Two more weeks. Surely, I can survive fourteen days.

Olivia
Working for my temporary boss sucks.
I used to think he was drop dead gorgeous.
Now, I wish he’d just drop dead.
He might have all the other women in the office fooled, but I’ve gotten to know the real man.
And he’s the devil in disguise. I swear his eyes even glow red.
One second he’s sweet and kind, the next he’s a jerk.
His hot and cold attitude is getting old. I’m over it.

Marcus
She’s got me tied in so many knots, I don’t know if I’m coming or going.
After watching my dad sleep his way through every secretary in his company, I always swore I’d never follow in his footsteps.
Too bad, my heart doesn’t remember that promise when it goes and falls for my temporary PA.
Now, I’ve got to decide if I’m going to man up and get over it or stay the boss from hell forever.

Marcus has his work cut out for him but he won’t give up on his girl. He’s going to do whatever it takes to prove to Olivia that he’s all in. This boss from hell is about to become the love of her life.

If you like over-the-top, insta-love romance with a little bit of humor, this short romance is the perfect story for you.

This one is pretty fast pace some steamy.

Olivia is temporarily Marcus PA since his brother who he works with has his PA. Right off the bad there is tension since Marcus is a jerk to Olivia because he has feelings for her but he can't mess with that since his father did that and cheated on their mother. So thats his reason for not going after her. And being a jerk. But few times he is a sweet guy then turns back to cold.

Olivia is tired of the hot/cold so she does something and is rejected. So shes glad that her original boss is back because she needs to mend her broken heart... until Marcus man's up.

There’s nothing in the world like holding her soft, curvy body close and knowing she belongs to me.

As soon as I saw Ms. Ree was writing another boss/employee story, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I love when she writes about an alpha jerk who pushes the h away then realizes his mistake. The chase and grovel is what I most look forward to and this author almost always gives me my fix. The h doesn't immediately give in and makes him work for it too, which is always a huge plus for me. No OM/OW drama, no mention of either past, no abuse, epilogues at 11 months and another 9 months.

Over it loni ree

Wowwww... quick hot safe romance stories like this is always fun to read! not too quick and not boring at all. I’m intrigued by this type of stories!

SAFE LOVE STORY

NO CHEATING

NO SEPARATION

NO DRAMA WITH OW AND OM

NO TALKING ABOUT THE PAST OR PAST PARTNERS

NO VIRGINS

THE HERO IS OTT POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ROMANTIC ALPHA MALE!

The hero did push the heroine away but not too many where is annoying, not annoying at all. The hero only push like two times, one directly to her face and second in like emotionally way of not talking and speaking to the heroine after they shared one first kiss. The hero have issues that i totally understand... I’M SO HAPPY WHEN HE APOLOGIZE TO THE HEROINE IN SUCH A ROMANTIC WAY AND EVEN MAKE IT UP TO HER! Wow. Also when this happens, is before they even dated. When they finally officially together no pushing away from both.

VERY HOT SMUT SCENES

MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO THAT I FIND TO BE VERY FUNNY! No jealous scenes from the heroine tho.... but it’s fine lol

“The thought of this girl spending the evening with another man drives me mad”

“Every f*cking as*hole in this place stops to stare at her, and I fought the urge to shield her from their view”

“I pray the night flies by without me ending up behind bars for smashing some f*ckers face in for staring at my girl.”

And many more. Its so hot!

The hero is obsessed with the heroine it’s so freakin hot.

HAPPY ENDING! Got married and she’s pregnant. So in love!

I love a office romance that includes a sassy, confident heroine and an alpha over the top boss that is about to meet his match.
Olivia an executive assistant and is very good at her job until her boss's brother becomes her temporary boss and makes her life a living hell. He requires long hours, doesn't indulge in conversations with her and keeps her at a distance but wants her under his thumb. She has two more weeks and then he is finally out of her hair.
Marcus is one of the bosses in the family business and he has never had a problem keeping his private life in check until her. Olivia drives him crazy and with each moment he spends with her the more he wants her. So instead of telling her he makes her life miserable. That certainly gets her attention in the wrong way! His father was once in charge of this company and was a terrible cheat and made his way through all of his employees but Marcus will not be like him. It is soon apparent that this is more than a crush. They will both need to figure this out before it burns them both! Let the office games begin.

