The Watchers know all about Hellfire Academy. They also know who Kennedy’s father is.

After weeks of travelling the world to find even a hint about the Watchers, Kennedy discovered their origins were a little closer to home. Instead of spending summer break in Italy with Gabriel, she’s spending it in the home of the most senior member of the Watchers.

With the prophecy's warning echoing in her ears, Kennedy is reluctant to trust the Watchers, even when they ask for her help to defeat a fallen angel. But the Watchers have a piece of information Kennedy is desperate to get her hands on: who her father is.

With secret missions, unbreakable vows, and an enemy shrouded in secrecy, it's not just Kennedy's future that's at risk. The prophecy might be bigger than anyone imagined and the only thing standing in the way of death and destruction is a nephilim and an archangel.

Cheryl works in an office by day. By night she leads a (not-so) secret life DJing, and throughout it all, is constantly scribbling away as the plot bunnies demand constant attention.

Her first novel was written when she should have been revising for her exams. While it is unlikely to ever see the light of day, it was the start of long relationship with the evil plot bunnies of doom.

A need to do more than just one subject led her to the University of Hull, where she graduated with an honours degree in American Studies. For the third year of the four year degree, she was able to call Baton Rouge home. Since then, Louisiana has claimed a large chunk of her heart, and remains a place she will always consider home.

LSU was where she discovered FanFiction and currently writes (mainly) CSI:NY stories and a Rescue: Special Ops story.

When not transcribing the stories of the angels and archangels, working, or DJing, she is at the beck and call of three cats – all of whom rank higher in the household than she does.

“Demon Legacy” is the third installment in C.L. Coffey’s UF “Hellfire Academy” Series, which is set in a whole new world populated by Angels, Demons and Nephilim, and whose MC (Dora Kennedy) is a relatable, interesting and funny young girl, the offspring of a human and an angel. After living with her mother’s paranoia for years, and moving constantly across the country, the reality came crushing down in Las Vegas. Kennedy was in fact a Nephilim and the Fallen (her mother ‘demons’) were really after her. And that is how she got a place at the Greenwood Preparatory University (Hellfire Academy for insiders 😊). Kennedy more or less willingly accepted to enrol with the sole condition of having her mother taken care of, which sadly doesn’t work that well. As her mother goes missing, Kennedy and Gabriel (the Angel who recruited her into the Academy) embarked in a quest to find her whereabouts, which put them in the trail of the Watchers and their unknown role in the past events, while the Academy as being rebuilt following an attack by the Fallen.

Kennedy has just found out the secret and the real scope of prophecy, but that was only the beginning, the real struggle is about to begin, and Kennedy jumps right into it, fueled by the possibility to finally found out the identity of her father, and avert the prophecy. An archangel and a Nephilim is all that stands between victory and utterly destruction.

C.L. Coffey envisions Nephilim as demon/human hybrids, the “bad guys” in the eyes of the Angels, a new take that is both refreshing and very original. Her Angels are as flawed as the humans, which makes for a very entertaining reading. With a fast-paced plot full of twists and turns and a veritable strong female MC capable to make the best of any situation, this is a fabulous addiction to the paranormal urban fantasy genre.

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from Booksprout for giving my two cents. We left Kennedy and the gang headed to Texas for thr summer ay Leigh-Anne and Harrisons family estate...what was Kennedy thinking going into a den of lions...or watchers in this case. Harrison takes Kennedy to a room to show her smtg only to be ambushed by his father and other watchers. They explain what they are and what they do but on order to gain more knowledge she has to sign a covenant...plus thr bonus that they know who her father is....that little voice in her head makes her sign it..but the senator didn't tell her she would be in severe pain if she tried to tell anyone. Harrison and Kennedy has a task...find a women Natasha at a local "church" she's been using children and they want to stop her. This ignites a fire inside of Kennedy when things go ary. There is so much Kennedy doesn't know but when she learns who her father is....it's not smtg to be proud of and it may cost her everything. Drama, deceit, love and the unknown make this a great read.

Now our heroine wants information about her dad, but the people that have that information are not exactly people she wants to work with. Is the information important enough to her to balance the risk?

This is book three of the series. It works pretty well as a standalone, but you will be missing some of the backstory if you start here.

This is a paranormal romance of sorts, with angels and demons as the main protagonists. The story is well written and easy to read, with each book building on the previous ones. Both our setting and our characters get a bit more depth in this book, which is always a good thing. The plot is also getting more convoluted, with several twists and turns which definitely keep things interesting. Overall, I enjoyed this installment and look forward to seeing where it goes next.

Highly recommended.

I am once again on edge waiting for the next book. It was more than enough to get me hooked. Once I started, I could not stop and finished the book in a day. I really enjoy watching the relationship build between Kennedy and Gabriel, as well as the friendships between Kennedy, Ty and Leigh Ann. It was nice getting a bit more of a glimpse into the Sinclair family and the watchers. I loved the reveal for Kennedy's father and it seems like there might be a secret about her mother that may be revealed soon. I can not wait to get more of this story. I rated this installment 4.5 out of 5 stars, if you want a quick and exciting read, I would definitely recommend this series, and it is imperative to start from book one.

Pandora goes home with Leigh-Ann and Gabriel goes to Rome for the summer break. Both are trying to find anything they can about the watchers. Pandora doesn't realize it yet, but she is staying with a family of watchers. Before she understands what is going on she signs a covenant that prevents her from telling anyone what is going on. She tries, but it causes painful blinding headaches. And the adventure goes on. The characters blend well and work well with a plot that has plenty of twists and turns. This installment was very good and a fast read. I can't wait for the next book.

Non-stop action packed and fast paced phenomenal story. Kennedy is on summer break. She is going home to the Sinclair household. While she's there she is deceived and signs a covenant that is non breaking. She's unable to share what is happening to her with her special angel. Facing various situations she has to overcome and persevere. She finally knows who her father is. Strange things are happening to her and she needs to find the truth. A great read.

Dora Kennedy learns a lot about herself in this book. More people die and secrets are revealed. Did you ever read a book that makes you feel what is happening? This book does that to me, the emotions Kennedy feels I felt, I wanted to cry and yell at the end. The emotions overwhelmed me. Now I need the next book to find out what is going to happen. I really good read! I would recommend this book to all.

I am so enjoying this series! It has everything that you would like and the mysteries and wonders just keep building!
I find myself on a regular basis thinking 'oh snap' or 'what the hell?'
Never a dull moment even when it's just the mundane actions of all the characters.
I cannot wait to see where the path leads for Kennedy.

This was an edge of your seat thrilling story. Nothing is coming easy for Kennedy. There are more questions then answers and things aren’t what they first appeared and still on the hunt for the identity of her father. This is a fresh and exciting series that flows beautifully.
