4.5 After Dark Stars

Well okay then!
So there I was, minding my own business and flipping through my amazon recommendations, when this hot little number caught my eye. Now, the 'Zon has let me down in the past with regards to new to me authors, but after reading Charm School After Dark: Lesson 1 I’m happy to say all those failures are forgiven.
The Calvo Quads, together again.
Caelen Calvo, otherwise known as “baby C” or one fourth of the Calvo Quads, has run into some serious bad luck. After losing her childhood mentor and friend, Ms. Belle, as well as being fired and publicly humiliated by her still married boss/boyfriend, she’s left wondering just what the hell she did to piss Karma off.
The one bright spot in her quagmire of suckitude is the chance to take over Ms. Belle’s Charm School and pick up where her dear friend left off. It turns out Ms. Belle was making plans to start teaching classes of certain ahem sexual nature to supplement the school’s dwindling income and if Caelen wants a shot at running the place, she’s going to have to bite the bullet and instruct some sexy classes. First lesson: BJs! Where’s a newly single girl to find a willing man to test out BJ techniques with?
Dare Lagos has always had a thing for Caelen Calvo. As teens at Ms. Belle’s they butted heads more than they got along, but his feelings for Caelen always ran hot and deep. Aftereavesdropping on overhearing Caelen’s plan to find a man to experiment with, Dare’s first in line to volunteer. With no other prospects on the horizon, Caelen’s forced to accept her frenemy’s offer.
I’ve been a little disappointed with the Contemporary Romance genre as of late but this book slapped me straight out of my funk. From the description you’d think this was just another excuse to cram as many sex scenes as possible into a story but luckily that’s not the case. I love me some hot book sexytimes but I need a little plot to go along with my smut.
Luckily as far-fetched as the premise is, it worked here. The oral practice sessions took a back seat to Caelen and Dare connecting again and dealing with the many many relationship issues they both had. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of hotness to be had, it just didn’t overwhelm the story.
And my favorite thing about discovering this new to me author? Ms. Carmer can write. Really well, in fact. It sounds like an obvious enough thing for a writer to be able to tackle, but I swear it’s a lost art based on some of the books I’ve read lately. Getting to know Caelen, Dare and the rest of the Calvo Quads was fun as hell and left me wanting more of this series.
After finishing this I’m left with only one question: When do we get Baby B, Brynn’s story? Reading about the slightly uptight college professor getting her sex toy instruction on should be all kinds of fun.

Great entertainment! Humorous with an eclectic mix of characters that make this a winning combination. Let me also say that this is a highly erotic novel with a mature theme. Caelen Calvo is the main female protagonist who has three other sisters of which I can't wait to read more of. They are called the Calvo Quads and with good reason since they are almost always together, and who knows what they'll be up to next. Having inherited a charm school, it's going to prove challenging. Adding sexy Dare to the mix will be even more so for Caelen who wants to keep it all business and no distractions. Love seeing these sisters in action and being there for each other. This is unputdownable good fun and I'm sure the next will be a blast. If you're looking for a new author, this is one to try.

Review for "Charmed School After Dark: Lesson 1"
Where do I begin? The story caught my interest so of course I had to read it. This is a really good book. It is defiantly for the 18 y.o. and older crowd. I loved the sisters and how the author gave them each various lives and personalities. I could picture Dare in this book. To me, I want to say he is my Christian Gray. Lol. If you want to a story to draw you in and make you feel the emotions that these characters are going thru then this is your book. Be warned there is lots of sexual contents so have your fire extinguisher handy. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

OH MY GOODNESS!! There is so much I want to tell you about this book. So many scenes I want to quote to you but I need for you to experience it all for yourself. This was such a refreshing read with the humor and YUM YUM SEX. I was laughing hard and sighing at just the right times. I think this book was absolutely perfect. I cannot wait to read the next one........psstt....it's already on my kindle.