I liked this story. It was short but entertaining and enjoyable with a few exceptions. The characters were easy to relate to and likable. Granny Sue cracked me up. She was a great addition to the story. Olivia likes her boss, but while he is out of town she is forced to work with his brother Marcus. While she is attracted to Marcus, she doesn't like him. Marcus is attracted to Olivia but is fighting it which makes him a really big jerk. While trying to figure out his feelings, Marcus makes several mistakes that cause an even larger rift between them. Once Olivia goes back to working for his brother, Marcus realizes how much he wants and needs to be around her. Marcus cracked me up with all of his self-recrimination. Their happy ever after made me smile. I recommend reading this book.

Holy heck I freaking loved this story. Give me a brooding quite unlovable guy and I am happy.❤❤ Marcus fell for his temporary secretary, but boy did he work against it. 😂😂 Olivia had the patience of a saint😂😂 A sweet, romantic, steamy, safe and funny story to read. Love and lust at first sight but with a few funny struggles throughout the story😍😍😍 Can't wait for Thomas and Ellas story👍👍👍

Olivia Overton has two weeks left working with her normal boss' older brother Marcus Thornton. She was stuck with him because she refused to go to London to work with her boss; so a PA swap it was. Unfortunately, she's almost at her wit's end trying to deal with his growly, rude, plans canceling jerk. Marcus doesn't know what happened, but somehow over the last four weeks, he's gotten obsessed with Olivia, her standing date on Thursdays that he hates, did he say her? He forces her to cancel one Thursday night date, and then plans for a visit to one of their clients in LA that "requires" her to attend. During one of their evening events, a lot of liquid courage and no food, makes Olivia kiss him, thinking it'll all make sense with his now "softer" looks at her. Nope, not the case. Marcus scrambles and says those dreaded words "that should never have happened", crushing Olivia. Marcus doesn't want to repeat his father's mistakes, sleeping with all his female workers (while married), so he is worried about Olivia, his feelings for her and the company fratenization policy. A few days after Olivia goes back to working for her boss, Marcus tells his brother how he feels about Olivia and they come up with a plan and he even finds out about her Thursday dates. But, will Olivia give Marcus a second chance? Over It is a great, quick read by Loni Ree. Reading about a growly alpha man and the non-pushover heroine he is obsessed with is always a great way to spend a bit of time. Loni Ree created a wonderful set of characters again and brought others along for the ride. I cannot wait to see what she does for the other business partners at Thorton and Brunts.

I thought that this was a really good book. Marcus and Olivia were great together. Marcus is the definition of bosshole but he can't really be anything else because he has to hide his feelings somehow. Olivia only puts up with Marcus's hot and cold because she knows that it is only temporary but that she doesn't stop her feelings from growing. Once Marcus is able get over his issues, he his has to work on getting Olivia to forgive him but don't worry these two get a wonderful HEA that is very swoon-worthy! I would recommend this book and Ms. Loni as a great author!

It took him long enough!

I’m a huge fan of Loni Ree’s OTT Alpha heroes. But Marcus takes way too long torturing himself that he cannot date Olivia, an employee in his company. Luckily, a little brotherly advice goes a long way to get Marcus thinking straight about dating his girl. But is his girl willing to listen after being subjected to his boorish behavior? After all, she doesn’t know how tormented he was about falling in love with forbidden fruit.

This is a slow torturous burn to get to the HEA. But it’s a good one!

So first off, can I get a Granny Sue? She was quite the hilarious addition to the story! Ok, secondly, loved the story, even if I really just wanted to shake some sense into Marcus when it first started lol. Lucky for him, Olivia and I both forgave him once we found out why his behavior was so awful, but she’s the one who got her HEA! There were nice little dual epilogues to catch us up on how well Marcus made everything up to her, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole story from beginning to end.

This was a great story, very swoonworthy.
I loved it, how they first annoy each other, he’s acting like a boss from hell just because he doesn’t knowhow to act upon his feelings.
It was cute to see how they found each other and fell in love.
A really nice read!

The bigger the bosshole... the harder they fall

I really enjoyed this story. I loved that the heroine didn't just fall into his arms and spread her legs (for the most part). There was an actual story involved in the falling into his arms and such. There are some time jumps, but you don't feel like anything is missing. Overall, a great read!

