I din't devour this book in one sitting! GAH! The Girl Power Dynamic Duo strikes again and I freaking LOVE THAT! For once, the Hollywood star is NOT the dashing leading man but the strong, powerful and amazingly talented, leading lady, Julia Harris. And out hero is the adorably nerdy and extremely sexy and thoughtful and down to earth Aiden Morrissey. Cue the endless swooning. There goes my nerdy little heart.
This book is another example of why I love this best friends writer duo. It's all about the girl power. It might have been as prominent as it was in their Pin-Up Pilot book but I loved the fact that heroine was more famous, more powerful if you will between the main characters and I loved even more the fact that instead of stepping on her to further his career, he supports her wholeheartedly and is willing to step into the spotlight and prop her up and support her despite his uneasiness and general destain of the public eye.
I hate that this book ended and I wanted more DAMMIT!!! I wanna start the next one but I'm still not over this book so I didn't even read the sneak peek of Book 2 in the series because I wanted to stay in Julia's and Aiden's world just a little bit longer.

A cute little book that has you entertained and interested in all the characters from the start. I love Julia and her real view on life considering how many lights are shining on her. And Marcus just seems to be a great guy who's found the girl that makes his heart flutter. I love the dymanic between Marcus and his brother and the banter that they have.

‘Beautiful Secret’ is the latest sweet romance by Claire Raye, and I was lucky enough to be given an advance reader copy.
The book is about Julia Harris, a famous American actress who travels to London in order to star in her latest film ‘Darkness Falling’. What she does not expect is to bump into production assistant Aiden Morrissey, and have her world changed.
I loved the initial meet cute moment of Julia and Aiden’s first encounter, it was a brief meeting of little conversation, but an instant zing of electric chemistry that drew them to one another. As a reader it sparked my attention, and made me eager to see how their relationship developed.
Aiden is sweet, but assumes he understands Julia, believing she is a typical Hollywood actress who looks down her nose at him, when really she is far from it. She is normal in her views and approaches to things, and is known as a slightly awkward celebrity from her nerves at being interviewed.
Aiden is an aspiring scriptwriter, attempting to work his way up the ranks of the film industry, never assuming that someone such as the great Julia Harris could be interested in him, and when they realise that something is brewing between them, they try desperately hard to keep it a secret. But what happens when the truth finally comes out?
This book was an entertaining read, and very realistic in its approach. I liked Julia as a character, and felt her concerns over Aiden and his future were valid, and you hate how she has to pretend to be a certain way around her co-stars and on set.
I loved the cute side story of Ava, Julia’s assistant, and I can’t wait for her story!
I love Claire Raye’s easy to adapt to writing style that makes you fall in love with her characters and believe in their love stories, and this book was the idea read for any romance lover.

Why have I not read this author duo before?? Have I been living under a rock? When I was offered a chance to Beautiful Secret, I didn’t really know what I was going to get from the book and the authors.
I was blown away with this story. It hooked its claws into me and I just couldn’t put down this book once I started reading. It is a beautifully written love story set in the Movie industry.
We meet Julia and Aiden and get to experience their journey and what a sweet romantic journey. Now it wouldn’t be Hollywood without any drama and this book has that. Claire Raye was able to craft realistic characters and the struggles that many actors and their families go through in the public eye. Finding love is never easy but being an Oscar winning Actress comes with so many more problems.
From the initial meeting to the end of the book you can feel the chemistry between our main characters, their love for each other offered what all romance readers want, swoony worthy romance. I loved this couple so much and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. They each had their strengths and weaknesses but together they complemented each other beautifully.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this book. Claire Raye work amazingly well together and I can’t wait to read more of their work. If you're looking for a sweet Hollywood romance, then be sure to check out Beautiful Secret.

Ok so I’ll admit, Hollywood & rock star tropes aren’t on the top of my priority list when it comes to romance. I prefer sports or bully. But the truth is I’ve read that many of my preferred trope that I’m starting to get a bit bored of it. So when the chance came to read something out of my normal preference I couldn’t wait.
But this was so different to the other Hollywood romance books I’ve read because this book is more real, it shows us not just the glamorous side but the ugly side to it too. How press intrusion can effect you.