"3.5 out of 5 stars! While the Calvo Quads are informed that their mentor left her Charm School to them in her will, they are also informed about the harsh situation the school is in. First – the Charm School is in dire financial straits. Second – there is someone who hopes to take the school from them. Then Third – their mentor’s plan to save the school was to host afterhours private classes for women who need a little help in the bedroom and they only have four days left to learn what they can before the first class. Because of an argument that the quads have it becomes apparent to Caelen that she’ll be in charge of the first class, especially if she wants to keep the school. So, Caelen does what she can to find out everything about her mentor’s first topic, blowjobs. Now if she can find the right man so help her out. Her old nemesis looks to be the perfect guy for her, and he is so very willing. This story is all about the Calvo Quads, Anthea, Bryn, Caelen & Darcy, who inherit Ms. Belle’s Charm School. Did you catch the Babies A, B, C, D theme? Now Ms. Belle lived to save kids & I love this quote that total explains her perfectly:
“Ms. Belle had collected kids, brushed them off, and made them feel special.”
I can’t imagine having or even raising Quads, but Ms. Calvo must have shipped her girls to Ms. Belle every summer just for sanity reasons, at least I would!
First thing they learn is their Southern prim & proper Ms. Belle was only able to keep her school’s doors by teaching her After Dark classes to her monthly The Ladies That Lunch meeting. Then Ms. Hattie, 82 yr old, teacher unlocks an antique chest with whips, chains, feathers, leather, plastic & silicone sex toy explosion & tell each Quad that they will need teach a class on Sex 101. I didn’t know which was funny the chest or a granny literally WHIPPING OUT this sex toy chest. Looks like Ms. Belle & Ms. Hattie enjoy the kinky side of life. HOLY SMOKES!!!!
This book was ON FIRE!
But for as hot as it was, it also had its very sweet moments. And its very hilarious moments. I LOVE this book!!! Lynn is my idea of an ideal author; I like all of the aforementioned qualities in a story, all balanced out perfectly, and Lynn certainly pulled that off here!
The synopsis alone was enough to sell me on this one. I was intrigued to see how Lynn would have this premise play out into a cogent story. I was delightfully surprised to find a solid plot and steady storyline that had me sneaking in pages whenever I had a spare minute.
Dare and Caelen had a childhood history, and I absolutely loved that element. He was definitely a tortured and wounded man in need of a certain something. Caelen was also wounded and tortured, but she hid it in a unique way. This wacky charm-school scenario brings them together, and their chemistry (and verbal sparring) is unavoidable.
Towards the end, the rest of the series is hinted at (I'm trying not to spoil anything!) , and let's just say that I am DYING with anticipation about what will happen with the last sister and her handsome "Devil"!

I am not quite sure where to start but just let me say this book was NOTHING like what I thought it was going to be.
Caelen is a smart, fashion loving women who has no idea what she wants until she realizes they may lose the school. Other than her horrible taste in men (until Dare) she is my kind of girl. She tries to keep things as business-like as possible even though her heart and other specific body parts are telling her otherwise.
Dare has known he wanted Caelen since they were kids. He was very brave to let her leave and go to college, but I still think he should have at least kept in contact with her over the years. Maybe they wouldn't have ended up with the crappy ex's the both have.
The sister are as tight as any group of siblings but fight the same too. I love that, no matter what information came out when the Devil came to visit, they had each others backs. Some families don't feel the same about loyalty.

Charm School + Kink
Right from the start you get thrown in to a whirl wind of sisters! Not just any sister but quad sisters! The author did amazing and making each one unique. I could really feel how truly different they were. This book is about Caelen. She has had a rough patch in her life and has turned to a place she feels is home. The steamy strip tease to the angst kept me running hot!
The quads have a fierce loyalty to each other despite their fighting and bickering. I love that I could connect with that aspect for as I have a sister also. The girls get a lot of responsibility dumped on them and they handled it with ease.
Insert Mr. Steamy Firefighter. Whew totally hotness. A good man with a rough life also. No one is perfect and the author captured that perfectly. She didn't make it all roses and I like that.
I can't go into too much without giving away all the good parts. I loved the equal parts of sexy and serious.
This book is well thought out and seamlessly moved from one event to another.

Great little read.
I enjoyed this book. It was a fun, sexy and educational little read. It certainly gave me a few ideas. Ha Ha!!
But seriously I loved Dare he a strong Alpha Male type of character. He's been hurt in the past and doesn't trust women in general now.
He's always had a thing for Caelen Calvo one of the quads he grew up with. They parted ways years ago but now they are back to help out at the Charm School where they all hung around growing up.
Caelen needs help with some extra curricular activity to keep the Charm School afloat and Dare is only to happy to help her out in any way he can.
He just needs to convince her he's the man for the job.
The characters were all entertaining and I loved the quads. I'm looking forward to hearing more on them individually.

Oh my word I'm done reading and still fanning myself.
This book was of the charts sexy and funny. I absolutely love these characters. This is Dare and Caelen's story. Caelen and her sisters have just inherited a charm school with a side of sex classes. She has four days to learn all the different ways to give Bj's. So she enlists the help of her long lost nemesis Dare. Dare has loved Caelen since eighth grade but never said anything instead the teased each. When Caelen comes back and Dare being divorced he's all in for whatever she has planned. Caelen wants to keep it strictly professional Dare wants everything. When deep dark secrets come to life and the shite really hits the fan can Dare separate his past from the future?