Marcus has been lusting over his PA but after his father’s sordid past, he is not looking to repeat his father’s mistakes. Olivia dislikes her cocky boss but can’t help her naughty dreams about him when she finally gets to leave the office as he continuously keeps her late. Marcus can’t stop thinking about Olivia & once they give into the passion between them there is no going back. Marcus knows that she is his future & now he just has to convince Olivia that this is more than just a fling.

A sweet office romance

It starts off a little rocky as the Boss doesn't know how to handle his feelings so he comes off as a big jerk.

Once things are on track it's fill speed ahead for them. They say first comes love, second comes marriage, and third comes baby in a baby carriage. That's exactly the way it goes.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Marcus and Olivia know each other because she's his brother's PA. When Marcus's brothers Thomas Into It needs to take a business trip to London they exchange PA's. So now for the next two weeks Olivia is Marcus's PA. Olivia thinks that Marcus is good looking but he can be a jerk. When Marcus asks Olivia to stay late on a Thursday night, which is the night she goes to see her granny. Olivia tells him she can't she has a date. Marcus tells her she'll have to cancel her date. Marcus gets mad when he finds out she has a date, he wants to ruin all her other dates. So Marcus tells Olivia the following week she needs to with him to LA, and they'll be gone all week. Marcus gives Olivia the company credit card to purchase some clothes for their trip. Olivia goes and buys some revealing dresses, then gets her hair and nails done. Marcus picks up Olivia the next morning to head to LA, he finds out she has a fear of flying so he holds her hand. When they get to the hotel, Marcus takes her right up to the penthouse. Olivia wants to know where her room is and Marcus tells her they'll both be staying in the penthouse. Olivia doesn't understand until Marcus tells her that there's five rooms she can choose from. The next day Olivia comes out in a revealing business dress and Marcus tells her no way she needs to change. Olivia tells him that she can't all her outfits are similar to this one. They head to their meeting and Marcus watches as all the men look at Olivia. After their meeting they head back to the penthouse, Marcus tells her they have a few hours before the gala they should rest. Olivia comes out in a backless dress for the gala, and Marcus thinks she looks beautiful. All the men look at Olivia when she enters the room, while Marcus is talking to his client he sees her dancing with another man. Marcus walks to Olivia, gets between them and tells her she should be working. Olivia stands with Marcus until he is ready to head back to the penthouse. While in the limousine Marcus and Olivia kiss, but then he tells her it was a mistake. The next day Marcus explains to Olivia why they can't date. So he tells Olivia that they should just forget what happened. Marcus tells Olivia they don't have any early meetings the next day so she can sleep in. The next day they are both up early and Marcus orders breakfast for them. The week drags on for Olivia, when they get back to Atlanta Marcus insists on carrying her luggage into her apartment. Marcus tells Olivia to take the next day off and enjoy her weekend. Olivia takes her granny to the movies. Marcus goes to his brother and talks to him about Olivia. Marcus's brother tells him they should change policy about employees dating. When Olivia gets back to work she's back with Thomas, but Marcus comes to see his brother. Marcus asks Olivia if she can stop by his office before she goes home. When Olivia goes to his office he tells her he doesn't care about the rules, he asks her to give him a chance, they can take it slow. Olivia tells him she needs some time to think. Marcus finds out about Olivia's favorite band from his brother. Marcus plans a trip to NYC and gets tickets to Olivia's favorite band. Marcus asks Olivia if she'll go with him and she says yes. On the flight Marcus holds Olivia's hand the whole way. Marcus has them in separate room but they are right besides one another. The next day they head out to explore and enjoy themselves. They have dinner before they head to the concert. Olivia finds out Marcus has VIP tickets and they are let in the back. When the lead guitarist leans over the stage and throws Olivia his pic Marcus has had enough. Marcus kisses her, Olivia tells him she's ready to leave. When they arrive at the hotel Marcus asks Olivia her room or his, she tells him his. Marcus carries Olivia to his room where he strips her of her clothes, he pleasures her then they make love. Marcus and Olivia stay the night together wrapped in each other. The next day they have an early flight, so Olivia heads to her room to get ready. On the flight home, Olivia thanks Marcus for the trip and concert tickets. Marcus and Olivia spend the next week together enjoying each other's company. Marcus and Olivia rush home, they make love. Marcus asks Olivia to marry him, and she tells him yes. Marcus tells her he loves her, Olivia tells him she loves him. Eleven months later, they get married at Olivia's granny's home. Nine months later, Olivia is pregnant, they're expecting a son. Olivia's water breaks and they head to the hospital. Marcus tells her he loves her and Olivia tells him she loves him.

