So, my Chihuahua humped a bear. Excuse me, a giant, bear-like dog.
Now the bear’s scorching hot owner is on my case, demanding an STD test... for my pet.
Another problem with this dog-on-dog molestation? The bear’s mysterious owner may be the key to funding my new venture and taking my toys company to the next level. And by “toys,” I mean the fun kind, the kind every woman (and man) needs.
If only I could figure out what he’s hiding—or get my libido to behave. Because mixing business and pleasure is a bad idea, and Dragomir Lamian may not be who he seems.
NOTE: This is a standalone, raunchy, slow-burn romantic comedy featuring a confident, toy-obsessed heroine who knows every Russian superstition under the sun, her meet-cute with a hot, mysterious stranger, and two oversexed dogs, one of which may have a special toy of his own. If any of the above is not your cup of tea, run away now. Otherwise, buckle in for a laugh-out-loud, feel-good ride.
I love writing humor (often the inappropriate kind), happy endings (both kinds), and characters quirky enough to be called oddballs (because... balls). If you love your romance heavy on the comedy and feel-good vibes, visit mishabell.com and sign up for my newsletter.
Again, the comedy part is super funny. And that is pretty much it about this Hard Ware. I wish there is more into the story. But I got only comedy part.
Miss Bell done a pretty good job bringing Belle alive. She is pretty much a confident woman who takes the world with humor. I like her. I wish I have a BFF like her.
This was an entertaining read! It was a silly and just had me laughing out loud a lot. I think it's pretty funny that the Belka sex toys were a big part of this book when they were also a big part of book 1.
The heroine, Bella is the creator of the company and I love that she took pride her company. There was no shame at all. Everyone's reactions to her gifting her products was another funny part to the book.
Despite being proud of her company, she had a really good reason to keep that knowledge from Dragomir. I had a feeling he wouldn't mind though. Their meet que was funny and adorable, as well as the very, mismatched dog romance. Fun read!
This story had me laughing so hard I was crying! It was light and fluffy, but serious and sexy! Bella, who we met in Hard Code, is a creator of sex toys. One day, walking her dog in a park, she meets a very handsome stranger, but not in a nice way! And it is so hilarious! Dragomir is a business man and they happen to meet again, for reasons that would spoil the book and I will not reveal, and it just gets funnier, sexier, and so spectacularly outrageous. Absolutely loved this story!
Audiobook: Narrators - Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton
Ms. Erickson did an excellent job of making this story come alive in an even more hysterical way than just reading it did. Her French accent for her chihuahua was hilarious. Just the rhythm in which she performed this story had me smiling. That’s the type of voice she has...it’s going to make you feel whatever she wants you to feel and that’s exactly what happened with this book.
This was a fun, smexy read. A perfect feel good story made even better with the addition of dogs and devices of the most risque kind.
Bella was so much fun. I loved that she embraced what could potentially be an embarrassing career with enthusiasm. Her quirky behaviors and beliefs had me grinning throughout the book. The fact that she was able to throw her voice, like a ventriloquist, raised the humor and the voice that she gave her dog, Boner, had me loving everything about her. She was hilariously delightful!
This is written from Bella's point of view so I missed connecting with Dragomir, the hero. I was unable to discern much about him if he didn’t vocalize it. Until it came to his own dog, Winnie. The set up was a perfect meet cute that led to more. I found it all absolutely adorable.
This is a fast paced story with low angst and secondary characters that were primarily Winnie and Boner. I read it in one sitting and loved it all as it left me smiling and ready for what the world wanted to toss at me.

This story was exactly what I needed: a light and funny read with some steamy scenes. Something easy-to-read to just forget all the problems for a few hours. But to be honest I think the first one of the series was better than this... i don't really know why but something missed especially in the second half of the book which should have been better than the first one. Still recommended it tho.
3,5 stars. This book was funny, but it felt so much the same as Hard Code. It had again testing sex toys, again playdates with their pets, again dinner with the family with the performances and again entering Alex’s workplace with the shooting game. For me this one lacked originality.
I liked the hero and heroine, they were again amazing. Only told from the heroine’s POV. but I did got to know the hero better than Vlad in Hard Code. Their pets were adorable, especially the little stud Boner. 😍 I’m not sure what the secrecy about her sex toys company was about. She wasn’t shy about it, even gifting friends and family, so why be mysterious about it? I don’t think this was clarified, otherwise I must have missed this chapter in the book.