WRONG!! Beautiful Secret is not what you’d expect. It is everything and more. From the opening line I was hooked and invested in Aiden and Julia’s story. I rooted for them. Loved they didn’t get along at first. I love a enemies-to-lovers tropes and felt this was the perfect storm of lust, emotion, chemistry and angst. I highly recommend checking this story out. Find out if Julia and Aiden are able to keep their new found love affair going without being ousted. Will they get the HEA they’ve always wanted?
Final thoughts…
Raye is a new-to-me author that I felt outdid herself with her writing. I’m a new fan and will check out all current and futures works from her. Happy reading!!

I have to be honest; I was a little nervous before I started Beautiful Secret by Claire Raye. I was nervous because the story is about a Hollywood starlet and the lowly producer assistant. I was worried because this type of trope seems to be very popular lately, and after reading Claire Raye's last book, I wanted this one to do well too.
I need not have worried.
Claire Raye has a way of taking a story and making it less about the goings-on around the characters and all about the two people themselves. Yes, you still know that Julia is a starlet, but more than that, you know who she really is. Strong and overly kind with a good head on her shoulders for being in the spotlight 24/7. Aiden is a little nerdy but utterly sweet, and you instantly fall in love with him.
Beautiful Secret is a charming new romance that I think everyone will enjoy.

What a book! Claire Raye does such a phenomenal job of showcasing the ups and downs of falling in love in Hollywood, what kind of toll having a relationship in the spotlight can really do to people. This is a beautifully written and absolutely captivating look into the lives of a Hollywood starlet and a production assistant, two people who try to fight their feelings but eventually give in to the love that's developing (as they should've, because they make one incredible couple). Watching this couple fall in love, fall apart, and figure it all out (in more ways than one) had my nose in this book until way past my bedtime. I love the main characters' development, love the secondary characters (even when they made me raving mad), and love the setting and the realism that floats throughout the pages. I can't wait for the second book in this series, because this one was AMAZING.

Beautiful Secret by Claire Raye was incredible! The relationship of Aiden and Julia was electric! I genuinely enjoyed every second of it. I laughed, and cried so much (in a good way!) Aiden and Julia’s relationship helped put into to perspective how often we as fans (of anything really,) take for granted how much these celebrities give of themselves-to us, to the medias. Everything from Beautiful Secret was so eloquently written. I found myself going through this emotional rollercoaster with Aiden and Julia. Julia was so sweet, sensitive, but so mature given her lifestyle. Aiden was so protective, brilliant, and witty. They were each other’s puzzle piece.
Even though, this was the first book I read by The Claire Raye duo, I can’t wait to read another!
It was such an honor to get to read Beautiful Secret! It was definitely a story I could see myself reading again and again.

Aiden and Julia get off on the wrong foot but are able to get past it and soon realize their feelings for each other. They attempt to keep their relationship a secret but when they are outed, will they be able to stay strong in the spotlight or will they crumble.
They have great chemistry, even in the beginning when things weren’t going so great with them, and I just wanted to see them flourish together. I loved both of these characters from first meeting them and also loved that this story was about a female that was higher up in the industry than the male.
Julia and Aidens story was emotional and fascinating. I was enamored with them throughout the book and could not put it down!

Wow. What a story. This story is emotional, heartbreaking and just beautiful. I love Aiden and Julia. Julia the hot superstar actress that everyone wants to know who's she with and dating. Aiden is behind the scenes with production. Not wanting anyone to interfere with their relationship they try to keep it a secret at first. Can these two make it work in the real world? I love how this story captured my attention from the beginning. I was emotionally invested with Aiden and Julia and rooting for them. Get ready to swoon and root for these two. This story was so fun to read and I can't wait for another book by Claire Raye!! This is a must read.

I love Julia Harris! She is kind and does not let being famous change her. She never acts like she is more than anyone else like some people think a famous actress would...cough cough looking at you Aiden!
Aiden is a production assistant who would never think he would end up romancing the likes of Julia Harris. These two are so sweet together you can just feel impending doom and heartbreak as the reality of the cons of fame start to swarm.
At the end of the day no matter who you are you figure out how to make it work if you really love someone.
Now I’m waiting to see what happens with Ava!