I enjoying this story very much when reading it immediately after it was released

I'm leaving this review as a sort of guide for readers that are fans of this author and the group of authors that those of us who love this genre can associate her with as in general "guaranteed gonna read eventually" when they put out a book ( Loni Ree shows up along side Amazon listed authors such as M.C. Moore , ChaChari(sp?) M., Hope Ford, Frankie Love Shaw Heart etc.)

I recommend that if you were wait for the second book to come out like I was, go back and read this one again first, the read the sequel that just came out like yesterday ( it's 5/18/21 today)
I say this because I was that right away because I was excited it finely came out, only to re read this after, and realized two things.
1. I would have enjoyed the second much more if I'd read it shortly after this one, before I'd forgotten what is love about this story staring Marcus and Olivia ( with a loaded set up for his brother Thomas and Ellas' story to follow...
I read that and then came back to this book and realized I wish I'd had the desire to re-read this be for diving into the second because I waited so long for it id forgotten that sometimes books in a series are better when you haven't different the first be for reading next ( sometimes thes e authors series are better at a whole then their counterparts as standalones)
And 2. After reading something another author left as an end of story note to her readers( not loni ree but in that grouping she falls in).. Was how her book/story's that she'd just published had been affected in many ways due to the quarantine.. Something I hindered knowing a little about the bus end of being an artist ( as one myself who despite begin accepted into 2 of the top Art schools of this country with scholarship and all, decided not to go, because I saw how turning my craft into my means of income negativity affected my work, giving me the perspective that I hope intense respect for those who can have their craft be consistent as a career , also adding to this I'd also 'worked with arts in the indie music business world( music not being where my creative form of art that I'm seem to be skilled with, but understanding the business and to an extent that benefited the arts I worked with, as being a creator myself, but not me, cause the buz end ppl kinda can't be so sympathetic to the artist end if THEY stand a chance at making money .. It's weird cause your think since they both equally need the other to achieve success they wouldn't be so dismissive of the importance the other is in playing g a part in the work of takes to put it out there for us to consume, and have their work not suck as a result of working together instead of against each other in however the system that combines the biz and art worlds together ... I haven't been on the biz side of writing, but I can only imagine the head ache as is been on both seats in different mediums... Ironically my perspective helped out the arts end, but screwed me on the making Money for me end as the biz person..)
POINT BEING us readers show be aware going in and not be as harsh if the finished products went as up To par with what an author we love usually puts out, it's not their fault, they are still talented, we need to cut the entertainment industry some slack somehow..

End rant
Book was good second was good too but better if read directly after this, and understand maybe the delay in it coming out so far after this one and it maybe not being on the level we come to expect from this author of already familiar and fans of her, it's not cause she's is slipping ,and
... but maybe it's due to the same issues that other author mentioned being hindered by not having access to the same publishing end tools that she had before quarantine...

She has become his obsession.....how did that happen again?

Over It is the first book in the Boss from Hell series and all I can say is that Marcus Thornhill was definitely a boss from hell for Olivia Overton. The worst thing was that he was not actually her regular boss, as that was his brother Thomas. But when she will not accompany Thomas on a six week work trip to London she and Marcus's PA Ella switch. So there is a definite end date to this hell she finds herself in, that is if she does not strangle Marcus with his tie first. Initially when Olivia started working for Marcus she was like all the other women in the office as they fawned over him. After all he is tall, handsome and very sexy. But she is way over that delusion and knows the reality of just how unreasonable and demanding he actually is. She just needs to make it two more weeks and then Thomas will owe her forever for this.
Marcus is the CEO of Thornhill & Brunts, a business consulting company he started with his brother Thomas and their third partner Josh. They are based in Atlanta but work with businesses all over the world. Marcus is focused and disciplined....but that all goes out the window when he finds himself obsessed with Olivia, a woman he barely even knew before now. He is so crazy about her that he tries to make her miss her standing Thursday night date by making up work to keep her late at the office. Even though he has no idea who the standing date is with. The man has it bad but he also knows that the partners made a rule that no one could become involved with another employee. Plus he also has certain feelings about this because of he father, who was an infamous skirt chaser and cheater on their mother. But that does not mean he does not dream every night about Olivia and what he would like to do with and to her.