Something in this book annoyed me. I already read Royally Tricked as a standalone, because it isn’t part of the Hard Stuff series. I was totally unaware that Royally Tricked is a major spoiler for Hard Ware. The hero Dragomir in Hard Ware hides a secret, which left me in the unknown UNTIL he went to visit his brother Trigger who’s in a coma, aka the hero of Royally Tricked who is a… tadatadaaa ROYAL. This spoiled Dragomir’s secret for me, because he clearly was hiding him being a prince himself.
I’m already looking forward to Alex’s book since Hard Code, so I sincerely hope this one doesn’t let me down and will be a 5 stars read again. 🙏🏻
Safe read. Hero not a manwhore. No cheating, OW/OM drama or sex with OP.

Bella Chortsky has been multi-tasking. She’s been using her Kegel balls while out walking her Chihuahua named Bonaparte (“Boner” for short). Bella is a sex toy developer and these Kegel balls are her own design, with “enhanced” features. When Boner suddenly falls for a beautiful bear (that’s bear dog -Google it!) in the middle of Central Park, Bella is caught between saving her little best friend from the massive jaws of his new love interest and maintaining her personal “meditation balls” discretely in their very intimate location. Alas, one look at the bear’s outrageously handsome owner and the battle to control her impending orgasm is lost! The most hilarious meet cute sets the stage for the next fabulously funny and lovable rom-com from Misha Bell.
The bear’s owner is Dragomir Lamian and not only does he expect Bella to get Boner tested for STD’s, he is unexpectedly a potential investor in Bella’s next product development! She finds him delectable and irresistible but, what is he hiding?
I adore Bella! She thinks men in turtlenecks are sexy. She’s an MIT-educated engineer but believes in every existing Russian superstition. She’s a dog ventriloquist. She’s an ice princess (think Elsa) but she has a wicked sense of humour. All her facets made me love her. And I’m in love with Bella with Dragomir! And their pets, Boner and Winnie. This adventure just wouldn’t be as ridiculously funny without Boner and Winnie!
(This opinion is sincerely given in exchange for an author provided ARC.)
Book I've read this year. I read on average a book a day and read a lot of the fee offerings. If this had been a free one I would have deleted it, but I actually paid money for this one. 1. In the write up you shouldn't tout how ridiculously funny a book is if it cannot T deliver. It was ridiculous, not funny. 2. The plot was ludicrous. 3. The characters were unlikable and unbelievable. 4. The sex scenes were dull. 5. This book was bad enough that I wrote down the author name to make sure I didn't read anything else by this duo Totally disappointed.
Bella is out walking her small dog when they run into a bear of a dog and it’s handsome owner. At first impression he’s rude and arrogant but after her dog manages to impregnate his they exchange numbers only a mishap happens and Bella loses any way to contact the hunky dog owner. Not long after she is at a meeting with a company who may invest in a business venture with her and her brother when she meets the CEO who happens to be the hunky dog owner Dragomir. The two start seeing more of each other and soon develop feelings for one another but both are keeping secrets. This book was hilarious and I loved the characters both separately and together. Bella was a strong sexual independent woman who was really smart and very funny she complemented Dragomir who was stoic and mysterious with a playful caring side. They really brought out the best in one another. I was also excited to see Alex and Vlad and their parents again as well as Fanny.
Estuvo entretenido pero me gustó más el primero, la verdad está corto y spicy 10/10 mi única queja es el comportamiento infantil de Bella al final pero x bastante entretenido y rápido de leer
I genuinely feel like there’s no real storyline here. No comedy either. Just very very flat book/characters with a limp romantic connection.
A lot of focus was spent on their dogs connecting/mating/birthing. The h gave her dog a *voice* and imitated what she thought it would be saying to her.
Bella Chortsky is a sex toy developer. A very successful one. She also likes to try her own product. So one day, she is walking her dog Bonaparte ("Boner", for short) in the park while she is trying out her improved Kegel balls. The last thing she expected was that her chihuahua would fall in instalust with a ginormous dog and manage to hump her! Add to all this that the dog's owner is one hunk of a man and Bella sees herself in the middle of a massive orgasm (those damn balls work!!) induced by the sight of him. In the midst of the mayhem, her "meditation ball" (she's calling them that and sticking to it!!) falls to the floor and Winnie immediately eats it! The outraged owner had already demanded that Boner be tested for STDs because he assaulted his precious dog and now this. Now that's a meet cute!
But, as in true romantic comedy fashion, Bella loses the cup where Dragomir Lamian wrote his phone number and she can't contact him re the test results. Or anything else.
Bella goes on about her life (even though she does try to find him in the park) and it's time to meet her new investor. She goes to the meeting to pitch her new VR suit (yes, this is going to be a very special VR suits, ladies and gentlemen!) and guess who the potential investor is! Dragomir, who demands immediately that they leave the meeting and go test Boner!
