They brought out the worst in each other.

Zoe had known Reece Macadam since she was a child. He had provided comfort and encouragement and taught her about the sea and sailing - but damned if he was going to run her life now!

She considered his taste in women terrible - and it came as a shock to discover that her feelings for him stemmed from love.

If Reece ever found out about that he'd be vastly amused, because Zoe was sure he would always regard her as the little brat in constant need of rescuing....

"Storm Cycle" is the story of Zoe and Reece.

Zoe has known Reece since she was a child, and bought to live with her grandparents. He was her first crush, the provider of first spanking and subsequently the focus of her hatred. They have always been like oil and water, yet at 19 Zoe is still innocent, seeing hoards of women stroll in and out of Reece's life.
Working for two years as his secretary, things start changing as Zoe finds herself feeling resentment for Reece's women- and finds herself confronted by an angry Reece when anyone tries to court her. Is their fragile relationship growing into much more?

Sweet romance with super innocent heroine who could not recognize her feelings, much less the hero's; a jealous and obsessed hero; loads of OW drama; some manipulation and lovemaking leading to a HEA.

I do like May-December romances- but the idea that their love has been there since she was a kid, yet he went around with OW was discomforting (I don't expect him to be celibate for 10 years or so but he could have stopped once the h was legal, if he was so into her). I did enjoy their banter, but the H always got the upper hand, the h rarely rebelled, and in the end he got his way, due to her stupidity.

Meh.

A fun and entertaining read. However, not one of my favorites by this author. Hero was rough and tough, but thoroughly delicious. Heroine was a bit of a ninny at times and really dragged the story down.

This is one of those May/December romances with the hero being 15+ years older than the heroine. They have known each other forever and now she works for him as his secretary. Sparks fly as they carry on a love/hate relationship that turns into a MOC when

This one was high on the angst and very intense, just the way I like my HPs. If the heroine had been stronger, this would have really rocked.

I really liked this one the H was pretty darn awesome and the h had lots of potential but I do feel like she could have been even better as she more or less has him wrapped round her finger. She needed to grow a spine as her running away was just urgh! I'd totally have taken him on the H was lovely

This book had it all and a marriage of convenience. The hero clearly loved her from the beginning. They got caught out in a storm after he told her he needed some space after their last heated argument. She stow away and saves his life they get landed on an island over night. It was a great story and with a few misunderstanding to keep it interesting. A book worth picking up. I would have loved an epilogue with a few kids however you just knew they are going to last and last. Sweet.

When you're a 30 something guy with lots of notches on your bedpost, don't be surprised when the 19 year-old you're in love with doesn't understand that your blow-hot, blow-cold behavior.

Heroine was a typical teenaged HP heroine. She thought the sexual tension between her and her boss at the boatyard was just incompatibility. Oh, they were fine when they sailed together or they danced. But hero was so snappy. LOL

There's an OW and a snobby mother on the hero's side. Heroine has an overbearing grandfather and all the men at the boatyard to who dote on her.

When H/h are stranded during a storm on a deserted island, their marriage is forced. Heroine thinks hero doesn't love her. Hero thinks heroine is uncertain and he doesn't want to push her. After a honeymoon in Mexico City and a close call boat accident, the hero finally declares himself for an HEA.

This is a misunderstandings romance with all problems solved in a few lines of dialogue. So if that bothers you as a reader, don't bother with this one.

It’s a vintage romance, so be warned. You will get; purple prose, stupid arguments, weak heroines, heroines that do stupid things, another woman, alphahole hero!
Seriously though, this book is typical of it’s time, the heroine appears at first to be strong, but turns out to be very childish and naïve, the hero acts like an alphahole, but is hiding his emotions because he doesn’t want the heroine to think him weak.
There is an extremely satisfying scene at the end, where the hero goes after someone trying to hurt the heroine, which is pretty much the best part of the book. The sex scenes are mild, and always make me think of Bollywood movies 😂

As far as vintage romances go, I’ve read better, and a lot worse!

I really liked this book by MP. It has got a touch of humor which is unusual for this author, especially in the beginning. It is May/ December romance. The heroine is nineteen, a virgin, of course, and beautiful. She is very interested in sailing, boats, and has known the hero ever since she was 9 and he was 24. They have similar interests and she is his secretary. She is quite smart in all ways except understanding the hero’s feelings. She gets jealous of the hero’s various GFs and with a few smart words constantly creates trouble between the hero and the gf. The hero is amused at her various ploys. After the Marriage, the book drags a bit. The heroine blows hot and cold in bed. It all ends well at the end as it usual in all romances.I really enjoyed this book.