I really enjoyed and laughed with this well written story. The story is written in dual POV with some great, and very humorous inner thoughts of both characters. I have to say that I laughed harder at Marcus as he was a man on the edge in more ways than one. He comes up with plans to ensure Olivia is not able to go on her Thursday night dates which make it even worse for him and puts him in more misery. Olivia is charming and I also loved her Granny Sue. There was a woman with some good sense and is ready to kick Olivia in the butt when she needs it. This was another winner by Loni Ree as it mixes humor, drama, romance, family and some very sexy and smokin' hot passion.

Marcus and his brother trade PA’s for six weeks, Olivia is attracted to Marcus but he runs hot and cold and is a huge jerk to her. He is fighting his feelings for her, his dad slept with all the secretaries in his office cheating on their mom, so he won’t go after Olivia. Lots of back and forth, then he gets the brilliant idea to take her on a business trip, she glams up for the trip and of course Marcus is effected. After a dinner on the way back to the hotel they kiss, but after Marcus rejects her. Feeling heartbroken she changes back to her old self and tries to ignore him for the last few days working for him. Once his brother is back he gets the story of why he’s being difficult out of Marcus. Tells him he is nothing like their father and he should go for Olivia. I liked that when he told her he wanted to date her she told him she had to think about it. After a few days she agrees to date him, but he wants something much more serious. He takes her to New York and does all the touristy things with her and caps the night off with concert tickets to her favorite group. That night, at the hotel they have their first time together, back home he continues to woo her. They marry almost a year later with an epilogue nine months later with a baby.

Olivia has a job as a personal assistant to one of the two brothers CEOs. Now her boss is overseas on a six week business trip. Olivia can't leave her grandmother for so long so the brothers switched personal assistants. Now Olivia works for the older brother Marcus. Marcus is cold, arrogant and demanding. Olivia is just trying to hold on until the time is up but Marcus keeps getting more and more outrageous. Still now no matter how much Marcus drives her nuts she is still feeling attracted to him.

Marcus is struggling with his feelings for Olivia. He and his brothers have made rules forbidding workplace relationships. Their father was a player and slept with his secretaries. When Marcus can't keep his mind off Olivia, he is confused. He is jealous of anyone else looking at or toughing Olivia. Hearing that she has a standing date every Thursday night, Marcus is determined to stop the date. He doesn't realize the date is with her grandmother. He finds himself running hot and cold with Olivia which confuses Olivia and may drive her away.

Olivia is acting as Marcus’s PA for for 6 weeks while her regular boss is out of the country. Olivia thinks Marcus is an unreasonable, demanding jerk of a boss. However, Marcus is fighting his attraction to Olivia because he doesn’t want to be like his dad and sleep with his secretary and the company has a policy about coworkers not dating. He has Olivia accompany him on an out of town trip and after drinking too much they end up making out but stop before they go too far. When they return home Olivia returns to her regular boss but they both realize they have feelings for each other. Will Marcus and Olivia finally admit to each other how they feel?

I give this book 4.5 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed this story where enemies become much closer but company policy and Marcus’s family history keep them apart. The author did a great job showing their developing feelings and I loved the role that Olivia’s granny and Marcus’s brother had in them getting together. The epilogue was a perfect ending for their story.

In Over It (Boss from Hell Book 1) we follow along as Marcus & Olivia stumble their way to happily ever after.

Olivia's boss is on out of town business so she's temporarily assigned as his brother Marcus' PA. She's very attracted to his looks, but his bad attitude is so bad that she's afraid she'll kill him before her boss gets back.

Marcus knows he's being an ass to his temporary assistant, but he just can't help it. He's so attracted to her that it's driving him crazy but there's no way he can let himself get involved with an employee. Now if he can just get his heart & his head to agree on things...

This was a great start to a new series. The main characters are a real trip. They both have so many conflicting emotions that they drive each other crazy. The story line was enjoyable, tho a little off in a spot or two. It's a quick read that long on entertainment. All in all, if this is an example of this new series then we're in for a treat with the rest of it.

I read this book through Kindle Unlimited.