Bella is completelty smitten by the mysterious Dragomir and she's been having all sorts of crazy thoughts: is he from the Russian mafia? Is he married? Why can't she find anything about him anywhere?
I loved these characters! Bella is a hoot! She's a ventriloquist and she uses that to give voice to Boner and he's got a French accent and everything. I loved all the Russian superstitions under the sun and found out that quite a few of them belong to my own culture.
When we find out who Dragomir really is, it's more fun than you'd expect. He's perfect for the Elsa from Frozen super-fan!
Super-fun read! It's book 2 in a series but it can definitely read as a standalone.
Superb narration by Ava Erickson with an added epilogue by the wonderful Teddy Hamilton.
Hard Ware is a fun and quirky romance with the best superstitions and two dog-loving owners whose banter is hysterical!
Bella is the owner of Belka, a sex toy company breaking the lead in fun sex toy technology. She’s looking for investors to create a new line of sex toys centred around the VR head sets. Her brothers, Vlad and Alex will gladly jump on board, but she needs more investors. Bella is also a dog enthusiast and loves her little chihuahua, Boner. Bella has everything going on for her, an MIT graduate, a business woman and entrepreneur; she is fun and entertaining to be around, her brothers adore her but she feels like she can never measure up to her parents’ standards of success, she also thinks that men may find her career a bit intimidating and has had some bad luck in the dating world. To top it off, she is one hell of a superstitious person, I think she gets it from her mama 😉 (she puts my mom’s crazy superstitions to shame).
While walking her dog Boner at the park, Bella always assess other doggy threats and sure enough, a dog she calls “bear” zeros in on her little Boner. The two dogs get into a heated interlude while at the park and insults starts flying between bear’s owner and Bella. Let me add that bear’s owner is one hunky hunk of a man and while Bella wants to chew him up, she might not want to spit him out, even if he is annoying her. Add in the ventriloquism and the fact that she is wearing her vibrating Kegel balls and you have one hilarious scene after another. Bella’s life seems like it’s one superstitious bad luck scenario after another. But, this doesn’t scare off bear’s owner - despite his stoicism - and in fact, it’s Boner and bear’s (Winnie) “interlude” that brings Bella right back into the clutch’s of the mysterious and handsome owner of Winnie.
I loved HARD WARE! Seriously, every superstitious act had me in stitches, I laughed so much and understood so many of the superstitions Bella believed in! My husband asked me what had me chuckling so often! This was a fun read and I loved Bella and Dragomir’s story!
PHENOMENALLY funny, punny, and STEAMY! A total MUST-BUY! I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard in my life! Misha Bell’s droll and sarcastic pokes at modern romance tropes is total hilarity wrapped up in a beautiful story of love. HARD WARE by Misha Bell is first and foremost a romantic MUST-READ that I promise will have you smiling, giggling, and laughing out loud! Not even the names of the characters have been saved from the puns! During a time when many are craving something to laugh about Misha Bell has published two hilarious novels that entertain with a believable story wrapped up in sidesplitting dialogue and angst delivered in dual narration. In fact, Bella’s penchant for ventriloquism had me laughing so hard, it was hard to breathe. After reading HARD CODE, the first novel in this Workplace Romantic Comedy series, I couldn’t imagine that any other book in the series could be as upbeat and funny, but Misha Bell proved me wrong with HARD WARE! It has everything a modern romance should; worthy characters, believable settings and situations, and prose that will pull a reader so far into the story that one becomes unwilling or unable to pause until the last word is read. HARD WARE is also one of those books which should go into the FAVORITES collection on your Kindle because you’ll want to read it again and again. While I volunteered to read an early copy of HARD WARE, I have already pre-ordered a copy to support this extremely talented writing pair. Additionally, I wish I could award more than the cap of 5 stars, but since I can’t, this 5+STARS recommendation and my voluntary review will have to suffice. HARD WARE is brilliant, hilarious, and STEAMY enough to satisfy any romance reader. Nothing is sacred or out of bounds for Bella and her fellow dog lover Dragomir. ABSOLUTELY nothing! I can’t say more without exposing . . . ummm, I mean giving away some of what made HARD WARE so PHENOMENAL! Get your copy of HARD WARE today! Happy pages! 😉
It all started when a Chihuahua molested a bear and from then on, there was a lot of laughter. I lied, the laughter started earlier. Best of all were the voices of the dogs, "Ma chérie" will forever be associated with Bonner. I don't give it five stars because I found some chapters (there were too many) a bit boring.