Caelen Calvo and her three sisters (the are quadruplets) have inhered charm school. The same school where they found refuge when they were younger. The only problem is not many young people are interested in etiquette lessons. The former headmistress has come up with a plan, that could save them.
Quads have no choice but to follow it. The idea was to teach adult classes.
Caelen classes will have to focus on Oral Instructions. :) To prepare for class, she needs someone to... practice on. :)

Charm School After Dark by Lynn Carmer is a great book. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I had not read anything from Lynn before. I was impressed to say the least. This book was exciting.
Caelen has definitely had her share of bad karma it seems. Things start to look up when she takes over the Charm School. Little does Caelen know just what kind of lessons she will be teaching though. Hot and steamy doesn’t even begin to describe them. Who better to help her with the lessons than Dare, who there has always been chemistry with?
I was happy to see that while this book was H-O-T, it also had a great storyline/plot to go with it. I am looking forward to more books from Lynn Carmer.

3.7 for me. This book is quirky with a blend of sexual lessons for the big D mixed in. I’ve read reviews stating that storyline starts out a bit slow but picks up and I will agree with that. It makes sense as to why when we’re at the end of lesson one because we now have a better grasp on the quad sisters and what they’re about. There are some oh

This is one of those hot steamy reads where you are going to take your man into the bedroom to practice what you have learned. This was my first time reading this author and I was amazed at her writing. She was able to bring out many emotional elements in her writing. She had me laughing and cry thru the book. Heck there were even some parts I could relate too.
This book shows and proves to you that true relationship take a lot of work. In and out of the bedroom.

Dare I say it was amazing?!?!?
I loved Caelen and Dare's chemistry. She need his help and he has been waiting since their 7 minutes in heaven. They don't make it easy for each other but that us most of the fun. The sexy parts are fanfuckingtastic and I can't wait for book 2 to come out!!

Fabulous series beginning!

Great book!
Charm School After Dark: Lesson 1 was the first I have read by Lynn Carmer but will definitely not be my last. The banter and sizzling chemistry between Dare and Caelen, I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what the rest of this series has in store.

What a cute, sexy, unique little contemporary romance. Not quite a romcom because the push/pull and angst was a bit on the higher side, but I’ll admit the sisters and all the banter between, well, everyone was quite hilarious.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Caelen and Dare were hot and heavy. Childhood nemesis, it was a tale as old as time…two kids in young love who missed their chance. Fast forward and Dare is divorced while Caelen has recently left a not-so-pleasant relationship. Caelen and her 3 sisters are given a charm school turned sexual education school and up first is Caelen teaching fellatio. Dare volunteers to be her guinea pig and the sparks fly!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

LOTS of push and pull from Caelen. I really liked Dare and his honesty. Caelen was a bit immature but she saved the day at the end. The ending was ABRUPT AF, though and I wanted more. Told in dual-3rd person was also a bit awkward for storytelling but it worked.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Quadruplets initially named Baby A, Baby B, Baby C and Baby D while in the hospital after birth have all grown into young women and have inherited a Charm School from the woman who owned and operated it until her death. It is in financial difficulties and it was planned to be turned into classes for women to be able to do sexual type activities with boyfriends and husbands instead of the traditional classes for boys and girls which did not pay enough to keep the school going. The sisters are shocked but undertake to learn techniques that were planned for the classes. Multiple issues with their own personal relationships are being learned to be dealt with and I will not give any other spoilers but to say this was a fun good read with just a bit of melodrama!

Wow!!! I absolutely loved everything about this book! Dare is mega hot! Caelen had so much growth in this book. The sexy scenes were so hot!!🔥🔥. I can't wait to see what happens with The Devil! Fantastic writing.

Not a bad read. I like the element of secret night sexy classes and liked how the MC’s worked well together. Also quite liked the conflict (h sept with a married man and H’s ex wife cheated on him) but didn’t feel like I was that immersed into the story.

This book was had a lot of story and so much more to come... Caelan and Dares story was truly a love that took over a decade to come together... the characters and storyline are very addictive ... each character has their own secrets and painful past ... can't wait to read more...

The charm school after dark crew will have you hooting and laughing, while also steaming the sheets while practicing the lessons. The entire cast of characters is amazing and you will rush to find out what happens with the Quads. Baby C got her story here, now is Baby B turn. Lesson two ready!

What a absolutely fantastic read!! I loved reading about the Calvo Quads and each of their personalities!!
The Calvo Quads inherit a charm school they grew up helping out attending. Then they learn it's up for foreclosure but the deceased owner had some tricks up her sleeve to get the funding to keep it going. A special after dark" class that the girls must teach themselves.... And must personally have done what they are teaching! Caelen is thrust into the limelight for the first class and she has to find someone to "practice" on.... In walks Dare her preteen nemesis turned super sexy hot headed firefighter! Both have crazy pasts threatening to tear them apart before they even get started. Can they keep this casual and stick to the arrangement or are old hidden feelings going to surface?? And on top of all the drama a long lost relative of Ms. Belle's has showed up trying to take the girls inheritance, will the young "fresh drink of water" get his way????
So much drama with these Quads I could not put this book down. I stayed up til 3am reading. I can not wait to read Brynns story!!!!
