Cutter Grogan, called by the Speaker Of The House in Washington, D.C....He has no idea why, and feels a little unsure...Venturing back to a place where many are looking for him...From law enforcement, old enemies and those who had Him placed on the Most Wanted list!...But when the Speaker tells him her problem, he just can NOT say No...Her grand-daughter is missing...She did not call the police, or the FBI...She called a friend, who recommended Cutter...
So you Know that he is In...Even if the streets of D.C. are filled with danger...Cutter will be at his most lethal...It just may Not be enough...But perhaps a little help from some amazing friends will get him over the hump...

The more you spend time with Cutter, the more he grows on you. There's no other way to put it.

Hangfire is undoubtedly another thrill ride for me. The twins with their quirky sense of humour make their presence known on and off.

Zeb's cameo appearance is too short for me though. I know this is all Cutter, but it wouldn't have hurt to have Zeb involved a little longer.

Cutter Grogan Thrillers Book #3

Ty Patterson’s thrillers never disappoint. In this latest we have Cutter in Washington DC answering an urgent request from Amy Breland, Speaker of the House of Representatives, to find her grand-daughter who has gone missing. What he finds ....is political shenanigans...

The action is well paced and very suspenseful. Drop by drop the information unfolds making an intriguing read very hard to put aside. Finding a sex-trafficking ring with high ranking senators and Russian ties can only pique one’s curiosity...those dirty old men...When Cutter, ”the Fixer” starts pocking around he soon turn into the most wanted person in the country.....and we are into a very captivating cat and mouse game.

The plot is cleverly developed and filled with visual imagery and colourful characters. The storyline is a riveting one and could easily be ripped from headlines. This is by far not a boring story from the first chapter till the very last many hurdles are jumped leading into one crazy scene after the other and giving us lots of excitement.

Once again this is a white knuckle thriller that flows well and is played out by smart characters.

I have been a huge fan of this author for years now and enjoyed every single book I had the pleasure to receive for review.

The Series That Just Keeps On Improving!!

This, the Third book in the author's "Cutter Grogan Series", further expands the series, and while there is some "backstory" included I would recommend that you begin at the beginning and read your way through it as I do not feel it works well as a complete "standalone" book. That however is just this readers opinion. Then it is a "series" after all.

Well written. Excellent plot structure, and there are no "plot holes" in this book. It is thrilling without being absurd. The characters seem real enough to touch, and of course with all of Ty Patterson's various villains, they are villainous. Read the author's "Book Blurb" for more details that do not include spoilers...Don't you just hate "review spoilers"? I certainly do, and that's why I write such brief reviews, I do not wish to spoil the book for another reader.

That said, I HIGHLY Recommend this book, (this recommendation applies not only to this one, but also to the entire series). Yes I've read them all.

Excellent job Mr. Patterson! When you write the next one I, for one, shall be waiting. Thank you, and stay safe, and well.

I loved “Hangfire” by Ty Patterson, the third in the series about Cutter Grogan. Cutter is asked by the Speaker of the House to find her granddaughter, a journalist who has disappeared after investigating a sex trafficking ring. No ransom has been demanded and the Speaker is worried about police and FBI corruption. Cutter’s police friends/enemies Diflore and Quindica, who are working with the FBI, are assigned to the case after Cutter’s recommendation.
One can appreciate Cutter much better if you can read the first two books of the series because you can then understand Cutter’s excellent qualities and foibles, although “Hangfire” is a stand-alone novel.
The plot structure is excellent and the villains are either terrifying or gullible and, after a lot of high octane expeditions with fist-pounding and shootouts and some wonderful detective work, Cutter finally finds justice for all with a little help from Beth, Meghan, and Zeb Carter's team and reluctant help from Diflore and Quindica.
“Hangfire” is extraordinarily good with lots of action and a fast-paced story and I’m looking forward to the next Cutter Grogan novel.

In this book, Cutter Grogan takes on a case involving the Speaker of the House, Congressman, Senators, and some very bad people. The Speaker of the House's granddaughter has disappeared while working on a story. Tasked with finding out what has happened to her Cutter finds himself working simultaneously on the case with Diflore and Quindica, while trying not to be arrested (or shot) by them! The case will take some twists and turns that you may not expect. As the information unfolds the well-paced action and bullets flying will keep you glued to the pages. With some help from Beth, Meghan, and Zeb Carter's team, Cutter will bring the case to a close and justice to those who deserve it.
Ty Patterson brings an excellent writing style to the Action Suspense genre. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more.

Is this fact or fiction?

Political thrillers offer scary situations. This one is using some real-life and writing a plausible what-really-happened. Doesn't matter what side of the incident you are on it will make you think.

The story is action-packed, has amazing characters fans have met in other books by the author. Fiction, reality, evil bad guys. You will have a hard time putting it down until finished. Don't think you know what's going on until the end. As always, Ty Patterson will keep you guessing and understanding why some characters are annoyed yet respect The Fixer. Cutter Grogan never fails to keep us guessing. Enjoy.

When Cutter is on the case, you can count on him to get answers no matter what obstacles are in his way. So when the Speaker of the House of Representatives granddaughter goes missing, she calls on Cutter for help finding Lauren. There aren't many clues and since no ransom demand has been received, the thought is her disappearance must be related to a story she was working on. But what was the story? And the more Cutter investigates, the more twists he finds and seemingly unrelated events turn out to be connected. This is another one of those books you won't want to put down once you start reading.

Another stupendous read in this series!! Cutter agrees to help an extremely powerful politician whose granddaughter a highly coveted reporter has been kidnapped.Grogan came highly recommended to her. He never fails and doesn't disappoint on this case. Politicians are being bought. A sex ring is being utilized. Most of the women are under aged. The Russians now have powerful connections, influence and can sabotage or influence elections. Non stop action. Intrigue from the first to last page!!! Enjoyed immensely!!!!My highest recommendation!!

Cutter Grogan gets a call from the speaker of the house and is soon dropped into the middle of mayhem as a result. Tracking down criminals in a sex-trafficing ring, Grogan soon finds himself in a much deeper enterprise. Action abounds and the story moves at a fast pace to keep you reading.

Enjoyed Hangfire on a bright October beach day. It has a very 2021 backdrop with Russian election interference & a Capitol insurrection. I’ll probably try another one in this series, but am not convinced yet that I’ll read them all.

I was lucky enough to have gotten a ARC copy of this book from the author. I am volunteering to leave this review. I do not know how Mr. Patterson does it but best book yet. Definitely a edge of your seat page turner.
